John 15:13-15 NIV ~ “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. [14] You are my friends if you do what I command. [15] I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
I have two questions for you today, “Have you accepted Jesus as your friend?” And how do you treat your friends?
Did you hear what Jesus said, “You are no longer being called a servant, You are now called friend!”
Friends of Jesus love one another, obey His commandments, understand His truths, and are chosen to bear fruit that last. Friends share with one another, encourage, speak the truth, are patient, loving and they are a reflection of Him. One of the most important parts of Christian’s life, is not the work you do, but the relationship that you maintain with God, and because you nurture this relationship all your other relationships line up according to the Father. That is all God wants, for you to give Him your attention.
For this reason alone, Jesus endured all the things that He went through for your sake, and of those that are chosen, so that you may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it brings you eternal glory. You are no longer a slave, but a friend.
Let’s Pray:
This is A Prayer for Friendship ~ Lord Jesus, Thank You for giving me such a vibrant community of friends to do life with. I praise You for the people You have blessed me with, the ones who love, encourage, support, and uplift me through all the twists and turns of life. I’m so grateful that I do not have to go through life alone. God, You show me examples of Your love through my friends. I pray that You will be present in my friendships and that You would draw us into a deeper relationship with You and that we will be in unity. I pray that You would help heal any places of brokenness or discord in my friendships, and that You would restore them to what You designed them to be. Thank You for my friends, Jesus. In your name I pray, Amen.
I thank God for my Friendship’s with all of you!
Blessings…
