Good Morning Sunshine! Ignore the Sound and Follow the Voice!

John 10:27 (NIV) ~ “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

2 Samuel 5:24 (NIV) ~ “When you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move quickly, because that will mean the Lord has gone out in front of you to strike the Philistine army.”

Yesterday, we declared with boldness that God’s Word is final, “You said this, but God said That.” But even when we know God’s Word, life can still be filled with noise. The voices of fear, doubt, people’s opinions, and even our own emotions can grow so loud that they drown out truth. That’s why today we learn a deeper lesson, ignore the sound and follow the voice. The voice of God is steady, sure, and guiding, even when the sounds around you are chaotic.

All Pilots must go through training. And Pilots in training often face a critical moment, learning to trust their instruments instead of the sounds they hear or the feelings in their body. In poor visibility, a pilot can feel like the plane is turning when it’s actually level, or dropping when it’s actually steady. That’s called spatial disorientation, and if the pilot follows the sound of the engine or the feeling in their body instead of the guiding instruments, the results can be disastrous. But when they trust the instrument panel, the reliable voice of truth, they fly safely.

The same is true in life. The sounds around you may scream chaos, but God’s voice through His Word and His Spirit remains constant. Life is noisy; from social media to news headlines, from well-meaning advice to internal self-talk, we are constantly bombarded with sound. But not every sound deserves your attention. Some sounds only distract, confuse, or misleads you, but the Voice of God is sure and steady.

God’s Word reminds us in John 10:27, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” Notice that Jesus doesn’t say His sheep recognize every sound. He says they know His voice. Sounds can be deceiving, but His voice is distinct and true. Think about Elijah in 1 Kings 19:11–12. The Lord was not in the wind, nor in the earthquake, nor in the fire, nor was it in loud, overwhelming sounds; but instead, God’s Presence was revealed in a gentle whisper. Elijah had to tune out the noise to perceive the voice. This is the tension you face. The sound of the crowd said Jairus’s daughter was dead. But the voice of Jesus said, “She is only sleeping” (Mark 5:39). Which one was true? The sound said it’s over. The voice said there’s still life. Jairus had to ignore the sound and trust the voice. This is what you need to do, ignore the other sounds and trust the Voice of God!

Sometimes the sound comes from inside of you; fear, doubt, or anxiety can scream louder than faith. The Israelites heard the sound of the giants’ taunts in 1 Samuel 17, but David listened to the voice of God, which told him victory was already his. Sounds often create panic, but the voice of God creates peace. Philippians 4:7 tells you that God’s peace “transcends all understanding” and guards your hearts and minds. When you feel panic rising, pause and ask, “Is this the sound of fear or the voice of God?” Know the difference, and how do you learn it, by spending time in His Word and Worship!

David learned this lesson in 2 Samuel 5:24 when God told him, “When you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the poplar trees, move quickly, because that will mean the Lord has gone out in front of you.” Not every sound is a distraction, sometimes God uses sound as confirmation. The key is discerning His voice within it. How do you do that? By soaking in His Word. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” The more you fill yourself with Scripture, the more you recognize His voice in the midst of noise.

Jesus Himself modeled this. Surrounded by crowds and noise, He often withdrew to solitary places to pray (Luke 5:16). He chose silence with the Father over the sound of the crowd. That silence sharpened His ear to follow His Father’s voice. You must learn to do the same thing. Sometimes that means turning down the volume on distractions. Sometimes it means shutting out the noise of your own negative self-talk. Sometimes it means stepping away from environments that amplify fear.

The enemy thrives in noise. He knows if he can keep you listening to the sound of fear and your own thoughts, you won’t hear the still small voice of God’s direction. That’s why Ephesians 6:16 calls faith a shield that extinguishes the flaming arrows of the enemy, including the sounds of lies. God’s voice may not always be the loudest, but it will always be the clearest when you seek Him. Isaiah 30:21 promises, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

Ignoring the sound and following the voice takes practice. It means learning to filter everything you hear through the Word of God. It means saying, “That’s what the noise says, but what does God’s voice say?” Think about Peter walking on water (Matthew 14:29–30). The sound of the storm told him he would sink. But the voice of Jesus said, “Come.” For as long as Peter followed the voice, he stood on the waves. The moment he paid attention to the sound; he began to sink. Beloved, the sounds around you may be loud, chaotic, or even frightening. But the voice of God is steady, faithful, and true. Don’t follow the sound, follow the voice. His voice leads to life, peace, and victory.

Let’s Pray:

Father, I thank You today for the reminder that life is filled with noise, but Your voice is the one I can always trust. Father, forgive me for the times I’ve been distracted by sounds, fear, doubt, criticism, or even my own anxious thoughts. Forgive me for letting those sounds drown out the truth of Your Word. Teach me, Lord, to discern Your voice clearly. Let my ears be trained to hear the Shepherd’s whisper even in the middle of the storm. I thank You that Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Help me to walk by Your voice, not by the noise of the crowd. Father, remind me that sounds can be deceiving, but Your voice never lies. Help me to trust in Your Word above every other report, every other opinion, and every other sound. Father, I pray for peace in my heart today. Let the peace that surpasses understanding guard my mind and silence the noise of fear and doubt. Father, help me to be like Elijah, who tuned out the wind, the earthquake, and the fire until he perceived the gentle whisper of Your presence. Make me sensitive to Your Spirit, Lord. Let me recognize when You are speaking, even when the sounds around me are chaotic. Protect me from the enemy’s lies. Let faith rise up in me so that every flaming arrow of fear is extinguished. Lord, help me to follow Your voice like Peter did on the water. Keep my eyes fixed on You, so that I do not sink when the storm rages. Surround me with Your presence and guide me with Your voice. Let me hear Your instruction clearly: “This is the way; walk in it.” Father, help me to live in daily communion with You, so that I never confuse the noise of life with the truth of Your Word. I declare today that I will ignore the sound and follow the voice. I will trust You, obey You, and rest in the confidence that You always lead me to safety. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Nugget: The sound may be loud, but the Shepherd’s voice is clear. Follow the voice.

Good Morning Sunshine! You Said This, But God Said That, And That’s It!

Hebrews 13:8 (NIV) ~ “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Isaiah 40:8 (NIV) ~ “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

Yesterday you rejoiced in the truth that no warranty is needed when you have God’s eternal assurance. Human promises are limited, but God’s promises are everlasting. But assurance alone would mean little if the One who gave it could change His mind or alter His word. That is where today’s theme emerges from, the contrast between what people say and what God has declared, know the difference; it can save your life. Human words will fluctuate, but God’s Word will never ever shifts or changes. When life, people, or even your own thoughts say this, God’s Word says “That.” And His Word is the final Word. According to Hebrews 4:12, “For the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”

Words are powerful. They can build up or tear down, inspire or wound. Maybe you’ve had people tell you things that still echo in your memory, “You’ll never make it,” “You’re not enough,” “This situation will never change.” Human words, no matter how confident, are still limited and often flawed. But when God speaks, His Word cuts through every lie and establishes eternal truth. God’s Word is not like man’s word. Numbers 23:19 reminds us, “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” What He says is not a suggestion; it is a settled decree!

This means you can live in the tension between two realities, what people said versus what God said. People may declare failure, but God declares victory! The world may say lack, but God speaks abundance! Your fears may whisper defeat, but God proclaims triumph! You said this, but God said, “That!” Think about Abraham. Romans 4:19–21 says that even when his body was “as good as dead,” Abraham did not waver in faith but was fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised. Human logic said one thing, impossible, but God’s Word said another, you will be the father of many nations. Abraham chose to believe that over this. They may say it is the end, but God says otherwise. People may point to the wreckage and declare that the crash has finished you, but God’s Word says, “You will live and not die, and declare the works of the Lord” (Psalm 118:17). What looks final to others is never final with God. The same way Paul and the passengers clung to broken pieces and still made it safely to shore; you too will discover that God’s promise carries you beyond the crash. His “That” overrides every human “this,” and His Word stands as the ultimate authority. This is where assurance turns into unshakable confidence!

The same Jesus who healed the sick two thousand years ago is the same Jesus that is healing you today. The same God who parted the Red Sea is still making a way for you through impossible circumstances. Hebrews 13:8 is your assurance that His nature has never changed, nor will it ever change, it will be the same tomorrow and the day after that and forever more. When you face voices of doubt, discouragement, or delay, remember, human voices are temporary, but God’s Word is eternal. Isaiah 55:11 declares, “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” His Word is effective, enduring, and guaranteed to manifest.

Consider Joseph, his brothers said he was done when they threw him into the pit and sold him into slavery. Potiphar’s wife said he was guilty when she falsely accused him. The prison bars said his destiny was limited. But God said he would rule, and in time, God’s Word prevailed. You said this, but God said “That!” The power of this truth is that your circumstances do not cancel out God’s declarations for you. Situations may shift, but His Word never shifts. You can stand in storms with unshakable confidence because the same Word that created the heavens is still the same word that sustains your life.

Even Jesus modeled this truth when tempted in the wilderness. The enemy said, “If you are the Son of God, turn these stones into bread.” But Jesus replied, “It is written…” (Matthew 4:4). He didn’t argue, He didn’t reason, He simply declared what God had already said. (Here is your do what Jesus did moment, you do remember this, WWJD! Declare the Word and God!) The enemy’s this was overpowered by God’s That. Child of God, sisters and brothers, this is your weapon too. You don’t have to fight with your feelings. You don’t have to bow to fear. You just stand on the Word and declare, you said this, but God said “That!” What has been spoken over you that contradicts God’s Word? Was it a doctor’s report, a financial statement, or a hurtful comment from someone you trusted. Line it up against Scripture and let the truth prevail. Psalm 119:89 says, “Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.”

When you feel shaken, anchor yourself in this eternal truth, God’s Word is timeless, changeless, and powerful. If He said you are chosen, you are chosen! If He said you are healed, you are healed! If He said you are free, you are free! No human declaration can override God’s divine assurance! Period! This doesn’t mean the journey will be without struggle. Joseph still had to endure the pit and the prison. Abraham still had to wait decades for Isaac. But through it all, God’s Word never failed. What He spoke was still true in the waiting and became visible in the fulfillment. What you plant today will not come up tomorrow, you have to wait! So today, shift your focus. When the enemy, the world, or even your own thoughts say this, hold tightly to what God says is That. His Word will never return void. His promises are yes and amen in Christ. And His Word over your life is stronger than any temporary word or circumstance that you can face.

Let’s Pray:

Father, I thank You for the eternal assurance of Your Word. While human words may rise and fall, Your Word stands forever. Lord, forgive me for the times I have believed man’s report more than Yours. Forgive me for listening to lies louder than I listened to truth. Today I choose to silence every “this” that contradicts the “that” You have spoken. Thank You, Father, that Your Word is unchanging. What You spoke yesterday is still true today and will remain true tomorrow. I stand on Hebrews 13:8, declaring that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Strengthen me, Lord, to cling to Your promises even when circumstances say otherwise. Let my faith be rooted not in feelings but in the eternal foundation of Your Word. Father, help me to respond like Jesus in the wilderness, with “It is written.” Let me speak Scripture boldly into every situation and watch Your Word overcome every lie. Lord, I thank You that no matter what people say, Your declaration is final. Like Joseph, I trust that what others meant for harm, You will turn into good. Give me discernment to recognize when the enemy is whispering lies. Give me boldness to replace those lies with Your truth. Let my heart always echo, “God said that.” Father, I pray for endurance in the waiting. Like Abraham, let me be fully persuaded that You have power to do what You have promised, even when the evidence around me says otherwise. Lord, root me deeply in Your Word. Let me love it, meditate on it, declare it, and live it. May it be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Father, thank You that Your promises never expire. Thank You that Your covenant is everlasting. Thank You that I am secure in You because Your Word cannot fail. Today, I release every word spoken over me that does not align with Your truth. I cancel every lie, every curse, and every false declaration in the mighty name of Jesus. I declare that I will live by every word that comes from the mouth of God. I will stand firm on Your promises, no matter the opposition. Father, let my testimony be one of faith in Your unchanging Word. May my life declare that when the world said this, You said that, and Your Word prevailed. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

Nugget: You said this, but God said that, and His Word always stands as the final word.

Good Morning Sunshine! No Warranty Needed, You Have God’s Assurance And That’s Enough!

Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV) ~ “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”

When we think about security, most of us think about warranties. Buy a new car, and it comes with a 3-year or 36,000-mile warranty. Buy a phone, and you’re offered an extended warranty in case it breaks or malfunctions. Warranties give us a sense of protection, but they also come with limitations. They expire, they have fine print, and sometimes the exact situation you need covered isn’t included. Human warranties are limited because human systems are limited.

But God doesn’t offer warranties. He offers Assurance. His promises don’t expire, they aren’t hidden behind fine print, and they are not dependent on our performance. Hebrews 10:23 reminds us that we can hold tightly to the hope we profess, because the One who made the promise is faithful. His assurance is not rooted in our ability to keep up our end; it is anchored in His unchanging nature.

Think about how different this is, a warranty assumes that something will break and that it can only be repaired under certain conditions. Assurance from God assumes that life will break, but declares that even in the breaking, God’s Word still stands, and His plan will prevail. Warranties cover products, God’s assurance covers people! In many ways, the storms of life remind you that warranties won’t be enough. When Paul’s ship was destroyed in Acts 27, the warranty on that vessel was void. But the assurance of God carried every person on board to land. God had already spoken, “Not one of you will be lost.” That assurance sustained them, even when the structure failed. Likewise, your structure may break, a job, a relationship, a ministry plan, but God’s assurance remains intact and steadfast.

This truth shifts your perspective, and you no longer have to panic when the ship goes down. You no longer have to live in fear that God’s love will expire. Instead, you can rest in the assurance that His promises are eternal. Romans 8:38–39 confirms that nothing, death, life, angels, demons, present, or future, can separate you from His love. His coverage is complete, and His assurance is forever. Assurance also means that when you stumble, God doesn’t void His promise. Proverbs 24:16 reminds us that though the righteous may fall seven times, they rise again. A warranty would have canceled the coverage after too many failures. But God’s assurance says, “Get up, you’re still covered.” That’s the love that God has for you.

This is where the beauty of the hymn “Blessed Assurance” shines. Written by Fanny Crosby in 1873, it became one of the most beloved hymns in Christian history. Though blind since infancy, Crosby wrote over 8,000 hymns, and her spiritual sight was sharper than most. When her friend Phoebe Knapp played a new melody on the piano and asked her what it sounded like, Crosby immediately replied, “Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!” From there, the hymn was born. Her lyrics declare: “Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine! Heir of salvation, purchase of God, Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.” For Crosby, this wasn’t just poetry, it was her reality. She couldn’t see with her natural eyes, but her spirit rested in the assurance that Jesus belonged to her, and she belonged to Him. That assurance was stronger than sight, stronger than circumstance, and stronger than any trial.

The truth of Blessed Assurance still speaks today. Assurance becomes not just a doctrine but a lifestyle of praise. You don’t have to wait until everything is fixed to sing. You don’t wait until all the pieces are in place to praise. You can declare your story and your song in the middle of uncertainty, because your assurance is in Christ, not in your circumstances. Think about warranties again. They expire after a year, two, maybe even five. But God’s assurance is eternal. Psalm 100:5 says, “For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.” Unlike warranties, His promises extend beyond your lifetime, reaching into generations yet to come. This is why the hymn continues: “This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.” When you have assurance, it becomes your story (This is personal). It’s not borrowed, it’s not rented, it’s your own testimony of God’s faithfulness!

Assurance means you can walk through valleys differently. David declared in Psalm 23, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” That is assurance. The valley may still exist, but the fear doesn’t dominate because the Shepherd walks alongside you. It also means you can live with boldness. Hebrews 4:16 invites us to come boldly to the throne of grace because you can be assured of His Mercy and help in your time of need. Warranties give timid confidence; assurance gives bold confidence. So today, let this be your encouragement: no warranty is needed when you have God’s Assurance. His promises never fail, His love never expires, and His coverage never lapses. So, you can live singing, “Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!”

Let’s Pray:

Father, I thank You today that my life rests not in human warranties but in divine assurance. Your Word is my guarantee, Your promises my covering, and Your love my everlasting security. Thank You, Lord, that I don’t have to worry about fine print or expiration dates when it comes to Your covenant. What You have spoken over me is eternal, unshakable, and true from generation to generation. Father, forgive me, Father, for the times I’ve trusted in man-made guarantees more than Your divine Word. Forgive me for doubting Your promises when storms hit, when vessels broke, or when life felt uncertain. Today, I realign my faith with You, the One who is faithful to keep every word. Lord, I confess that sometimes I’ve lived like Your love might run out. But Your Word says nothing can separate me from Your love. I hold on to that assurance today, knowing that even my failures do not disqualify me from Your grace. Help me to walk boldly in this truth. Let me not hesitate to live fully surrendered, knowing that I am always covered by Your mercy. Teach me to cling to Your assurance when fear rises and to rest in Your faithfulness when doubt whispers. Father, I thank You for the witness of Fanny Crosby, who though blind in the natural, saw You with extraordinary clarity in the spirit. May I live with that same kind of vision, a heart fixed on You, a song of assurance always on my lips. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine! Let this be more than a hymn to me, let it be my declaration, my lifestyle, my anchor in every storm. Let it remind me that I am Your heir, born of Your Spirit, washed in Your blood. Lord, let assurance change how I wait. Teach me patience in the process, confidence in the delay, and joy in the waiting. Remind me that assurance isn’t tied to timing but to truth. What You promised, You will perform. Father, strengthen me to praise before I see the breakthrough. Let my testimony be that I worshiped in faith, not in sight. Make me bold to sing my story and my song even when my situation doesn’t yet reflect the outcome. I pray that assurance overflows in my life so that others may see it and be encouraged. May my peace in trials, my joy in waiting, and my hope in hardship point others to You, the Faithful One. Father, make my life a living hymn. Let me be a melody of Your faithfulness and a testimony of Your assurance. May people hear my story and know that You never fail. Cover me with Your eternal promises, Father. Anchor me in Your truth and let me never wander from the assurance of Your Word. Today, I let go of fear, of doubt, and of striving. I embrace the peace that comes from knowing I am held, secured, and covered in You. Thank You, Lord, for being my assurance yesterday, today, and forevermore. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

Nugget: Warranties expire, but God’s assurance is eternal, unshakable, and enough for you.

Blessings…

I do not own the rights to this song.

Good Morning Sunshine! You Called It Crash Landing, But God Calls It, I’m Still Holding You!

Psalm 37:23–24 (KJV) ~ “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand.”

Psalm 37:23–24 is a foundational promise for believers who find themselves stumbling or facing unexpected detours. The Hebrew word for “ordered” means established, fixed, or made secure. In other words, the path of the righteous is not random but divinely structured by God. Even when you fall, or in our analogy, crash, it is not final. God’s hand becomes the safety net that sustains you. The word “upholdeth” means to grasp firmly, to support so one doesn’t collapse. This scripture reassures us that crashes may come, but they don’t cancel God’s control.

Have you ever experienced a flight that didn’t end as planned? Imagine boarding a plane with excitement and expectation. You’ve packed your bags, checked your ticket, and trusted the pilot to get you to your destination. The takeoff is smooth, the sky clear, and everything feels safe. But suddenly, turbulence strikes. The plane shakes, the oxygen masks drop, and panic sets in. Instead of a smooth landing at your expected airport, the plane is forced into an emergency crash landing. Though terrifying, when the wheels hit the ground and the cabin door opens, the passengers step out alive. The landing wasn’t what they expected, but survival became the testimony.

Sometimes life feels like that flight, an emergency landing. Things began well, you took off with hope, you were strapped in with great expectation, believing your prayers, preparation, and obedience would guarantee a smooth ride. But turbulence arrives without warning, unexpected storms shook your faith, a phone call changes everything, a job is lost, a diagnosis comes, or a relationship fractures. Suddenly, what was supposed to be a smooth landing turns into a crash. Yet, just like those passengers walking away alive, God ensures that even in life’s crash landings, you will still stand alive on the other side.

Crash landings often bring fear because they’re out of your control. You love predictable arrivals, smooth schedules, and well-planned paths. But God sometimes allows a crash landing to prove that survival doesn’t depend on the vehicle but on His Hand. Like Paul in Acts 27, the ship broke apart in the storm, but not one life was lost because God had already declared preservation. Sometimes, the very thing you thought would carry you breaks, yet God carries you through. Think of it this way, the airplane wasn’t designed to crash, it was designed to fly. But even in a crash, its structure absorbs some of the impact to preserve life. Likewise, you are designed for purpose, but when life crashes, God Himself absorbs the full impact through His grace. He sustains you so that what should have destroyed you only develops you into His design.

Crash landings also teach humility. They strip away the illusion that you are in control. Just as passengers must trust the pilot during turbulence, you must trust God to guide you through rough seasons. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us: “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” Even when the route changes, the Pilot never loses control. The truth is, some of you wouldn’t pray as fervently, worship as deeply, or cling to God as tightly without the turbulence and crashes. Crashes remind you of your dependence. David said in Psalm 34:18, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Sometimes, the crash creates the closeness! The enemy wants you to believe a crash landing is the end of your story. But God declares it is only the beginning of a new chapter. The broken pieces of the wreckage become the building blocks of testimony. The scarred place becomes the stage for His Glory!

Hope lives in the fact that no crash catches God off guard. He already saw the turbulence. He already knew where you would land. He has already positioned people and provision to meet you when you arrive. The widow in Zarephath (1 Kings 17:9) was already prepared before Elijah’s brook dried up. In the same way, God already has your provision waiting after the crash. Like training wheels on a bike, crash landings remind you that falls are part of the process of learning balance. They hurt, yes, but they teach. The scars on your knees prove not only that you fell, but that you got back up. You may land hard, but you won’t land without hope.

The Bible says in Micah 7:8, “Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise.” That’s the hope of the believer. Crash landings are not the conclusion, they’re a transition. They redirect you into places of destiny that you wouldn’t have chosen otherwise on your own. Remember this, God is still the Pilot. He hasn’t left the cockpit of your life. Every bump, every storm, every unexpected descent is still under His Sovereign control. Nothing catches Him off guard. If you’ve crash-landed recently, be encouraged: you may be shaken, but you are still standing. And if you’re still standing, then your calling is still alive.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank You that even when life crashes, Your hand upholds me. Thank You for reminding me through Your Word that my steps are ordered, and even when I stumble, I will not be cast down, because You are faithful. Lord, I confess that sometimes the turbulence makes me fearful. I panic, I doubt, I question. But today, I surrender the pilot’s seat to You. I acknowledge that You are in control, even when the path feels uncertain. Help me to see the purpose in the crash landings. Open my eyes to the lessons, the growth, and the redirection You are providing. Remind me that brokenness does not mean abandonment, it means preparation. Father, forgive me for the times I confused delay with denial or turbulence with failure. Strengthen my faith so that I cling to You when the ground shakes and my plans collapse. Father, Thank You for being the God who absorbs the impact. Thank You that what should have killed me only built me. Thank You that Your grace has sustained me through wreckage I thought I’d never survive. Father, remind me daily that nothing about me catches You off guard. My life is in Your hands, and there is no safer place to be. I declare that my crash landing is not my conclusion, it is my new beginning. Father, I stand in hope today, knowing that You restore, You redeem, and You realign. I will rise again because You have destined me to live and not die, to declare the works of the Lord. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

Nugget: A crash may shake you, but it cannot stop you, because the Pilot of your life has never lost control.

Good Morning Sunshine! If You Didn’t Know, Now You Know, You Are Completely Covered In The Shadow Of His Wings!

Psalm 91:4 (NIV) “He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”

If you didn’t know before, you know now, you are completely covered under His wings. All week we’ve been building step by step, from God’s provision in hidden places, to the invitation to taste and see His goodness, to learning how to dwell in His presence daily. Yesterday, we were reminded that His presence is not just a place we visit but a place we abide. Today, we go deeper into the truth that His wings are not just symbolic, they are the shelter, safety, and shield of your soul.

Now read this verse again, Psalm 91:4 (NIV) says: “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” This scripture is not poetic exaggeration; it is a divine guarantee. God paints the picture of Himself as a protective parent bird, drawing His young close, shielding them from danger, and ensuring that no threat can overtake them while they are under His covering.

When life feels like arrows are flying from every direction, it is easy to panic, to scatter, and to wonder if God sees you at all. But His promise reminds you, you don’t have to outrun the storm when you are under His wings. You don’t have to know all the answers or carry all the weight when His faithfulness has already built the shield around you.

Let’s think about this, yesterday’s devotion to dwelling in His Presence showed us that His Presence isn’t conditional, it’s always accessible. Today, God is revealing the reason why, His wings represent His Presence made tangible in your life. They are the covering that keeps you safe while the storm rages, the blanket of peace when fear tries to creep in, and the guardrails that keep you from straying too far from His path. Being under His wings doesn’t mean you won’t face adversity. But it does mean adversity cannot consume you. Just as baby chicks are protected under the hen’s feathers, so are you guarded by the faithful arms of the Father. The danger may still exist, but the difference is you are not exposed to it, you are shielded from its power to destroy you.

In yesterday’s devotion, we talked about remaining in His Presence even when the noise of life is overwhelming. Today, God is expanding that by showing you that the very act of abiding is what ensures your protection. To remain under His wings is to refuse to run in fear, to stop quarreling with your Maker, and instead, to yield fully to His care. This is what divine coverage looks like. It is not an insurance plan that kicks in after damage, it is a preventative, sustaining shelter that keeps you steady while others may be collapsing under pressure. His faithfulness doesn’t just repair you after the storm; it guards you in the middle of it.

And here’s the truth you may not have realized until now, you are not partially covered; you are completely covered. There is no gap, no hole, no vulnerable spot left exposed when you are under the wings of God. That’s why the Psalmist could confidently say, “His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” So today, pause and remind yourself, if you didn’t know, you know now. You are completely covered. Yesterday’s devotion was the invitation to dwell in His Presence; today is the revelation that His Presence is also His protection. And when you truly know this, fear has no place, anxiety has no hold, and doubt has no voice.

God’s covering isn’t seasonal, it’s eternal. He doesn’t spread His wings only for a moment and then leave you to figure it out on your own. He covers you day and night, in seasons of abundance and seasons of lack, in moments of strength and moments of weakness. Even when you wander, His wings are extended, calling you back. Even when you fall, His covering is there to cushion and restore. And even when the enemy comes in like a flood, His Spirit raises a standard, His wings become the wall that no evil can penetrate. So today, lean into this truth. Rest in His Presence. Dwell under His wings. Don’t just visit His covering, live in it. You are not partially shielded; you are completely covered.

Let’s Pray:

Father, I thank You for the safety and security I find under Your wings. Today, I choose to rest in Your presence, knowing that You alone are my refuge and fortress. Your faithfulness is my shield, and I declare that nothing formed against me will prosper because I am hidden in You. Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve tried to protect myself by running in fear or fighting battles in my own strength. Teach me how to remain still beneath Your covering. Remind me that Your wings are not just symbolic, they are real, powerful, and constant. I thank You, Father, that no arrow, no storm, no attack can reach me without first passing through the wall of Your faithfulness. What the enemy designs for my harm, You block and turn into testimonies of Your goodness. I rest in that today. Lord, I lift up my anxieties and my fears before You. When my heart trembles at the noise of the world, draw me closer into the shadow of Your wings. Replace fear with peace, weakness with strength, and uncertainty with unshakable trust in You. Thank You for reminding me that I am not partially covered but fully covered. Help me to live with the confidence that comes from knowing I am shielded by Your presence. Remove every lie of the enemy that tries to convince me otherwise. Father, I intercede for those I love, my family, my friends, and my community. Cover them under Your wings. Let them feel Your nearness and know that Your presence is the safest place they can ever dwell. Guard their hearts and shield their steps. Holy Spirit, when I am tempted to step outside of Your covering by pride, rebellion, or fear, convict me quickly. Call me back into the shelter where life, peace, and victory abide. Keep me sensitive to Your voice and responsive to Your direction. Thank You for reminding me that Your protection is not seasonal. You don’t cover me in one season and leave me exposed in another. You are my refuge always, in the daytime and in the midnight hour, in seasons of joy and seasons of sorrow. Today, I declare over my life: I am safe, I am shielded, I am secure because I am under the wings of Almighty God. Fear has no hold, anxiety has no voice, and doubt has no power in my life. Your covering is complete. I close this prayer with gratitude, Father. Thank You for covering me, for keeping me, and for reminding me that even in the storm, Your wings never falter. I love You, I trust You, and I remain under Your wings forever. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

Nugget: You are not partially shielded; you are completely covered under His wings.

Have A Great Weekend…

Good Morning Sunshine! Oh, What Joy It Is To Be Found In The Shelter Of His Wings!

Psalm 17:8 — “Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.”

When you live in the Presence of God, you discover more than fellowship, you discover safety. His Presence does not merely surround you; it shields you. To dwell with Him is to be covered by Him, protected in ways you may never fully see or understand.

Think of a mother bird stretching her wings over fragile chicks. The storm may rage, the predator may lurk, but the chicks are safe because of her covering. This is the very image the psalmist paints when he prays to be hidden in the shadow of God’s wings. God’s wings are not fragile. They are mighty, secure, and eternal. His covering does not weaken under pressure; it holds. His shelter is not temporary; it is steadfast. His shadow is not a place of darkness, but of peace, rest, and divine protection.

Life’s storms often make you question God’s nearness. The winds howl, the waters rise, and fear grips your heart. Yet it is in those very storms that His shelter becomes most evident. He doesn’t promise to remove every storm, but He promises to shield you through them. This hiding place is not about escape; it is about rest. It is about trusting that no matter how fierce the trial, His Presence with you is even greater. His protection is stronger. His love is deeper. And His shelter is personal.

To be the apple of His eye means you are cherished and constantly within His gaze. God sees you, not only what you do, but who you are, what you carry, and even what you fear. You are never overlooked, never forgotten, and never left uncovered. Psalm 91:4 assures you, “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” God’s shelter is both tender and fierce, tender like feathers, fierce like a shield. His Presence embraces while also defending.

Dwelling in His shelter requires you to surrender. Just as the chicks must stay close to their mother’s wings, you must resist the urge to run into independence. Safety is not found in striving, but in staying. Refuge is not found in running, but in resting. Sometimes, you confuse exposure with abandonment. But the truth is, even when you feel exposed, you are still covered. The storms that hit you are always filtered through the wings of your Father. If they reach you, it is only because He knows they will refine, not destroy.

And under His wings, courage rises; for shelter is not meant to paralyze you, but to position you. Once you know you are covered, you can step boldly into your calling. Once you trust His covering, you can live free from fear of what’s ahead. The enemy would love for you to believe that you are uncovered and unprotected, but that is a lie. The covering of God does not flicker in and out, it is constant, steadfast, and eternal. You are shielded day and night. So today, take a deep breath. Imagine yourself running under His wings, resting in His shelter, and rising in His strength. The safest place in the world is not away from the storm but under His wings, for that is where your protection lives.

Let’s Pray:

Father, I thank You that You are my shelter, my covering, and my refuge. You have kept me as the apple of Your eye, and You hide me in the shadow of Your wings. Lord, when storms rage around me, remind me that I am safe in You. Help me to run into Your covering and not away from it. Teach me to rest in trust, not in my own strength or control. Father, forgive me for the times I tried to fight in my own power. Forgive me for the moments I believed the lie that I was unprotected or forgotten. Remind me daily that I am covered by Your feathers and surrounded by Your love. Father, I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, because Your presence shields me. I declare that I am never outside of Your gaze, never away from Your covering, and never apart from Your love. Lord, let Your shelter not only guard me but also empower me. Let me rise in boldness, knowing that my life is protected by the King of Glory. Give me courage to walk into my calling, knowing no storm can destroy me. Father, when fear whispers that I am vulnerable, let Your Word flood my ear gates and remind me that I am shielded. When doubt tries to creep in, let Your presence overwhelm me with peace. Thank You for being both tender and strong, Lord. Thank You that Your wings comfort me like feathers but defend me like a shield. I rest in both Your embrace and Your Might. Father, cover my mind, my body, my spirit, my family, and my future under Your wings. Protect me from what I cannot see. Keep me from what I do not know. Guard me from the schemes of the enemy. May Your shelter not make me timid, but bold. Let me live with holy confidence, knowing I am covered by the God of heaven. May my life testify that safety is not found in my surroundings but in my Savior. Lord, I rest under Your shadow and rise with Your strength. I dwell under Your wings and walk in Your courage. Thank You for covering me, protecting me, and empowering me to face every storm with unshakable faith. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Nugget: “Covered by His wings, you can rest in peace and rise in power.”

Good Morning Sunshine! You Are Dwelling in His Presence!

Psalm 91:1 (NKJV) – “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Yesterday, you feasted on the truth of Psalm 34:8, learning to taste and see the goodness of God. But the Spirit does not stop with tasting, He calls you to dwell. Tasting is an entry point; dwelling is a lifestyle. It is one thing to have a moment in His Presence, but it is another to make His Presence your permanent address.

Dwelling means staying, abiding, and resting. It is more than an occasional visit or a Sunday morning experience. To dwell in God’s Presence is to make Him your home. David, who knew both palaces and caves, discovered that the safest and sweetest dwelling place was always the shadow of the Almighty.

The secret place of God is not hidden from you but hidden for you. It is a place of intimacy where distractions fade, fears are calmed, and hearts are stilled. You don’t stumble into this place by accident, it is entered by choice, by desire, and by surrender. Think of the difference between visiting a friend’s house and living in your own home. When you visit, you’re a guest, careful and mindful of boundaries. But when you live there, you rest, settle in, and breathe with ease. God does not want you to remain a guest in His Presence; He desires you to dwell, to settle, and to live fully at home with Him.

The shadow of the Almighty is not a dark place but a covering place. Shadows follow you wherever you go, and in the same way, God’s shadow covers those who choose to abide. It is protection, peace, and promise all wrapped into one. When you choose to dwell, you choose stability. Life will still bring storms, but your dwelling is not shaken by shifting winds. Your stability is anchored not in circumstances but in the unchanging Presence of God. Dwelling also means prioritizing. You make time for what matters most, and if God’s Presence is truly our home, then it becomes the center of our schedules, our decisions, and our daily rhythms.

In the hidden place of His Presence, strength is renewed. Fear loses its grip. Doubt melts into trust. Like Elijah by the brook, like David in the caves, like Jesus withdrawing to pray, you discover that the secret place is not an escape from reality but the empowerment to face it. This is the progression God has been leading you through: from jars and jugs, to tasting His goodness, to now choosing to dwell. He has been preparing us not just to experience Him in moments but to abide in Him continually. Jesus said in John 15:4, “Abide in me, and I in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in me.” Dwelling produces fruit. It transforms survival into overflow, tasting into transformation, and Presence into power.

The invitation today is not just to stop by His Presence but to stay. Make His Presence your permanent home. Don’t just visit the shadow of the Almighty, abide there. In doing so, you’ll discover peace that surpasses understanding, joy that outlasts trials, and strength that carries you through every storm.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank You for calling me deeper into Your Presence. Thank You for inviting me not just to taste but to dwell, not just to encounter but to abide. Lord, I repent for the times I treated Your Presence as a quick visit instead of a permanent home. Forgive me for rushing in and out when You longed for me to stay. I ask that You teach me to make Your Presence my dwelling place. Let me abide under the shadow of Your wings, where I find safety, peace, and rest. Lord, I declare today that Your Presence is my home. I will not be a guest; I will be a dweller. I will stay, rest, and abide in the secret place of the Most High. Father, strengthen me to prioritize time with You. Remove distractions that keep me from seeking You daily. Teach me to walk in constant awareness of Your nearness. Thank You that Your shadow covers me wherever I go. Thank You that Your Presence protects me from dangers seen and unseen. Thank You that I can rest secure in You. Lord, let Your Presence transform me. Let abiding in You produce fruit in my life, love, peace, patience, and power. Let others see the evidence of dwelling with You. Father, I yield myself fully to You. Let me not move ahead of You, nor lag behind, but remain in step with Your Spirit. May Your Presence guide my every step. Thank You for this dwelling place, Lord. Thank You that You have made me welcome in Your secret place. May I never take this invitation lightly. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

Nugget: “Don’t just visit His Presence, make it your home.”

Good Morning Sunshine! Thank You God For My Tastebuds!

Psalm 34:8 (NIV) – “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.”

The table of God’s provision is never meant to end at survival; it leads you to the banquet of His Presence. Yesterday, you stood with Elijah and the widow, witnessing the miracle of jars and jugs that never ran dry. That miracle pointed you forward, but today, the Spirit invites you deeper, into a more intimate encounter with God Himself. Psalm 34:8 is not simply an invitation to observe; it is a call to experience God in a personal, undeniable way.

Think about your taste buds for a moment. These tiny, unseen receptors play a huge role in how you experience food. They help you know what is sweet, sour, salty, or bitter. Without them, food would simply fill your stomach but never bring delight. They help you enjoy what is good; and warn you when something is off. In the same way, God has given you spiritual “taste buds.” Just as physical taste buds awaken your senses to enjoy food, spiritual taste awakens your soul to enjoy God’s Presence. When the psalmist says, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8), this is an invitation to go beyond knowing about God to experiencing Him fully. Like taste buds that tell you when something is sweet or bitter touches your tongue, the Spirit of God alerts your heart to what is nourishing and what is harmful. Every time you lean into His Presence, your spiritual taste grows sharper. And just as a good meal satisfies hunger, so the goodness of God satisfies your soul.

Now you should see taste in a different light, oh to taste and see is to move beyond knowledge into an encounter. Knowledge says, “I believe God is good.” Encounter says, “I have experienced His goodness for myself.” The difference is profound. Provision may point you to Him, but His Presence allows you to taste the richness of who He is. David penned these words in a season where he had fled danger, hidden in caves, and lived on the run. His proclamation was not birth in comfort but in chaos. And yet, from a place of hiding, he declared, “Oh, taste and see.” The goodness of God is not confined to seasons of plenty; it is revealed most deeply in times of need.

Taste is personal. No one can taste for you. You may hear testimonies of God’s goodness, but until you taste Him for yourself, the experience remains secondhand. David wanted his readers to encounter God personally, to savor His Presence like bread on the tongue, sweet and sustaining. Seeing flows from tasting. When you taste His goodness, your spiritual eyes open to see His hand at work. Suddenly, the oil that hasn’t run dry is not just a resource, it’s a revelation. The prayer He answered is not just a solution; it’s a sign of His nearness. The provision becomes proof of His Presence!

When David says, “Blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him,” he points you to the true result of tasting God’s goodness and security in His Presence. Refuge means more than a hiding place; it is safety, shelter, and peace. To take refuge in Him is to say, “God is my portion, my protector, and my provider.” This verse is the bridge between the jars and jugs that sustained you yesterday. Today, God says, “I am your portion. I am the bread you taste. I am the living water you drink. I am your covering.” The miracle has shifted from what you have to who you have, and you have God!

Think of it like being invited to a feast. You can admire the table, see the spread, and even acknowledge how beautiful it looks. But until you sit down, pick up the bread, and taste it, you haven’t truly experienced the feast. God is inviting you today not just to admire Him from a distance but to taste His goodness up close. The invitation to taste and see is also an invitation to trust. You cannot taste without opening your mouth. You cannot see without opening your eyes. Trust opens you up to experience God’s Presence in ways you have never known before.

Maybe you’ve been content with surviving on yesterday’s miracle, holding tight to jars and jugs. But today, the Spirit is saying, “Come taste. Come see. Come into My Presence.” What sustained you yesterday was meant to prepare you for a deeper revelation for today. God is calling you to shift from gratitude for provision to delight in His Presence. Provision fills you for a moment; but His Presence satisfies you forever. Provision quiets your hunger temporarily; but His Presence is the bread of life that never leaves you empty! This is why Jesus said in John 6:35, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” The jars and jugs were a shadow; Jesus is the substance. The widow fed Elijah, but God feeds you with Himself.

Today, let Psalm 34:8 be your prayer and your proclamation. Don’t just admire the feast. Taste it! Don’t just acknowledge God’s goodness. Experience it! Open your heart to His Presence and discover that He is better than bread, better than oil, better than any provision you have or can get! He is your refuge, your portion, and your satisfaction. And in that you will be full!

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank You for inviting me to taste and see that You are good. Thank You for moving me from jars and jugs into Your very Presence, where I can encounter You in a deeper way. Lord, I confess that sometimes I’ve been content just to admire Your goodness from a distance, hearing about it through others but not fully experiencing it for myself. Today, I open my heart to taste, to see, and to know You personally. I thank You for every provision that has sustained me, but I declare today that I will not stop at provision. I long for Your Presence, for You are my bread of life and my living water. Father, just as You were with David in the caves and Elijah at the widow’s house, be with me in every hidden place. Let me encounter You not just in abundance but in the midst of lack, not just in comfort but in the middle of challenges. Teach me to trust You enough to open my mouth and taste, to open my eyes and see. Remove every fear, every doubt, every hesitation that keeps me from fully stepping into Your Presence. Thank You, Lord, that Your goodness is not confined to one season. It is unchanging, constant, and everlasting. When I taste of You, I taste of eternity. When I see You, I see beyond my circumstances into the glory of who You are. Father, I take refuge in You today, Lord. I declare that You are my shelter, my covering, my protector, and my provider. I do not run to resources for refuge; I run to You. You are my safety and my strength. Father, let this week be marked not just by provision but by Your Presence. Let me encounter You in my prayers, in my worship, in my daily steps. Let every part of my life be flavored by the sweetness of Your Presence. Thank You, Lord, for inviting me to Your table. Thank You for the blessing of tasting Your goodness and seeing Your faithfulness. May I never settle for anything less than You. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Jars & Jugs Is Your Sign That You Have Moved From Survival To Overflow!

1 Kings 17:15–16 (NIV) – “So she went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.”

Today’s devotional is the bridge connection from last week. Last week was about God’s provision, your obedience, and the hidden places, droughts, and overflow. This week, the theme will shift from provision to His Presence, reminding you that even greater than what God provides for you, is that this is who He is! The story of Elijah and the widow at Zarephath is to remind you of the faithfulness of God’s provision. Last week, you leaned deeply into the truth that when God hides you in a place of drought, He has already prepared a way of provision in the hidden spaces. The brook and the ravens taught you obedience, the jar and the jug is showing you God’s overflow.

But today, as you move into this new week, the Spirit is calling you to see that provision is not the end, it is the bridge that leads you into His Presence. Elijah obeyed God’s word to go to Zarephath, and the widow obeyed Elijah’s instruction to feed him first. That act of faith was not simply about food, but was about aligning with the Presence of God, who sustains life itself. Her jar and jug never ran dry because she encountered the God of abundance. Provision was the evidence, but His Presence was the true miracle. Often, when you think about survival, you measure it by what you have, what’s left in the jar, what’s still in the jug, how much resource there is around us. But the Word here shows you that survival is not the absence of need; it is about the Presence of God sustaining you in the need. That transition, from focusing on what you see to focusing on the God who sees you, is what turns survival into overflow.

Last week, your heart may have been in the hidden place, leaning on God’s daily bread to keep you through. And it was there you learned that obedience is the doorway to overflow. This week, the Lord is saying, “Do not stop at the provision. Come into My Presence, because I Myself am the bread of life.” The widow did not just feed Elijah; she became a participant in God’s miracle. Her household experienced daily evidence that God was with them. The oil and the flour did not run dry, not because of her own hand but because of God’s sustaining Presence. When God steps in, what looks empty keeps pouring, what looks finished keeps flowing.

From survival to overflow is not just about more resources, it is about a deeper revelation. The jar and jug could have filled once and that alone would have been miraculous. But the overflow was continuous because it was meant to point her eyes not to the resource, but to the Source! God does not want you to just taste His provision; He wants you to taste and see His Presence. This is why Psalm 34:8 says, “Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.” It’s not just about provision; it’s about experiencing Him. His goodness is not limited to what He gives; His goodness is who He is. The miracle of provision is always meant to lead you to the miracle of His Presence.

If you only stop at the provision, you will keep looking for the next jar and the next jug. But when you step into His Presence, you discover that He Himself is your sustainer. He is the Living Water, the Bread of Life, the true Oil that never runs dry. Provision points us forward, but Presence anchors us forever. The widow’s story is your story. God moves you from moments of desperation into testimonies of abundance, but then He draws you deeper, into Himself. This is the bridge into your new week; God wants you to know that greater than His gifts is His Glory, greater than His provision is His Presence.

Maybe last week you were praying for God to meet your need. This week, He is inviting you into a higher prayer: “Lord, let me dwell in Your Presence. Let me see You beyond what You do for me.” That prayer will take you beyond jars and jugs into the joy of His Presence. The bridge between survival and overflow is the recognition that God is with you. And when God is with you, no jar will ever be truly empty, and no jug will ever truly run dry. The supply may look small, but His Presence is infinite.

This week, step into His Presence, and let the story of Elijah and the widow remind you that your testimony is not just in what you have received, but in who you are walking with. From survival to overflow, the true blessing is not just that your needs are met but that the God of Heaven is dwelling with you. Let this bridge carry you into a deeper hunger for Him. From provision to Presence, from jars and jugs to tasting and seeing that the Lord is good, God is leading you into more than enough, not because of what He gives but because of who He is.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank You for the reminder that You are not only the God who provides but the God who is present. Thank You for carrying me through the hidden places of drought and overflow, teaching me obedience, faith, and trust. Lord, I confess that too often I focus on the jar and the jug, on what I see in my hands, instead of lifting my eyes to see You. Teach me this week to look beyond the provision to Your Presence, for You are the true sustainer of my life. I thank You for every season of survival, for in those seasons I learned dependence. I thank You for every season of overflow, for in those moments I learned Your abundance. But now, Lord, teach me to rest in You, the Giver, the Source, the One who never runs dry. Father, just as You sustained Elijah and the widow, sustain me daily by Your Presence. Let me hunger not only for bread but for every word that proceeds from Your mouth. Let me thirst not only for water but for the Living Water that satisfies my soul. Father, I ask that You shift my perspective from survival to overflow, from what I can count in my jar to the immeasurable riches of Your glory. Let me recognize that You are with me, and that is my true treasure. Lord, I thank You that Your Presence is enough to fill every empty place in me. Even when resources look small, remind me that You are infinite, and in You, I will never lack. Teach me to taste and see Your goodness this week, not just in what You provide but in who You are. Let my testimony be that I encountered the Living God, and that His Presence became my portion. I pray that this week my steps will be guided not by fear of lack but by faith in Your Presence. May I carry Your peace, Your joy, and Your strength into every space I enter. Father, align my heart with Yours so that provision will always point me back to Presence. Let me never idolize the gift over the Giver, but always recognize that every good and perfect gift comes from You. Thank You, Lord, for being more than enough. Thank You for jars that never run out, jugs that never go empty, and a Presence that never departs. May I walk this week in the fullness of Your Presence, tasting and seeing that You are good. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! God Prepared You In Your Hidden Place, For Your Next Place!

1 Kings 17:4 (NIV) ~ “You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”

1 Kings 17:7–9 (NIV) ~ “Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the LORD came to him: ‘Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.’”

Every season in Elijah’s life was intentional. His time at the brook was not wasted; it was preparation. God was teaching him to obey quickly, trust unusual provision, and remain faithful in hidden seasons. The hidden place is where God strips away distractions and draws you into dependence on Him. Elijah’s survival didn’t depend on his own resources; it depended on God’s voice and timing.

On Day 1, you saw how quick obedience opened the door to provision. On Day 2, you learned that God uses unlikely sources to bless you. On Day 3, you recognized that location matters. On Day 4, you learned how to trust God in drought. Now today, you see how God transitions you from one provision to another. The brook provided water during the drought, but eventually, it dried up. This was not failure, it was timing. God allowed the brook to dry to move Elijah forward. God is so specific and strategic when it comes to you, He won’t let you stay where you are at!

Sometimes you might think a dried-up brook means God has abandoned you, but often it means God has prepared something new and if He didn’t dry up the place that you were in, you would never move or launch out into the deep! What ended was only making room for what was next. Notice the sequence: the brook dried, then the Word of the Lord came. God didn’t leave Elijah without direction; He immediately revealed the next assignment.

The widow woman was already in place before Elijah left the brook. God had spoken to her, even if she didn’t fully understand what was coming. Provision was prepared before Elijah even arrived. This is to remind you that while one door is closing, God is already opening another. What looks like an ending to you is often a bridge into His next miracle.

The hidden place trained Elijah to depend on God daily so that he would trust Him in the next place. Without the brook, Elijah might not have had the faith to believe for the widow’s endless jar of oil and flour. Hidden seasons are there to prepare you for your greater assignments. They build endurance, refine character, and develop the trust that you will need when God elevates you to bigger battles.

Psalm 84:11 is a great reminder for you: “The LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” If the brook dries up, it’s because God has something better waiting! God doesn’t just prepare a place; He prepares people. Just as He commanded ravens, He also commanded a widow. Provision is never random; it is always orchestrated by His Hand. The hidden place is also there to remind you that transitions are part of the journey. You are not meant to stay in one brook forever; God moves you from season to season and level to level and faith to faith and it is all for His Glory and your good!

Trusting God means not clinging to yesterday’s brook when He is calling you to today’s Zarephath. Some of you are grieving dry brooks when God is pointing you towards new widows, new assignments, new opportunities, new provision. It is time to let go and move on. The God of the brook is also the God of the widow’s house. He is consistent in every season. Elijah’s story assures you that provision doesn’t stop when seasons shift. God simply changes the method while keeping His promise intact. As you step into a new week, remember this, God’s provision is already waiting for you. The brook may dry up, but the widow is already in place!

Let’s Pray:

Father, I thank You for hidden places where You train and prepare me for what’s next. Father, teach me to trust You when the brook dries up, knowing You have already prepared another source. Father, thank You that Your provision is always ahead of me, waiting in the place You have called me to go. Father, forgive me for clinging to old seasons when You are trying to move me into new ones. Remind me that a dried-up brook is not abandonment; it is transition. Father, strengthen me with faith to leave what is comfortable and step into what is next. Open my eyes to see the “widows” You have already appointed to sustain me. Father, align my steps with Your perfect timing so I will not miss what You have ordained. Teach me to carry the lessons of the hidden place into the next season of my life. Father, prepare my heart for transitions so I move with peace instead of fear. Help me to trust that You are always at work, even when resources run dry. Father, let me be a vessel like the widow, willing to provide for others even in my lack. Thank You Father, that You are the God of both the brook and the widow’s house. I declare that I will not mourn the brook, but rejoice in the new provision You have prepared for me. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

Nugget:“When the brook dries up, the widow is already in place, God’s provision is always ahead of you.”

Blessings, Have A Great Weekend…
