Good Morning Sunshine! God Requires Your Yes!

Hebrews 11:8 ~ “By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.”

God will not force His Will upon you, but He invites you into partnership with Him. His plans for you are good, His purpose is perfect, and His direction is sure! Yet, He requires your yes to bring His Will to completion in your life! Saying yes to God is more than just words; it is a commitment to follow Him, even when the path is unclear. (James 1:22). It is a declaration that you trust His ways over your own, that you will lay down your fears and step into obedience. It is an act of surrender that says, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”

Throughout Scripture, you see God using ordinary people who gave Him their yes, Abraham said yes and left everything familiar, stepping into God’s promise without knowing the destination! Moses said yes and led God’s people out of slavery, despite his own insecurities! Mary said yes and became the mother of the Savior, surrendering to God’s divine plan! Jesus said yes in the Garden of Gethsemane, accepting the cross for the salvation of the world! God is still calling His people today. He is calling you, He is asking, “Whom shall I send?” He is waiting for those who will respond, “Here I am, Lord. Send me.”

I know that saying yes to God is not always easy. It requires trust! It may mean stepping into the unknown, releasing your comfort, or walking in faith even when you don’t have all the answers. However, every yes to God unlocks new levels of purpose, blessing, and intimacy with Him! Will you give God your yes today? Will you trust Him with your life, your plans, and your future?

Many times, the enemy will attack you right before you say yes to God. Fear creeps in. Doubt whispers that you are unqualified. The weight of past failures makes you question if God can really use you. This is what happened to Moses. When God called him to lead Israel, he immediately gave excuses, “Who am I that I should go?” (Exodus 3:11)! “What if they don’t believe me?” (Exodus 4:1)! “I am slow of speech and tongue.” (Exodus 4:10) Yet God’s response was clear: “I will be with you.” (Exodus 3:12)! He is the same God today that He was yesterday, and He will be the same God today and tomorrow and forever more!

God never calls you because you are capable, He calls you because He is able! Your yes is not about your strength; it is about His Power working through you! Give up the excuse and give God your yes! So, what is really holding you back from giving God your yes? Is it fear of failure? The need for control? The comfort of familiarity? Whatever it is, lay it at His feet today and trust that His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9)!

Your yes had a ripple affect! Picture this, a small pebble dropped into a still pond. The moment it touches the water, ripples spread outward, reaching far beyond the initial impact. This is what happens when you say yes to God. Your obedience does not just affect you; it creates a ripple effect that touches lives, families, communities, and generations. Abraham’s yes led to the birth of a nation. Mary’s yes brought forth the Savior of the world. Your yes, no matter how small, has the power to change lives forever!

Consider the unnamed boy in John 6 who offered his five loaves and two fish to Jesus. In his hands, it was just a small meal. But in the hands of Jesus, his yes led to the miraculous feeding of over five thousand people, with leftovers. What if he had held back? What if he had decided his offering was too insignificant? This is the beauty of surrender; God takes your yes and multiplies it beyond what you could ever imagine!

Let’s Pray:

Father, I hear Your call, and today I choose to respond. I say yes to Your Will, yes to Your purpose, and yes to the journey You have set before me. Father, I surrender my fears, my doubts, and my need for control. I trust that Your plans are greater than mine, that Your ways are higher, and that when I step in obedience, You will provide every step of the way. Like Abraham, I say yes even when I don’t know where You are leading, but I trust you. Like Mary, I say yes even when I don’t fully understand Your plan. Like Moses, I say yes despite my weaknesses. And like Jesus, I say yes even when surrender requires sacrifice. Use my life for Your Glory. Let my yes be my offering! My surrender be my strength! And my obedience be my worship! I declare today that I will follow You wherever You lead! Here I am, Father. Send me! In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen and Amen!

Blessings…

Love, Minister Jean
