Good Morning Obedient One!

Hebrews 5:8 NKJ ~ “though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.”

Have you ever been preparing to go somewhere and you thought that you had packed everything that you needed only to leave home and be missing the most important thing and you can’t go back and get it, because you are already late and you have to be there on time? What do you do, you suffer in silence, knowing that you will be okay even though it hurts, but you become quiet and obedient, and you sit there and not argue or fuss, you don’t even try to negotiate or reason it out, you have just learned how to be obedient in your suffering!

Jesus Christ never sinned, He exposed Himself to weakness and was obedient in His suffering to show you how to live like Him and not sin! You do know that it is possible to learn obedience through your suffering without sinning being the result of your suffering! Sometimes a thing can come into your life, and you will be wondering what happened and how did you get here? And sometimes you may not have done anything, but God wants you to learn a lesson so that you can have a testimony to share with someone else!

Have you felt the calling and pulling of God lately, He wants to lead you to something new, and He already knows the outcome and whether you will be obedient or not! If Jesus, who was a perfect being, who never sinned had to learn a lesson, then you know that you who was born into this sinful nation must learn a lesson too! In your suffering, you will learn how to live an obedient life! You will learn to trust in the goodness and the love of God, you will learn how to trust Him in all things, not just the good, but in the bad you will trust in Him! Do you want me to tell you how I know this, His Word says it, Romans 8:28, “He works all things out for your good, when you love Him, and He does it on purpose!” Bad things do happen, but they are included in the “all things” God will work it out for our good and His Glory!

Today, you have two paths to choose from to walk you can obey or disobey. What path will you choose? God is offering you an opportunity of a lifetime and it’s simple, obey Him and do as He says and He will be your God and guide; or you can choose to refuse Him again and continue to go your own way, it’s up to you! However, obedience to your Heavenly Father, leads to blessing from your Heavenly Father and the favor of the Lord will be upon your life!

Let’s Pray:
Father, I Thank You that I am Your child, and as Your child I choose to follow Your leading and instructions, today and every day. Please strengthen me that I may obey Your Word daily for the rest of my life. Father, I know that You already know what will happen next in my life, so today I choose to follow to You and be obedient to what You say, I will not try to negotiate with You, I know that You know best! I am Yours and You are my Father! I know that all of my blessings are through You and my obedience! In Jesus Christ Mighty Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! You’ve Been Broken on Purpose, it’s for your Blessings!

John 12:24-25 NKJ ~ “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. [25] He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”

Your Blessings is in your Brokenness! This is what God uses to remove you from you that your desires will align with His desires for your life! At the end of your brokenness is a blessing that is far greater than you could have ever discover apart from being broken. It’s here that you grow spiritually, it’s the place where you learn how to enjoy your intimate times with God! This is where your power becomes ignited!

On last Friday morning a figurine that I had for over 35 years was knocked off the bookshelf and it broke. Now prior to that I had not looked at it or dusted it in a long time, it was very dusty and the paint had started to chip, but I was okay because I knew where it was. But when it broke I felt so sad, then I thought how I had neglected it  for all of this years and now after it was broken I was concerned! This is what happens to us, we are broken and we go along to get along until that one thing happens and everything comes flooding back to your remembrance! Don’t be discouraged, you don’t have to became a hostage to your own sadness. It’s for this reason that God breaks you, it’s not to cause you pain, it’s to chip away anything that keeps you from finding your true life in Him because He loves you! God broke you to bless you!

God is going to bless you in your brokenness, you will be put back together, God is your Master crafter and builder and He is targeting the areas of your life that you have been unwilling to submit to Him. He knows exactly what you need to be able to function, you will be brand new! Therefore, God selects the tools it takes to break your self sufficiency mode and turn to Him. When you give up your independence, you gain a new perspective of God’s plan and purpose for your lives.

Thank God for breaking you so that He could bless you! I truly want each one of you to have the life that our Father desires for you, you no longer have to settle for counterfeits, you can experience the real thing, Jesus the Christ is waiting on you to die to yourself that you may live because Ge planted a new seed in you and it can’t grow until you release control!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father, thank You for taking care of me! Father, help me die to the desires of this world and my selfishness that I might find the life You created for me. Father, help me to hold nothing back when it comes to obeying Your will and give me the grace to submit to Your pruning, Your way! Father, I pray that I’m obedient and not distracted by what You move out of my life to make room for what You have for my life. Father, give me the endurance to complete the pruning process that my life will produce fruit that blesses others and honors You. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Hello Sunshine! Who Do You Really Love?

John 13:34-35 KJV ~ “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. [35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

How do you love others? We use people and we love our stuff! We live in a culture that places more value and emphasis on things rather than people. You can be speaking with a person in a certain tone and then you hear their titles or about their possessions and we change our tone to fit them!

But what about what God said, you are to love your neighbor as yourself, one neighbor may have a lot and the may not have anything, but you shouldn’t treat one better than the other, they are both your neighbors! Love one another and stop using each other!

I saved this post that I saw many years ago about love and I wanted to share it with you! “Do you know what the relationship between your two eyes is? They both blink together, move together, cry together, see things together and sleep together and even though they never see each other, they both love the same way! Loving your family and friends should be just like that!”(author unknown).

Love will cause you to watch out for something’s in you! You need to watch your thoughts, for they become your words; watch your words, for they become your actions; watch your actions, for they become your habits; watch your habits, for they become your character;  way your character, for it becomes your destiny!

How God  demonstrated His love for you, was at the ultimate personal cost, He gave His one and only Son for you, just because He loved you! Do you really understand what He gave to you? God loves you! Let me ask you a question today, and I’m sure I’ve asked you before, but I’m doing it again because I want you to really think about it, who do you love? What sacrifices have you made on behalf of someone else just because of love?

The greatest declaration message in the Bible, is the greatest gift that you will ever receive! Love! God loves you and He sacrificed His life, so that you could have life, that’s love! God loves you! Never ever doubt His love for you and don’t let anyone or anything rob you of giving or receiving this life-giving truth. God loves you!

Let’s Pray:
Father, I thank You for giving Your darling son Jesus Christ to save me, Thank You for saving me from my sins and giving me life. Please forgive me for the moments that my life did not reflect Your love. I repent right now for every time that I took Your love for granted. Today I fully accept Your love and I’m loving You back. Father, I thank You and praise You with all of my heart. Give me the strength to trust and believe what You say about me is true, I place all my trust in You and Your love. Father let Your love transform me right now and let the redemptive work of Your hand continue to be upon me. Thank You Father that You are making me better with each moment that You are giving me right now in Jesus Christ Mighty Name I pray. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Who Are You Serving Today?

Joshua 24:14-15 NKJV ~ “Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD! 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

So many of you quote this scripture, the very last line, Joshua 24:15, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” this one line and then you live the opposite of what else it says! But in order to understand that, you need to read verse 14 and all of 15 so that you have a greater understanding of what the Word is saying to you! God has told you time and time again that you are not to have any God’s before Him, He’s a jealous God and He will not share His Glory with anyone else!

You must worship Him in spirit and in truth! To worship the Lord you must approach Him with reverence and fear. Not fear in you are scared of Him, but in awe, and submission to Him! You must be truthful and sincere when you come to Him. What is sincerity? It is the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy. How many times have you prayed to God, and asked Him to remove deceit, and hypocrisy from you to create in you a clean heart and to remove anything that is not like Him from your life?

You must come to him in truth, you cannot come talking about what anyone else has done, it’s all about you, Jesus told you to remove the plank from your own eye before you try to remove something from someone’s eye. Can you just focus on removing deceit from yourself, stop pretending, you go to church smiling and broken pretending like everything is good and you need deliverance and healing yourself while you are talking about what others need! This is a dangerous place for you to be in. As a Christian you live in this world that teaches you how to love and live for yourself, this is a direct opposite of what and how the Bible teaches you to live! So, you must put aside what you see and believe in what you cannot see which is the definition of faith!

You must get rid of everything else that you worship, career, money, jobs, spouses, friends, power, entertainment, and cars, and anything else that you love to worship, you must rid yourself of everything that stands between you and what God says, because anything that you place between you and God has become an idol! Don’t be like your fathers before you! If you are not sure of what’s standing between you and God ask Him to reveal it to you and then repent and ask Him to remove it! Just a note, He won’t remove anything that you are not willing to release, you can’t be holding on to it and asking Him to remove it at the same time! Release, Let Go and Let God!

You must choose everyday to follow Christ. You need to live a life of Luke 9:23, “Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Pray to God daily for discernment and test all things in your life against the Word of God and The Holy Spirit. Today, chose Him, seek Him with all your heart, mind, and strength, being submitted to His will then you can say, “As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord.”

Let’s Pray:
Father, thank You! Thank You for making all things new. Thank You for being the God of more than enough! Father, forgive me for putting other things and people before You, I repent right now! Starting now, I thank You that You have removed everything that stands between me and You, I am totally releasing it. I want to live a holy and righteous life that You called me too! Father, You are my focus and I will move forward with the firm knowledge that You alone is my Father and I find all of my joy and strength in You! Father, You are my shepherd, my sole source of covering and protection. Everything that I need is found in You and I’m in awe of You, and I will worship You and only You! Father, I thank You for moving in my life today! I know that You love me and I love You Father and as for me and my house we will praise, worship, and serve You all the days of our lives! In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Abounding One!

1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV ~ “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

I’ll start today off with yesterday’s question, What are you going to do with your life today? What is standing between you and God? You do know that you are a force to be reckoned with! Don’t you? Do you know that you are somebody’s answer today! So, put what you have to the side and focus on God and what He desires!

Do you realize that you are to be steadfast and immovable every day, and you are to work unto the Lord daily. Don’t let nothing or nobody move you! And everything that you do, do it in love, love for your Father that runs over everything that you touch! When you do this sincerely, you are working and serving the Most High God and nothing that you do will be in vain, because you have done everything for Him and His Glory!

In the midst of what you have going on, God is calling you to your next new place and He will not stop challenges from bombarding or coming against you, they are preparing you for what’s coming next! He already warned you in advance that you would experience “tribulations and trials” in this world (John 16:33), so why are you so surprised when you encountered this stuff! You have to remember that every time God allows you to face a challenge, it’s because He has a divine purpose for it, and He knows that you will profit from it! Remember, nothing that you went through will be wasted, all of it will be used for His purpose, Romans 8:28!

You are anointed, appointed and ordained for goodness and greatness! You are a prayer warrior! You carry the Fruit of the Spirit on the inside of you and it filters through to your outside! You are fruit and you will be fruitful! And you will dwell wherever God leads you today! Start training yourself how to not be comfortable in temporary places, anything not sanctioned by God for you will not last, just serve in the present purpose that God has led you too and move on for Christ Jesus, Himself will complete you and make you what you ought to be, sealed, secured, settled and strengthened! This is God’s promise to you as His devoted child, that He is constantly working on your behalf and He is perfecting that thing that concerns you so that you can fulfill the plans, purposes and promises of God!

You have been called to go higher and higher with God, you are His, now and forever more! You have a secure place in His eternal Glory, under the Anointing of God, you are covered by the Holy Ghost! Today, deny your flesh, that you may be strong spiritually, physically and emotionally! Pray and bind every hindering spirit that is not of God in your life, lay prostrate, get your heart in the right posture and position before Him in worship for this is your place of refuge and abound in His love!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You! Father, help me to keep in my mind and spirit that when I face trials that You already knew about it. Father, help me to see everything through your perspective, instead of mines and the world’s view. Father, I repent right now for going to others first instead of coming to You! Father, I want more of You today, no more procrastinating, I am going to do what You put me here to do! Father, create in me a clean heart and renew Your right Spirit in me continuously! Father, teach me how to respond to every trial with a Christlike attitude, so that I can reap the benefits You have for me, and show You that I’m trusting You totally so that I can avoid unnecessary pain. Father, thank You for transforming me into a powerful force for Your Glory and my good. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Covered One!

Genesis 28:15 NKJ ~ “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

There are so many ways that God is at work in your life every day that goes unseen, unnoticed, and taken for granted. But God, God at work! I know that sometimes things seem detrimental to you, but it is God protecting you, drawing you closer to Him, teaching you how to be dependent on Him, and protecting you from that thing can’t see yet.

Today, you are being led by your Gracious Father and He is giving you exactly what you need today, even though you may not fully understand it the right now, but it will work out for your good. Just remember Proverbs 3:5-6, don’t lean on your understanding, but trust and acknowledge Him in all His ways! I want to tell you something, the greatest blessings in your life today is because of who God is, and not because of who you are!

There is a quote by Ernest Hemingway way that speaks a profound truth, “Today is only one day in all the days that will ever be. But what will happen in all the other days that ever come can depend on what you do today.” It means that everything that is happening right now in your present is connected to some cause that has happened to you in the past. And when you take that truth and you focus on it, it can make for a great introduction for your testimony, you can tell somebody about what the Lord has done for you! So, what are you doing with this day?

See, it’s one thing to have a blessing extended to you and it’s another thing to have God speak a blessing straight to your face! You see when it comes to the road that God has set before you, it’s truly a blessing because God knows exactly what you need! God is able to work through any circumstances that you face! He can handle it. You know that you are to cast all your cares on God, right, Matthew 11:28-30! God can handle whatever it is you’re dealing with. Pray this prayer with me, “Father, I don’t know exactly what you’re doing,  but I know that you love me,  and I know you’re Sovereign,  and I know you can handle this.” Can you see what God is doing here, it’s not about you, it’s all about God and what kind of God He is! He’s a faithful God!

God is working while you are sleeping! Jacob had to learn some tough lessons, so that he could mature and be prepared for what God was getting ready to do in and through his life.  And just like God directed the path, plan and purpose for Jacob and brought him back to the land of promise, He is doing in your life too every day! You see you serve The God who is faithful, and He knows what you need better than you do! You may not know but He does, and He can handle it! You have to make this personal, (put your name here and say, “Jean, God Can Handle It”)! You do know that God knows what He’s doing and that He doesn’t make any mistakes! It’s so important for you to see what God is doing in your life, it’s less about you, and more about God, it’s His path, plan and purpose, and process, yes, He is that kind of God! Today, take some time to Thank Him and to Praise Him for always being with you and look for the unexpected blessings in disguise, and as my friend said in prayer last night, “be on the lookout for the the blessings that come out of the blue to you!” For what God spoke out of His mouth will come to full Manifestation in your life, for His Glory!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You for blessing me with a brand new day! I will bless Your Holy and Righteous Name! Father, this morning I confess that I need your help in my life. There are somethings that are to heavy for me to bear, and for some of them, I just don’t know what to do. So, Father it’s in this moment that I will draw neigh to You and Your Word, for I know that I will find my way through You. Father, I really need to hear a Word from You today, speak to me. Father, teach me Your Ways and lead me into all of Your truths! Father, Thank You for Your Mercy and Grace in my past and  Thank You for Your Mercy and Grace  that will come to me in my future and Thank You for Your Mercy and Grace  that You are giving me right now. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Praying One!

Philippians 1:19-20 NKJ “For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, [20] according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. [21] For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

The Spirit of Jesus Christ will help you to live for Him in every way, every day. You can be certain and confident that the power of the Holy Spirit will lead you to your deliverance, be it  through life or through death! Either way it goes, life or death it’s Jesus Christ for me!

The Holy Spirit gives you boldness for what you need for the day to day hustle and bustle that you face. Honoring Jesus Christ should be your daily focus in everything that you do, honor Him with the life he has given you. Again, I say your life should honor Him!!!

Let’s Pray:
Father, thank You for Your gift of the Holy Spirit and the certainty of promises that You will always protect me from the  things that challenge me in our daily journey called life.  But, because of what You did for me on Calvary Hill, I know that I know, that I have full assurance that the Your presence and Holy Spirit lives within me. Father, I pray today for my brothers and sisters in Christ that are around the world, I pray that they may come to experience You in a new way and out of Your glorious riches and that You strengthen them and me through the power of Your Holy Spirit and that our lives bring honor to You, whether we live or die, if we are in You, it will be for our good and gain and bring Glory to Your Holy Name. In the Name Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Confident One!

Jeremiah 17:7 NKJ ~ “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD.”

The call for today is for you to put all of your faith and trust in God for He is your shelter in the time of storm, a very present help in the time of trouble and your refuge and strength in times of weakness! You can believe this Word!

This scripture speaks of two types of people? One that trust in human beings or the One who trust in the Lord? Which one are you?

The people of Judah trusted in false gods and other alliances instead of in God; and because of their choices they were small, insignificant and unfruitful. When you trust in anything other than God, you will be malnourished and spiritually and physically weak in your time of trouble, you will not have any strength to draw on.

But those of you that trusted in the Lord will grow and flourished like the trees planted by the rivers of water (see Psalm 1). You will have an abundance of strength and not only will you be able to take care of your needs, but you will have enough strength to help somebody else!

So, are  you living in an unfruitful drought, or are like a well-watered tree that has strength? Trusting God means that you have accepted His blessing on you and you have asked Him to to help you to bear fruit and be fruitful! Can’t you see that It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man any day (Psalm 118:8). In every scripture in the Bible you can see where you had to put your Trust in God and not lean to your own understanding, because it will lead you wrong, (Proverbs 3:5-6). You have got to acknowledge God in all your ways so that He can direct your path! You want the truth, seek for your safety and security in God!

Trusting God does not mean that you are in denial of truth or your tests and trials, but you trust and praise Him because of this, knowing that He is in control! You praise Him differently despite this, as my friend said yesterday in prayer, “In Spite Of…”, I’m going to trust God! So, get a “In Spite Of”, praise on and place that test and trial before God and see what your testimony will be, (you will have a testimony, trust and believe that! And another that I heard in our Bible training, “put a demand on God’s Word, it will come to pass, trust and believe, have confidence in Him and His Word)!

When your trust is in the Lord your God, the winds may blow, the rain may pour, the storm may rage, the violent waves may beat against you, but you will not be moved for your feet are secure and planted like a tree by the rivers of water and you shall not be moved! Always be confident and remember that you are blessed because you have put your trust in the Lord, and you have your hope grounded in the Lord!

Let’s Pray:
Father, I Thank You for Your faithfulness to me in all things. Father, I’m putting all of my trust and hope in You and Your Word! Father I am acknowledging You, for I repent for every time I trusted someone or something over You, after Your Word warned me not to put my trust in anyone or anything else, for there is no help in them (Psalm 146:3). I have learned to acclaim You in all things! I know that all of my help, healing, needs and desires come from You! Father, I know that You are my Lord and Savior, and You are faithful and true to Your Word, I trust Your Will for my life, today and always. Father I Thank You that Your roots go deep down inside of me and I can flourish and grow because I’m being nourished by You and Your Spirit. Because I’m connected to Your Vine, I will bear the fruit, and operate in the fruit of the Holy Spirit every day. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine!

Exodus 33:12-17 NKJV ~ Then Moses said to the LORD, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ [13] Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” [14] And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” [15] Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. [16] For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” [17] So the LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”

Today, stop chasing your feelings and know the facts of God’s Word!

You are an emotional being, you are either in love or hating someone, you’re happy or sad, you’re mad, sad or joyful, it’s one thing or another! As a Christian do you find it hard sometimes to combine your emotions into your spiritual life and you end up falling victim to dangerous tendencies when it comes to your emotions? These tendencies tend to occupy both ends of a spectrum, and they can lead you into a superficial kind of Christianity, where you let your emotions lead you, and you allow your feelings to dictate your circumstances and choices and that’s how you form your thoughts about God, based on you putting your feelings before your faith!

We are not suppose to be men and women who can merely define repentance, but rather a man or woman who hates sin and love righteousness. Get the Word of God in your spirit so that you will know it when you need it, and yes it’s good to memorize scripture but just memorizing it isn’t enough, if it doesn’t produce a change in you, humbleness, a desire to be like Him and love, for God, then it’s superficial, it’s only on the outside and nothing has reached your insides. It’s not enough for you to have knowledge without deep affection it is just lifeless! Scripture calls you to feel what you believe, who not only know truth but has experienced the truth. There is an order to this, your feelings and emotions must be governed and guided by truth of God’s Word!

If you follow your feelings over your faith, then you have missed the connection that God’s revelation is designed to make between your head and heart! It’s a matter of your heart! The key is not to pursue your feelings themselves but to pursue the Lord Jesus Christ by looking to Him, to know His Will and Ways, to obey His commands and to accept His promises, and you need Faith to is what gives birth to feeling to accept what He is doing and this is where your feelings art birth so that you can experience Him.

Sometimes you find yourself afraid when you face the unknown and fear will try to make you feel something that is not real, but it’s in these moments when God calls you to “fear not” for the relief from fear is not found in ignoring what lies ahead, but in looking to the God whose Sovereignty is certain and whose promises are sure. It is when you seek the Lord and ground your faith in Him that our fears and feelings are overcome by the Word of God (Psalm 34:4)! Lift up your head for your faith is tied to God’s character and promises to you!

God created you to experience emotions, He says that there is a time to weep and laugh, to mourn and dance, to hate and love, these emotions are found in His Word, Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, but He does not want you to live out of them, experience them, but live by faith and trust His Word! God’s Word will transform your emotions so that your faith is stronger than your feelings and you are not leaning on your own understanding but you acknowledge His Word in everything, Proverbs 3:5-6! Now your are operating from faith and not feelings!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Father, teach me to trust You and Your Word more. Father, I know that the assurance of my salvation is first and foremost based on Your mercy and grace, so I’m fixing my eyes on You by faith and I find in You, life, death, and resurrection all the hope necessary for me to stand before the You and to know You alone Father is my surety! Father, your Word and my Faith in You is what transforms me from one who use to operate from my feelings and being in despair over my sin, into a person who sing the praises of my Savior who has delivered me from my transgressions and to living a life of Faith. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Blessings…
