Good Morning Sunshine! Seek The Lord, He’s Listening Out For You! 

Psalm 34:4 NKJV ~ “I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.”

David who was a man after God’s heart wrote this Psalm! It was during one of the many times that he was being pursued by his enemies that he sought the Lord! Now David had witnessed God’s faithfulness on more than one occasion, and he had seen God work on his behalf before, but on this occasion, he was afraid, and he needed God to deliver him from his fears! 

David sought the Lord regularly because in seeking God he was able to overcome his fear instantly! In this Psalm David tells us two things that God did for him, first God answered and secondly, God delivered him from all his fears! Have you ever wondered, does God hear your prayers? Yes, every time you seek Him, He hears you and He answers you! The God you serve hears your cry, He is listening to you, He is catching every single tear! God hears your prayers! 

Psalm 17:6, “I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech.” Expect God to be listening to you when you call Him! You will be amazed at how God answers your prayers when you seek Him! They are never the answer that you expect or have planned. You need to be grateful that God is a good Father and He bends down to listen to our prayers. He’s not like anyone else. God has your answer. Stop placing your burdens on others, you will not find relief in them, go right to the Burden-bearer, and tell Him about your troubles and believe that He is able and willing to meet all of your needs! When you repent, you can go straight to the foot of the cross, when you have faith in your crucified and risen Saviour, you will receive power through Him! 

Throughout my life, I have prayed for so many things, some of which were important and while others, in hindsight, were less important. But as I look back, I am grateful that God didn’t always grant me my requests. (Can you be honest and say that?) If He had, I wouldn’t have found the joy I now have in my life! I wouldn’t not be where I am, I desire more of Him, just because I love Him! God answered my prayer in such a way that my life will never be the same. I look forward to seeking Him and spending time in His Presence. This is your place of transparency before God, He already knows. Seek Him! Surrender to Him! Be Submerged in His Presence! Let Him wash you with His Blood and His Word!  

God will answer your prayers in such a way that only He could cause such a turn-around in your life! When you seek God, He will give you peace and joy and strength and courage. Then you are able to tell someone else how precious Jesus Christ is to you. You can say out loud and be sure “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and He answered me and He precious to my soul.” Hebrews 4:16, “Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” You never have to be afraid of God, He just wants you to have reverence for Him, have confidence and believe that when you go to Him in prayer, you can rest assure that you can go fearless and boldly to the throne of Grace!

Father Thank You! Father, today I’m calling on You in prayer, and I will pray without ceasing, for this is what Your Word says, and I know that Your Word is true, and it will accomplish everything it set out to do. Father, I am grateful that I can come to You anytime I want and in any place! Father, I invite You to be with me everywhere I am, for I don’t want to be anywhere that You are not at! Thank You Father for loving me and for bending down and listen to me! Help me to remember how loved I am by You and that I can safely place all my fears into Your hands. Help me to trust You in all areas of my life, and to leave all of my cares in Your care. Father, today I will bring to You any and everything that will try to make me fearful and I’m going to lay it before You and seek You! For I am confident in this one thing, that when I sought You, You heard me and You answered me and You delivered me from all my fears, and I’m grateful that You worked every single thing out on my behalf for my good and You filled me with Your faith, hope and love. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good God Morning Sunshine! His Mercies Are New Everyday! Say Thank You God!

Lamentations 3:22-24 ~ “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. [22] It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. [23] They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. [24] The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.”

God’s Mercies are new every morning and each day has enough Mercy in it for that day! Today, remember that God’s mercies never fail! The Lord is your portion today, all you have to do is put all of your hope in Him! Today, think about your life, has God shown you mercy? Do you remember His promises? Please don’t take God and His Grace and Mercy for granted! Have you shown mercy to anybody? Are do you just want to punish them? Where is your compassion?

When God dealt with His sinful people, He exhibited His love and compassion for them. The word Mercy conveys God’s unconditional love for His covenant people and Jeremiah experienced this firsthand through a personal encounter about God’s faithfulness to His people. Because most times punishment usually follows disobedience, but God, He promised restoration and blessing, and Jeremiah knew that God would keep His promises. Because God is faithful day by day, you can be confident that He will come through in His great promises for your future.

I have a question for you to ponder, how often have you sinned, disobeyed God, forgot about His Word and went your own way? And yet, in spite of you, in spite of this, God still showed His Mercy towards you, He didn’t give you what you deserved, He had Mercy on you! Now, it’s your turn to have mercy on someone, yes, they failed, and fell short, but so did you, for the Word of God says, “all have come short”, (Romans 3:23) but God still kept you, He sustained, protected, and blessed you!

Your hope can be sustained by recalling to your remembrance God’s loyalty and love and His deep compassion towards you. Always remember that God loves you in spite of you, and you can depend on Him at all times! Put and keep your trust in the only One that can give Grace and Mercy! Today, and every day you need to Praise Him and Thank Him for His Mercy, after all His Mercy endures forever and ever. Trust Him, surrender your life to Him and commit your life to a lifetime of serving Him, it’s for your good and His Glory!

Let’s Pray:
Father, search my mind and heart, and remove everything that is not like You. I repent right now for every time I took Your Mercy for granted. Thank You for Your Grace and Mercy and for forgiving me of all my sins.  Lord, give me the gift of mercy for others. I choose to commit my life to serving You. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! You Have 1,440 Minutes To Do What God Called You To Do Today!

Mark 13:32-33 KJV ~ “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.  33-Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.”

You have been given a brand-new day, 24 hours, 1,440 minutes and 86,400 seconds. What are you going to do with your time?

Time is the most valuable and priceless thing that you have, and nobody knows when their time is going to be up! You don’t have any time to waste on things that don’t edify or build up God’s Kingdom! God has given you everything that you need for today to accomplish what He put inside of you! All you have to do is be obedient and grab a hold of Him! You have new mercy today, Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV, “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. [23] They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness!”

Don’t let what you desire, or others get in the way of what God wants to do through you today. Seek Him first and He will add everything that you need to be successful in this hour. Take heed today and watch and pray. Remind yourself of who you are in Christ Jesus, a new creator, old things have passed away, (Isaiah 43:18-19 ~ “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.  19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”) yesterday is gone, don’t go back, you can’t fix or change anything that happened yesterday, all you can do, is do better today!

God has paved the way for you through everything, the wilderness, rivers and streams, He has you covered. The only thing you need to remember is Jesus loves you, this we know because the Bible tells us so! There is nothing you will not or cannot accomplish today because God lives on the inside of you.  Make every minute count, because no one knows the hour but, The Father; so you have no choice but to be intentional and on purpose today because this time has been ordained by God for you and for His Glory!

Let’s Pray:
Father Thank You, thank You for this day, Your day that You have invited me in to be a part of! Father I don’t take it lightly, I’m grateful for everything second of this day. Father help me to be intentional in everything that I do for You today. May I encourage someone to keep pressing and moving as You give me and them strength. Father, thank You for paving the way for me! Father, thank You for the ability to move and have my being to do what You have purposed me to do! I will do it with a good heart unto You!

Good Morning Sunshine! God Is A Provider!

Exodus 16:13-16 NKJ ~ “So it was that quails came up at evening and covered the camp, and in the morning the dew lay all around the camp. [14] And when the layer of dew lifted, there, on the surface of the wilderness, was a small round substance, as fine as frost on the ground. [15] So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat. [16] This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.”

God is your provider! He provided food for His people when they were in the wilderness and hungry. Despite the people’s lack of appreciation and faith, God was still faithful. Despite your lack of appreciation and faithfulness, God is still Faithful to you! He sent bread from heaven in the morning, and quail from heaven in the evening to make sure that they ate! God is feeding you morning and evening! He sent fresh manna straight from heaven to them and He made sure it was enough to fill you up! God does not feed His children leftovers! Stop trying to live off of leftovers, they aren’t any good! God wants you to have fresh food daily! This is proof to you that God is a sustainer for you and everything that He has supersedes the natural processes and natural things in this world that you run after!

God is your provider and your ultimate source of sustenance! This should teach you that you don’t live on bread alone but on every word that comes from His mouth, your sustenance that comes from God is greater than even the bread that you eat in your home, and even that is a gift from God! You need to recognize your gifts! The Word of God is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat! He is your sustainer and every good and perfect gift that you have comes from Him. This is why you should bow your head in prayer before you eat a morsel of food! Be grateful and thankful that you have something to eat! A grateful heart can realize that if it had not been for the Lord, there is no way you would have the bread that you are eating right now unless God had provided it!

Can you stop right here and Thank God! Thank Him that you have food for both your physical and spiritual needs! The sustenance that you are going to enjoy today isn’t going to come from your breakfast, lunch or dinner; your ultimate source of sustenance comes from God and Him alone! The children gathered the fresh manna and grinned it like grain and made it into sweet tasting pancakes. It was just what they needed to satisfy their natural hunger.  In the book of John 6, Jesus compares himself to manna. You do know that Jesus is your daily bread who satisfies your eternal and spiritual needs daily! I am the bread of life. [49] Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and are dead. [50] This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. [51] I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” John 6:48-51!

Today, I want you to look Godward for your daily bread, for it will point you toward the One who is “the true bread from heaven”, “the bread of life” (John 6:32, 35), the One that can provide for you in every area of your life!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Father You are my Provider and I’m grateful! Thank You Father that no situation is too far out of your control for You to provide. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides all of my needs. Father m, You own the whole world and You hold it all in your hands! Father, Thank You for meeting all my needs before I even come to You, You are already aware of all that concerns me, and You have a plan in place to help me. Father, You move mountains to make ways for Your children in the desert and you provide water for me to drink, I’m grateful! Father help me to wait on You, for Your timing is perfect! Father, forgive me for doubting You and for trying to work everything out on my own. Father, help me to trust You and help me with my unbelief! Father, today I choose to believe that You are more than able to accomplish far more and to do far greater, than I ever thought possible. Father, I’m Thanking You in advance for the miracles that You did in paving out pathways, me, Father, I love You! Thank You for the abundance of blessing and goodness that You have already stored up on my behalf. Father, I put my trust in You this day, and every day, for the rest of my days. I’m so grateful for the joy that fills my life.  lives. Father, Thank You for teaching me to be content in all things. In the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Be Constant! Be Consistent! Be Confident!

Romans 12:12 AMP ~ “constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength]”

Every day say this to yourself, it will keep you in a place of hope! Hope in God! Let the hope that you have in God, help you to be in constant and consistent in your prayer life!
Let the hope that you have in God causes you to live your life with great joy on the inside of you regardless of trials and circumstances that take place around you!

God’s promise is your sure foundation and the reason why you should have hope! Let your hope in God be stronger than anything that you are not sure about! Let the hope you have in Him be stronger than all of your fears. Let the hope you have in God propel you to rejoice! God wants to hear from your heart today.  He wants to spend time with you, consistent time, not a drive bye or a quick minute, He wants time!

Today, if you are going through a rough season, give yourself some grace, for God has given you some. The Word says, “be patient in tribulation!” I know this is a difficult and different season that you are walking in, but be patient with yourself in this tribulation, it’s making you better. I know this is easier said than done, but you can do it with God’s help, trust it. Trust the Process of God! He’s in control, He can handle it, and remember His timing is not yours, His timing is perfect, and He does not make errors or mistakes, His plan is perfect! You can rest in God’s sovereignty and power! Just take it to God in prayer!

Be constant in your prayer life! So many times, we go hours into our day without stopping to pray to God, especially if things are going well, but let something happen, you can’t move quick enough to get on your knees in prayer. That is not constant prayer, that’s just going to Him because you have an urgent need or want!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying don’t go to Him in prayer when you have a need, you are supposed to go to Him at all  times, but be consistent and constant in your prayer life which means you are with Him 24/7, and this is every season of your life, because the truth of the matter is when you are not constant in your prayers, you are missing out on the connection with your Father, and this is where your confidence lives!

You have been given the best gift ever, the ability to communicate with the God of this universe, there is nothing between you and Him but you! Surrender your will for His Will and take full advantage of this wonderful privilege that you have been given. No other thing that God created has this gift, but you do! Become constant and consistent, connected and confident in your prayer life and watch how you blossom!

Father, today I’m pressing into You like never before, increase Your joy and hope in me. Lord give me more patience in my tribulations.  Father, draw me into a deeper prayer life with You, and deepen my desires to talk with You all throughout my day! In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! God Will Fight Your Battles, If You Would Only Be Still! 

Philippians 1:27-28 NLT ~ “Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. [28] Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.”

Have you ever heard the phrase, “Choose your battles wisely?” A good leader knows it’s a mistake to try and fight to many battles at once; because you will spread yourself out too thin and this makes you vulnerable to the enemy! You do know that the same thing is true in your natural life! You need to avoid undue stress, stop letting every little thing upset you, choose your battles wisely! Stop making mountains out of molehills! Before you devote your time, energy, and emotion to a problem, ask yourself how important it is and is it really worth your energy!

Now there are some battles you have to fight and then there are some that you need to bow out of because they aren’t worth your time or energy, Proverbs 19:11, “A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.” Your wisdom can yield patience; sometimes, the best way to win is not to fight at all! Embrace the gift of letting certain battles pass you by without you saying a mumbling word! Then there are battles that you cannot afford to surrender too, because your life depends on it, you just have to figure out what battlefield you’re willing to die on, then take your stand! 

Remember the Word, “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:11! Look at how many battles Joshua had to fight in Jericho, he fought at least thirteen different battles, and he defeated thirty-one kings in the process, and here’s the thing, those kings did not surrender without a fight. A fight requires two opposing opponents to do battle! But God! But when God is with you, and the battle has been ordered and ordained by Him, you will win! God plus you are the majority, and you will be undefeated! 

We always like to talk about the battle between David and Goliath, it was God ordained, He went in God’s strength, (people will count you out when they look at you in the natural, but when it’s God, you will have supernatural abilities) it wasn’t about the size of the giant it was about the faith that David had and that gave him the strategy on how to defeat the enemy, one smooth pebble caused the giant to tumble, fall and die! Pick your battles like a well-seasoned commander, recognizing the movement and flow of life’s seasons! The question becomes which fight is for you and which ones are not, every fight is not worth your energy or like Paul, it’s not even worth the ink on the paper! The battles that God has ordained for you to fight, He already has a strategy for you to win! Trust and Believe! 

Don’t be drawn into every fight that comes your way! Don’t be drawn into every confrontation that the enemy wants to drag you into! Don’t allow yourself to become a part of needless battles that God Himself does not want you to fight, this is how and why you have had to deal with some unwanted warfare, you fought in a fight that wasn’t for you! Don’t get into battles just because you have what it takes to fight; just because God allowed you to fight a battle before and win, does not mean He has authorized you to fight again right now! Sit Still! This may be the time when God says the enemy you see now, you won’t ever see again! Exodus 14:14, “The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Starting today, learn the difference between the major matters and the minor matters. Moses was a great leader, but he exhausted himself because he tried to do everything by himself. Perhaps he thought he had to do so, since he was the leader in charge. And maybe you may feel you have to do it, but you need to know that you don’t have to do everything by yourself! You need to discern between the battles that God wants you to fight and the ones He wants you to avoid. Discern between the times you need to speak up and the times you need to be silent! Discern between the times you need to fight and defeat those that are against you and the times you simply need to walk away from those that are against you (God got this)! Don’t be counted amongst them that were consumed by battles that should have been avoided. Choose your battles wisely. Discern between the battles you should fight and the ones you need to flee from! 

The Word of God will lead you to strategic scriptures that will help you navigate the battlefield! Choose your battles wisely, embrace the wisdom of the Word, and a spirit that knows when to wield the Sword and when to sheath it! May your battles be short and your victories sweet, as you move forward as a Kingdom Warrior to a life well-lived with God! 

Let’s Pray:

Father, Thank You! Father, keep me from being consumed by things that are not the main thing, which is You! Father guide me with Your wisdom so that I may discern well, Father, give me the humility to reach out for help when I need it most. Father go ahead of me and make every crooked place straight, strengthen me for the battles that You have ordained for me to be a part of, for every battle is not a physical battle. Father help me discern between the physical and spiritual battles and teach me how to use my weapons correctly to defeat the enemy. Father for those battles that I am not to fight, give me wisdom to be still and quiet and to know that You are God and that You are taking care of everything that concerns me. Father I desire to be obedient to Your Will, Way and Word. Father, Thank You for I know that You are fighting all of my battles just for me. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Good Morning Sunshine! You Have Been Rescued By God!

Psalm 91:7,10-11 AMP ~ “A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But danger will not come near you. [8] You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyes And witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High]. [9] Because you have made the LORD, [who is] my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, [10] No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. [11] For He will command His angels in regard to you, To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].”

Today, God is saying, if you trust Me and obey what I tell you to do He will restore order to your situation! When you trust in the Lord and continue to move like He commands, He will speak in His Power and Authority and bring those who are trying to contend with you to a place of total humility and seeing who God is, in you and for you, and then they will see who they truly are!

Ten thousand may try to fall at your side but, God’s supernatural power and strength will prevail in your life! God’s Right Hand will cover and fight for you! And when the battle is over you will see how God’s Mighty Hand took action and defended and defeated you against your enemies! Psalm 91 is the greatest “If Then” passages in the Bible! God says, “If you will do this, then I will do that.” This is the blueprint for a life of victory and power. Not by your power, but God’s Power flowing through you into the world.

Psalm 91 is full of God’s promises His Presence, Power, and Protection is for the one who dwells with Him in His Secret Place; trusting and loving Him; finding value in Him and His Word and staying connected to Him day in and day out! You can do this when you follow His command to deny yourself and taking up the cross and following Him, (Mark 8: 38). Everything will begin when you learn how to dwell in His Secret Place!

When you truly trust God, you will be able to see through His eyes and you will see His Hand at work in your life. Then you will be able to pray for those who mistreat you and try to spitefully use you. As you continue in prayer, God will uncover all the lies and plots of the enemy, you will have “The Victory “over your enemies and you will receive compensation! All you have to do is remain faithful at the coming of Jesus Christ, your Lord and Savior!

Let’s Pray:
Father Thank You! Thank You for covering me. Father, give me Your wisdom and the understanding of Your Word that I may apply it to my life daily. Father, You have set things in place in my life for my good. Guide me by Your Holy Spirit, as I seek You and Your ways. Father, Thank You for being my Comforter and heart fixer. Father continue to cover me in Your love, truth and peace in the good and bad times and lead me away from myself and worry. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Are You Listening?

1 Samuel 3:10b ~ “Speak, for your servant is listening.”

Have you ever thought
that you heard someone calling your name? You looked around and asked did anyone call you, only to hear them so no, I didn’t call you! Then you heard it again and again and you got the same response!

Did you ever stop and think that God might be calling you? I know that you have talked with Him and now He’s speaking directly to you, don’t you know your Father’s voice when you hear it? (The Word say, “He goes before His sheep, and they know His voice and they won’t follow anyone else” ~John 10:4 paraphrased)

Today’s scripture was during the time when the Word of the Lord was rare and there were no visions to see! You had to just trust the Lord. And Samuel kept hearing his name called and he thought it was Eli. But, when Samuel was told it was the Lord speaking to Him, he was told to say, “Speak, Lord for your servant is listening!” Are you listening for the clarion call, He’s going to call you by your name!

Do you remember the cell phone slogan, “Can you hear me now?” The idea was to convince you that their company had the strongest signal and that none of your calls would drop! Think about this spiritually, there is no one that can speak to you like the Lord, the bars of plentiful, the signal is extra strong, His speech is impeccable, there is no error, it’s clear and concise, the issue is not can you hear Him, the question is are you listening closely for His voice today, and what His request is going to be and what will be your response?

Is your signal strong or weak when it comes to hearing what God is speaking to you? Are you faithful or faithless? Do you have a direct line open to connect with God or is it busy? If God were to call you right now, would you be listening and then respond by saying, speak Lord, or will He be saying to you, “Can you hear me now?”

Listen carefully for the voice of God, so when He calls you, you will know that’s Him and you will answer your Father and be ready to do what He says, the first time!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You! Thank You for speaking directly to me, Father I can hear You in the wind, the rain and the trees, You are a part of everything that I hear! Thank You for Your directions on what I need to do today. Father, speak with me and talk with me all throughout my day. Father, I love having fellowship with You, that’s why I’m going to praise and worship from the rising of the sun to the setting of the same sun! Father, speak to me, for Your servant is listening, waiting and wanting to please You today, in the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! God Is Calling You To Rest! Take Heed!

Mark 6:30-32 NIV ~ “The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. [31] Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” [32] So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.”

In today’s fast paced world, rest has become a lost art, you are always so busy, and you spend less and less time resting. But now is the time for you to stop and rest! God has caused everything to come to a halt just for you to rest! He knew that you were not going to stop on your own. He needed to assist you in stopping to rest!

You see your day starts at the dawn of sunrise and you extend your energy throughout the day till late at night, until you can see the moonlight. Sometimes it is almost a new day before you collapse for a few minutes until it’s time to get up and do the same thing all over again with little or no rest! And you are wonder why you are so tired, you didn’t allow yourself one minute to come up for air and breathe, and now you feel guilty about wanting to stop, so you don’t stop, until God interrupts you!

God knows you, and instead of you slowing down, you will speed up and move even faster, and you believe that you only need a few hours of rest here and there! But I’ve come to tell you that you need to pull away to a desert place and spend some alone time with your Heavenly Father who misses you! Get yourself to a quiet place.  A place in the wilderness, free of distractions, and let’s be clear, it’s not a wasted place but an isolated place, where you can pray!

I have a question for you, where does rest fit in your plans with all the things that you have to do everyday family, work, ministry and the list goes on and on? When Jesus sent His disciples out, He didn’t stop or shield them from all of life’s changes, ministry, work, challenges, circumstances, issues and disappointments, however He told them, not asked if they wanted to rest, He commanded them, to pull away to a secluded place, away from everyone and everything where they could spend time with Him to be refueled and rejuvenated, they had to rest so that they could continue on with their journey and ministry that they were called to do! I can hear God saying the same thing to you right now, You Need to Rest!

I know that you have been through a lot lately, and you think you have it all together, but there is more to do and you have to rest so that God can continue to prepare you for the more that remains to be done! but God said this, Matthew 11:28 (“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”) And right now, it’s time for you to rest and not feel guilty for taking a minute to regroup and recharge!

I want you to know that your regular routine is being interrupted and you can’t do business as usual. It’s Rest Time! So, I want you to embrace this moment, arise into this new day that God has given you, take a moment and bask in His sun or dance in the rain, He made both of them for you to enjoy, read His Word outside and look at all of His splendor, watch a bird soar or listen to them sing, smell the flowers, walk barefoot in the grass, drink a cup of coffee or tea, sit quietly in His Presence and listen to what He’s saying to you, and listen to understand what He’s saying, and do not respond with what you want from Him! God created this world in six days and then He rested, so you need rest too! Genesis 2:2 ~ “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.”

Today, and throughout the rest of this month spend time nurturing your most important relationship, the one with your Heavenly Father, say yes to Him and His Ways and say no to everything else. Your mind, body and soul need to be refreshed, refueled, recharged, restored, rejuvenated, revived and renewed by His Holy Spirit. And the only way that you can continue growing, moving and serving is to be whole, healthy, and disciplined. So, you have to spend quality time alone with God, surrendering the life He gave you, back to Him, you have to do the submitting, He is not going to force Himself on you. Surrender to submit, this will bring Glory to your Father! Jesus told you to do it, it’s for your good and His Glory!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You for the true gift of embracing rest! Father, I pray that while I rest, You will create in me a clean heart, strengthen me and give me the capacity of endurance for my journey. Father, Thank You for You! Father, I choose You and all that You are doing in and for me during this time of rest. I pray that my mind and body receive strength and that Your peace encompasses all of me. Father, during my time of rest please remove everything from me that’s not like You, purge and purify me as You prepare me for my next level! May my faith and wisdom increase as I spend time in Your Presence. Father, help me to be strong, healthy and disciplined as I do what You have called me to do. And Father, when You command me to pull away and rest, that I will be obedient and that You will fill me with more love, joy, peace, and wisdom. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Your Father Is Turning The Wind In Your Favor! Can You Hear It?

Amos 4:13 (NIV) ~ “He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth — the Lord God Almighty is his name.”

God formed everything and everyone and yet so many times we have opinions about things that we don’t fully understand. Like, the wind! Can you see the wind? Do you know which way it’s going to blow today? No, you don’t, you just have to trust God and go with the flow and enjoy the breeze! Do you feel it? God has caused the winds of change to blow in your direction! As you enter into this new season, you will fill the winds of the Spirit moving over you and propelling you into your God ordained destiny!

John 3:8 ~ “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So, it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” When the wind blows, a shaking takes place, you feel the breeze even though you can’t see it, but you got a feeling that the Holy Spirit is up to something big, and you are in awe at what God is doing in your life! Yeah, I know that you are facing some different kinds of battles, and it may seem like our request to God has gone unheard and unheeded.  But God! Today, I want to encourage you, that it has not gone un-noticed, unheard or unheeded, the movement of God’s Spirit, is like the wind, though you may not see it, it’s always moving and there accomplishing its intended purpose.

The Wind of God is free, and it can blow and go anywhere it wants! For this reason, you need focus on God’s Will and not your want! In order to see the kingdom of God, you must be born again, it is not an optional religious experience, but it is an absolutely necessity if you want to be saved! So, if you have been born of God, then you should be a true believer! Just like the wind is moving and blowing, so is the Spirit of God moving on your behalf. God’s Spirit is discerned by its effects and not by what you observe, the Holy Spirit is active yet still it is unseen, but it’s working loudest when it’s silent!

You and I are finite people and we do not know, hear or see everything. But you serve the “Infinite One,” the One who knows, hears and sees everything at the same time, you serve a Gracious God!” God hears and is answering your prayers and sometimes He may say yes, no, or wait. If He says no, He has a better plan than the one you have and if He says wait, He’s perfecting something in the wind for you, just wait on Him.

There is something you should know, you can’t determine where the wind came from, and you can’t determine where it’s going! (Just like your life, you have no control, it’s all in God’s Plan, where you are going and how)! It always looks worse than it actually is and it’s during these moments that God is doing the most work for you. The Lord sees you and He and cares. The Spirit of God is always active on your behalf, but it’s like the mountains and the wind it goes beyond the comprehension of your temporal vision, you just have to stand still and feel it, feel the wind of the Holy Spirit blowing on you!

Have you been born again? Born of the Spirit, you do know that “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63! The Wind of God is blowing and there is a shaking and shifting in your atmosphere, it’s happening in your favor! Be ready to feel the Wind! God’s Spirit is speaking to you through the wind, and it is moving you in whatever direction He wants you to go! Stop fighting against the Wind (The Spirit of God)!

The freedom of the Spirit of God is producing life in you as a born-again child and your will is moving to the moments that your new birth took place! The effects from the sound of the wind changed you and you were made alive by The Spirit of God! Your will was moved to receive Jesus and to believe in Jesus The Christ as your Lord and Savior! Father Thank You for revealing to us who You are! You are the Lord God Almighty!

Let’s Pray:
Father, I Thank You for making it possible for me to know You and experience this amazing life changing wind blowing in my life, pass the mountains, through the darkness and into your marvelous light! Thank You Father! Father, Abba Father, I want to feel Your Wind blowing on and in me today! Father, Thank You for Your breath of Rauch, cover me and every one that is connected to me, for we all need you! Father, help me to embrace the sound, shifting and blowing of Your Wind, Will, Way and Word today! Father, move me to any place You want me, for wherever You are, that’s where I want to be also. I live to be in Your Presence, morning, noon and night, I just want to be near You! I am surrender to Your Will and Way! Let the Power of Your Holy Spirit blow in my life like never before today. In Jesus Christ Mighty Name. Amen!!!
