Good Morning Sunshine! God Is A Provider!

Exodus 16:13-16 NKJ ~ “So it was that quails came up at evening and covered the camp, and in the morning the dew lay all around the camp. [14] And when the layer of dew lifted, there, on the surface of the wilderness, was a small round substance, as fine as frost on the ground. [15] So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat. [16] This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: ‘Let every man gather it according to each one’s need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.”

God is your provider! He provided food for His people when they were in the wilderness and hungry. Despite the people’s lack of appreciation and faith, God was still faithful. Despite your lack of appreciation and faithfulness, God is still Faithful to you! He sent bread from heaven in the morning, and quail from heaven in the evening to make sure that they ate! God is feeding you morning and evening! He sent fresh manna straight from heaven to them and He made sure it was enough to fill you up! God does not feed His children leftovers! Stop trying to live off of leftovers, they aren’t any good! God wants you to have fresh food daily! This is proof to you that God is a sustainer for you and everything that He has supersedes the natural processes and natural things in this world that you run after!

God is your provider and your ultimate source of sustenance! This should teach you that you don’t live on bread alone but on every word that comes from His mouth, your sustenance that comes from God is greater than even the bread that you eat in your home, and even that is a gift from God! You need to recognize your gifts! The Word of God is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat! He is your sustainer and every good and perfect gift that you have comes from Him. This is why you should bow your head in prayer before you eat a morsel of food! Be grateful and thankful that you have something to eat! A grateful heart can realize that if it had not been for the Lord, there is no way you would have the bread that you are eating right now unless God had provided it!

Can you stop right here and Thank God! Thank Him that you have food for both your physical and spiritual needs! The sustenance that you are going to enjoy today isn’t going to come from your breakfast, lunch or dinner; your ultimate source of sustenance comes from God and Him alone! The children gathered the fresh manna and grinned it like grain and made it into sweet tasting pancakes. It was just what they needed to satisfy their natural hunger.  In the book of John 6, Jesus compares himself to manna. You do know that Jesus is your daily bread who satisfies your eternal and spiritual needs daily! I am the bread of life. [49] Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and are dead. [50] This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. [51] I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” John 6:48-51!

Today, I want you to look Godward for your daily bread, for it will point you toward the One who is “the true bread from heaven”, “the bread of life” (John 6:32, 35), the One that can provide for you in every area of your life!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Father You are my Provider and I’m grateful! Thank You Father that no situation is too far out of your control for You to provide. You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who provides all of my needs. Father m, You own the whole world and You hold it all in your hands! Father, Thank You for meeting all my needs before I even come to You, You are already aware of all that concerns me, and You have a plan in place to help me. Father, You move mountains to make ways for Your children in the desert and you provide water for me to drink, I’m grateful! Father help me to wait on You, for Your timing is perfect! Father, forgive me for doubting You and for trying to work everything out on my own. Father, help me to trust You and help me with my unbelief! Father, today I choose to believe that You are more than able to accomplish far more and to do far greater, than I ever thought possible. Father, I’m Thanking You in advance for the miracles that You did in paving out pathways, me, Father, I love You! Thank You for the abundance of blessing and goodness that You have already stored up on my behalf. Father, I put my trust in You this day, and every day, for the rest of my days. I’m so grateful for the joy that fills my life.  lives. Father, Thank You for teaching me to be content in all things. In the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! God Is Going To Feed You!

Deuteronomy 8:3-4 AMP ~ “He humbled you and allowed you to be hungry and fed you with manna, [a substance] which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, so that He might make you understand [by personal experience] that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the LORD. Your clothing did not wear out on you, nor did your feet swell these forty years.”

Most people think that they can earn enough money to dress, eat, and play anyway they want, they think they are living “the good life.” But I’ve come to tell you that these things will not satisfy your deepest longings. In the end, they will leave empty and dissatisfied.

Jesus quoted this verse when the devil tempted him to turn stones into bread (Matthew 4:3-4). You may think that life is about satisfying your appetite, but it’s so much more than that. Real life, according to Moses, comes from you being totally committed to God and living by every word that comes from him. You need to live by His Word! You need to recognize your need for His Word! Next, you need to know that God alone can truly satisfy you. Then, you need to pray for His Presence, Peace, Wisdom and direction as you read the Scripture. You also need to the relationship that you have with Him through Jesus Christ, for this is the only way to the Father, (through Jesus Christ, John 14:6). Finally, you need to practice what He teaches you!

You see natural bread will not sustain you nor can it guarantee your life. But the bread that God gives you is His gift to those who trust in and live by His Word, His commands and promises. God will discipline you to get your attention by bringing you through the wilderness, this is where He teaches the fundamental truths of how to live. You will have to humble yourself; you must have total dependence on God to live, and to live a life full of abundance.

When the Israelites saw this study, they asked Moses what is this stuff that is covering the ground? (Exodus 16:14, 16:31, Number 11:7). God created food especially for them and He will do the same thing for you! God ordained that they experience a physical hunger, and then He supernaturally gave them manna. He did this to provide what their physical bodies needed and to emphasize that man does not live by physical bread alone, but also by spiritual food (which is every Word that proceeds out of His mouth, you need to eat it up!)

God is a Provider! Not only did God give them special made food and drink in the wilderness, but He also didn’t allow their clothes or shoes to wear out. Nor did any of them suffer from swollen feet, while they were walking on hot and rough ground! God will take care of you no matter what season you are in. God’s discipline of you is for your good, it is to prepare you to enter and receive the good land. And you have to keep His commandments. Moses reminded the Israelites to keep the commandments of God, and to walk in His ways. Every day you have to tell yourself that you are going to follow what God says, you have to commit to the commitment, even when it doesn’t make sense to your natural mind. If God said it, then He will do it!

The place where God is taking you is full of abundance, and He is going to feed you really good. There will be an abundance supply of water, there will be brooks, fountains and springs, as well as fields, vineyards, and orchards, all yielding fresh substance for His children. All of this is provided for you, and it’s for your enjoyment and to remind you to bless the LORD for the good land that He has prepared and preserved just for you! Today, you can eat and drink well, from the Word of God!

This weekend, set aside one of your mealtimes with food, and fill it up with prayer and God’s Word! So next time you get hungry, say to yourself that “you are more important than a sandwich right now, the Word of God has become my manna, it’s sweet and it’s satisfying straight down to my bones!” Train and teach yourself that you don’t live on bread alone but on by every Word that comes from His mouth. This will help you to be sustained by Word and to value His Word more than you value daily food.

Today, let’s be clear, you don’t live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the Mouth of God!

Let’s Pray:

Father Thank You! Father forgive me for trying to go my own way and not follow what You have said! Father, Thank You for loving and providing for me in spite of me. Thank You for taking care of me like you did the children of Israel, You provide manna and drink for them because You loved them. Thank You for loving me, I can’t thank You enough or repay You for what You have done and for what You continue to do. Father, I remember, and I will be obedient and grateful. Let me always show You how grateful I am by my actions and how I do what You have commanded me to do. “Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.” Psalm 107:8. Father, thank You for everything and most importantly for sending Your Son as a sacrifice on my behalf. Please cultivate a heart of gratitude in me and help me call to mind all the reasons to be thankful to You today and every day! Father help me to put down my natural food and pick up my spiritual food that I may be sustained. Father fed me till daily for I am hungry and thirsty for You and You alone. Father I will obey Your Will, Way and Word. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
