Good Morning Sunshine! God Knows and He Sees!

Psalm 139:1-4 NIV ~ “You have searched me, LORD, and you know me. [2] You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. [3] You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. [4] Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely.”

Your Father is everywhere at the same time, He is Omnipresent! Today, there is nowhere else you should desire to be except in Your Father’s, Presence, that’s where His Glory resides!

Did you receive this? You are never alone when you have God, God is always with you, everywhere you go, He goes!  Psalm 139:7 KJV~ “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? “God knows more about you than you know about yourself! My question to you is, do you want to “fix” yourself or do you want God to “help” you! His helping can do more good for you than all the fixing that you think of!

It is in God’s Presence, that your call becomes clearer! It’s in His Presence where He talks with you! It’s in His Presence that He walks with you! It’s in His Presence that you find joy! It’s in His Presence that you find peace! It’s in His Presence that you find love! It’s in Presence where His Glory shows up and changes your life! It’s in this place, His Presence, that His Glory appears, and there is no other place you should want to be!

Today, there is nothing standing between you and Him, no priest, no protocol, just you and Him, the curtain has been torn and removed and your way is clear to meet your Father face to face! Trust the process of God, He gave you everything that you need, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew 28:18, you have the power! How amazing it is to be in God’s Presence and to see His Glory show up!

Let’s Pray:
Father, today I will open my mouth and declare Your goodness before everyone that I meet. I will declare I’m victorious because of what You are doing in my life, and I belong to You! Father, Thank You for Your promises and everlasting Presence that covers me and everyone that I am concerned about. Father, there is nowhere that I want to be, except in Your Presence, for Your Glory and my good, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen and Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! You Serve A Faithful God!

1 Thessalonians 5:24 KJV ~ “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:24 NLT ~ “God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.”

1 Thessalonians 5:24 AMP ~ “Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who is calling you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will do it [He will fulfill His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own].”

I needed you to read this scripture in more than one translation!

And yet, after all that life brings me, I know of only one thing that is sure and for certain and that is God is Faithful and He always will be Faithful!

What is Faith? Faith is not about your inclinations or feelings! Faith is what you believe about God! You can never have much faith, if you are searching for something better than what you have, then you are in the right position to exercise your faith. You must have a strong conviction of what you do not see, you can’t just want something better you have to be aware and believe with every fiber of your being that there is something else better for you! Now that is your Faith! Hebrews 11:1,6 NIV ~ “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see; [6] And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Has God been Faithful to you? Does His mercies endure forever? Faithful is God’s Character, you don’t have one with the other, “Faithful is Our God”, “God is Faithful”, you see no matter how you put it, God and Faithful go together.

Are you truly aware of what is surrounding you?  You are surrounded by an invisible kingdom, something greater, and that which is seen is not the whole picture, there’s more to your life, there are realities and blessings which you cannot see or touch right now, but they are as real as what you see right now in the natural and they are vital to your life! Where is your faith? Nothing in this life is for certain, there are so many unknowns and sometimes it may seem a little frightening. BUT I have learned one thing, no matter what, “GOD IS FAITHFUL!” If you think God will always lead you on easy paths, you would be tempted to give up and turn your backs on Him. I don’t know what the circumstances in your life are right now, but just let go and hold on to God’s hands.

I have a few questions for you today, are you a man/woman of faith? Where is your confidence? Do you have a hunger and desire for something better in your life? Are you really ready to commit yourself to a lifestyle and lifetime of faith and to accept His Word as “The Truth” despite the cries of what you don’t see right now? Do you have faith? Pray for God to increase your faith! Today, you can grow in your faithfulness to God by working on your personal relationship with Him. When you are truly faithful to Him and obey His commands, faithfulness will be evident in your lives. God is here, right now and He won’t let you go. He is directing your path, and He will lead you to victory.

God is blowing my mind with how Faithful He is and all I can tell you is what I know for certain and that is, God is Faithful! And I am Grateful!

Let’s Pray:
Father, thank You for Your gift of faith, I need You and my faith to make it! Lord increase my faith, I desire to love on You and to trust You for the things that I don’t see but I know that they are there. Father, give me faith like a child to believe and follow and trust You every day. Father I bless Your Name for what you have done in my life today, nobody else could do what You do! Father, I know that this is You, because there is no other way this could be so! Father increases my faith, strengthen me when I am weak for, I know that when I am weak You are strong.  But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10! I will testify of the Goodness of the Lord every chance I get. In Jesus Christ Mighty! Amen.

Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Time To Get It Out!

Hebrews 10:22 NLT ~ “let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.”

Have you ever been walking and then felt a rock or pebble in your shoe? And at first you just tried to adjust your foot in your shoe, thinking you could make it and for a minute you thought it worked itself out. The smallest of something that gets in your shoe will affect your ability to keep going, sooner or later, you will have to pay attention to it. So, you continued walking only to realize that the pebble was still there and now it’s making you walk uncomfortable. You thought about stopping, but you thought to yourself that you could keep going, it’s only a pebble, a minor nuisance.

You can keep walking, but now that pebble is starting to feel like a big rock and it’s causing you pain and it’s affecting your walk because now you are trying to being careful how you put your foot down, it’s making your walk both painful and uncomfortable when it should be a pleasant one! But enough is enough, that pebble has got to go! So, you stop, take off your shoe, maybe even your sock and you shake everything out and inspect your sock and shoe before you put it back on and then you take a few test steps to make sure it’s gone before you finish tying/lacing up your shoe again, you have to make sure that, that pebble is gone! Now you can breathe a sigh of relief before you proceed with your day!

Well just like that pebble got to you after a while, having sin in your life is like just like that pebble in your shoe! You can’t walk far in life; it will cause you pain and slow you down. Sin that is constantly piercing your mind is like the sound of dripping water faucet at night, it stops you from getting any peace and rest! Today, my sisters and brothers, the only way to find rest for your mind and soul is to point it to the cross of Jesus Christ. This is where every sin that you have and will ever commit, Jesus died for it, He substituted His body and took on your punishment because He loves you! Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice, for your sins to be forgiven and washed away by the cleansing of His blood! Because of what He did on the cross you can approach God for yourself, you have been cleansed by the Blood of Jesus Christ! You should be screaming and shouting, Glory Hallelujah for what He did just for you!

The more you believe in Jesus Christ and His Word, the more you will be able walk with a clear mind and free of the rocks of sin, and the further you will be able to walk with God! When you allow God to remove the little things, the pebbles in your life that have caused you discomfort, you can draw closer and closer to God and gain strength spiritually. Can you testify to the strength that He has given you? Can you testify that God has delivered you? You do know that you can turn to your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and you will testify that He has healed you and made you whole again, only He can remove the pebble/sins out of your life if you will let Him!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Thank You for a brand new day! Father, forgive me for tolerating things I should be removing from my life. Those little pebbles can be worse than any big rock because I tend to ignore them. To you they are all the same, sin! Thank you for the opportunity to repent right now and to pour out of me everything that is not like You. Father, I’m bringing everything to the altar today and giving it to You them in prayer, and You loving me and forgiving me. Thank You for speaking into my life today through the rock and pebble that was in my shoe. Father, today I choose to fix my eyes on You.  I am choosing to honor You with my thoughts and my words.  I am focusing on my life the being changed through Your Mercy and Grace. Father, I choose to allow You renew and restore my life that true healing may take place that every broken place can be healed. Father, I am handing everything over to you that my pebble, my sin can be removed from my life. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Open Your Eyes And Look Again!

2 Kings 6:15-17 AMP ~ “The servant of the man of God got up early and went out, and behold, there was an army with horses and chariots encircling the city. Elisha’s servant said to him, “Oh no, my master! What are we to do?” [16] Elisha answered, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” [17] Then Elisha prayed and said, “LORD, please, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servants eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha.”

This should be your daily prayer request to God! Father, open my Eyed God, that I may see! Yesterday, I was going to meet up with a friend and earlier in the day, the fog was a concern. She went back and forth with she’s coming; she’s not coming because of the fog. And when she started out on her journey there seemed to be some fog and she turned around to go back home and I called her and said that it was more than me waiting for her, so she turned around again and when she looked again there was no fog coming or going. God had prevailed! And then when she made it home, she sent this message. “Sometimes it’s just an illusion. Look again!”

And this brought me to our scripture today! You may think something is there in your natural eyes but look again and watch what God will show you! It may look like the enemy has you surrounded, but your reinforcement has them and you surrounded and covered!

I love early morning pillow talk with the Lord. It’s like I just want to lay there and worship the Lord and feel His Presence surround me all day, it’s a place that I want to never ever leave. True intimacy with Him is what you need every single day. It’s relationship and not religion! It’s the best feeling ever and it amazes me how I can talk with Him about any and everything, He listens, and He speaks to me too!

Here is a word just for you. You get sight in the spiritual realm when you exercise faith in the physical realm! (you have to do a thing in order to be good at it, spending time in your Word is how you exercise and build your faith). Sometimes things have to get darker for you to recognize that God’s Hands are better than yours. Let’s go back to the first to the first line that you just read, did you hear the first thing you saw, say these words out loud to yourself again before you continue reading the devotional, “You get sight in your spiritual realm when you exercise your faith in the physical realm!” This means that the Holy Spirit will show you things that your naked eye can’t see, but you need faith to see and believe it is so!

So, do you have faith today? How can you see where you are? You go to the Word, Romans 10:17, “So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.” So, when you get sight in the spiritual realm it is because you heard the message of Jesus Christ in the natural and it fed your spirit! Now, can you see? Can you see things in the spiritual realm that God is showing that is going on in the natural realm? Get excited about listening to the Word of God and seeing the Word come alive!

Have you ever heard this or said it to someone, “I wish you could see what I see.” You are working on something and trying to explain what you see only to hear them say I can’t see it yet! This can be so frustrating, you see it and you need them to see it, but they can’t seed what you are looking at Yet! God gave me an epiphany right then, but did you catch that keys word “Not Yet!” This means that you just need to look again! They just need to look again! It’s in these moments when your relationship with God comes to life. What was trying to worry or disappoint you in the natural, God is saying to you, “If only you could see what I see! There’s more to it than how you see it right now! Open your eyes again and look, it’s going to work out in the end. Just trust Me. Get a Not Yet in your spirit today!

Yes, there was a battle getting ready to take place, all the evidence pointed to that, but God! All battles belong to God and when you have encountered and experienced a moment with God, you should always remember that He is able, He will not leave you nor forsake you! You just need to have faith! Elisha, servant got up early that morning, and he looked, he saw that they were surrounded by the enemy. And just like some of us, we panic at the first thing we see. The servant said “master, we are surrounded now what are we going to do? He panicked and was like, Master what are we going to do?” But God!  Elisha’s answer is everything, he said, “Don’t be afraid, for those who are with us far outweigh those that are with them. Then Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened to see what he has just said! And when the servant looked again, he saw! Today I am praying for you, that God would open up your eyes and you will see what the Father is showing you, that you are surrounded by Him and His Covering and that nothing can harm you!

You must align yourself with God every day, and you will be victorious, even if it looks like you are surrounded the first time you look, close your eyes and pray and then look again. You are surrounded by God, His horses and Chariots! This is what happens when you are aligned with Him, you out number your enemy! God cares about you; every single detail of your life is important to Him. You don’t have to try to figure it out, God done already worked it out! Today, whatever battle seems to be in front of you, that you can actually see with your physical eyes, it’s time to operate in your faith and ask God to let you see in the spirit that He has you and that battle surrounded and you will not be defeated, you will be victorious in Jesus Name! God has already given us everything we need to fight and win. You are surrounded by the Lord and His army always outnumbers the enemy!!!

What and how you see makes all the difference in the world. God is always working behind the scenes on your behalf. Today, say bye-bye fear, depression, worry and doubt! Now look again in faith and see what your eyes see now! Do you see what God sees? The Word of God should be more real to you than anything with our natural eyes! When you feel like you are surrounded by the enemy, see yourself with your regular vision and then with your faith vision (it’s like you have two pairs of glasses, one for inside and for outside and you have to switch them based on where you are at.) So, when it looks like you are surrounded, put on your faith vision, and see what God sees, see that His process and plan works! There is more to it than you see, look again!

Let’s Pray:
Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. I believe that You are working behind the scenes even when I can’t see it. Father m, I offer You my worship and praise today. Father, teach me and show me how to see what You see. Father help me to live and see today with spiritual eyes. Help me to be on guard with all of my armor and Your Word today, teach me how to extinguish the enemy word with Your Word. Father, help me to walk in holiness and purity and obedience to You in the power of You Spirit as I proclaim Your gospel. Father, I choose to keep believing, I choose to look again until I see every promise fulfilled, God, I desire to trust You with all of my heart. Help me to rest in knowing that You are working on everything on my behalf in spite of how my situation looks to me. I will look again and be victorious. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Going To Be A Bright Day!

Proverbs 4:18 NLT ~ “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”

Have you ever watched the sun rise early in the morning? It is truly one of the most stunning and glorious moments of the beauty and majesty of God’s Glory! If this scripture doesn’t describe exactly what God is saying, I don’t know how to help you see it! This scripture plainly shows us two things, it’s an observation and a promise from God’s Word.  The first gleam of dawn is the foretaste of the day’s coming brightness. As the day goes by, the light gets brighter and brighter until it brushes full day of light!

Have you ever heard the expression, “there is light at the end of the tunnel.”  Well, when you are with Jesus, your light is at the beginning of your day and the closer you walk with Him the brighter it gets! As followers of the One and Only True Living God you are on the path to a righteous journey and victory! And remember as you journey through this life you will experience sometimes when the light may seem dim when you are going through a trial, but be encouraged, that trial is temporary!

Run with the light God gives you! For you are without excuse. Romans 1:18-21, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, [19] because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. [20] For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, [21] because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.” You cannot rebel against God and think it’s okay, God will give you over to perpetual ignorance.

Solomon in all his wisdom tried to warn his son about the path of the wicked, he told him not to enter it or pass by it; he told him to avoid it at all costs. He told him this even after giving him instructions on righteous living. He told him that the path of the wicked leads to darkness and deception. The Word of God made sure that you are without excuse for living a righteous life, He has made His truth available to you through His Word! God is Sovereign and He will bless good men and He will punish bad men, (your choice on who you want to be)! This Proverb declares, He will provide a shining light to reveal more and more of His truth, as you obey what He has already revealed. There is an incentive to obeying all the truth that you are shown. God will either bless your obedience with more light or judge your disobedience by taking away the light you think you have, Luke 8:18, “Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.” Take heed, dear sons and daughters, take heed!

How does a perfect day begin? It begins with a glow in the east, which has left the blackness of the night, now the darkness gives way, as the glorious sun rises from the horizon and drives away all remains of the night, and as the day goes, the skies light increase and intensifies until everything is bright and clear as the noonday sun shines. Your Father, has poured out His blessing on your path today and He will shine more and more in you, as you walk humbly with Him, Micah 6:8, “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” Let me tell you this one thing, this light is not the same as the sun that shines, so don’t get them mixed up, (for God does let the sun shines on the evil and the good, Matthew 5:45), this light is for the path of the just, it is not for the unjust. God’s light is not for those who don’t believe in Him nor serve Him. For His light brings wisdom and understanding, for the just man who follows God’s perfect will, way and plan!

So many people say that they know the Word of God and yet they reject it every day for the love of self and what feels good to the flesh. This is why Solomon warned you over and over again in proverbs, he wanted you to be attentive to instructions of God and to obey it. (Proverbs 1:23, 8:32-33, 10:17, 12:1, 28:9 and 29:1). For the consequences of disobeying God are severe! This is why God taught you these lessons so that you would know who was speaking to you. John 7:16-18, Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. [17] If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. [18] He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.”

The consequences on your soul, depend on how you react to God’s Word today. If you continue to choose your own way, the LORD of heaven will blind you. But, if you humbly submit to His Word, He will bless you with light and truth on your path, just like the first gleam of dawn, shining brighter and brighter till the full light of day has rested upon you!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Father, as I walk in righteousness today, I will also walk in Your light.  I know that I live in a world that is full of darkness and surrounded by the enemy’s presence, but I do know that I am to walk by faith and to keep my eyes fixed on You! Father with Your help and strength I will persevere, and I will overcome as I strive ahead to my eternal reward. Father, You are the only light in this world, You are the beginning, middle and You will be the end, the Light of this world and You will lead me to the Promised Land and oh what a Glorious Day that will be! And I know until that time comes, I must keep my eyes on You, the Author and Finisher of my heart. For as I keep my eyes on You, You will shine brighter and brighter in this world as I stay in Your Word. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! The Battle Is The Lord’s, Not Yours!

On February 7, 2015, God gave me this word and today I believe that someone who is reading this now, needs to hear this!

2 Chronicles 20:3-4, 15 NIV~ “Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. [4] The people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him. He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

Have you ever tried to fight a battle that wasn’t yours to fight? To stay strong in these last days, you are going to have to know what is and what isn’t your battle. You need to ask questions like, what am I supposed to do, and what is God supposed to do? God is the only one who can really change impossible situations.

“This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” You do not have to fight this battle. Position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. He is with you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Tomorrow, go out to face them, for the Lord is with you. “Then Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord to worship Him. Then the Levites from the sons of Hohathites and the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel shouting in a loud voice.” (2 Chronicles 20:17-19).

“As they were about to go out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, ‘Hear me, Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be established; believe in His prophets, and you will succeed.’ Then he consulted with the people and appointed some to sing for the Lord and some to praise the splendor of His holiness. When they went out in front of the armed forces, they kept singing: ‘Give thanks to the Lord, for His faithful love endures forever.’ The moment they began their shouts and praises, the Lord set an ambush against the Ammonites, Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir and those who came to fight against (you) Judah, and they were defeated.” (2 Chronicles 20:20-22).

Our God specializes in hopeless cases, overwhelming odds, and impossibilities. He is absolutely amazing. And if the odds are too close that a man may be given the glory, He lessens them so that it is an absolute undeniable victory for Him. For some of you, you have seen God move in such a way. Your back was against the wall, no hope for victory, the chips were down and then somehow, some way, the Lord came shining through and rescued me. For those of you who haven’t experienced that, you will at some point if you will just seek Him. Jehoshaphat had to seek the Lord and acknowledge His dependence on the Him. He simply said, “I don’t know what to do but I do have enough sense to look to You Lord for Help!”

These are the things from today’s reading that I believe you can utilize in your own life when faced with overpowering issues:
1. Admit that you can’t.
2. Acknowledge that He can.
3. Go ahead and set in your
spirit that the manifestation of victory will begin when you let Gods take care of your enemies.
4. Start praising, singing and shouting to God like you know
He’s already caused you to prevail, because He has. Come on, get this joy deep down in your spirit! Pray Psalm 21:1-13!

I want to encourage you for the rest of this year to pray and to believe with all that is within you to make room for the One with the greatest Power of all, Jesus Christ. Put high expectancy on His ability to move and change things. See Him as the One with the Power to bring change, to bring deliverance, to bring healing, to provide financial blessing, and to bring comfort and confidence to your heart so you can trust Him to fight your battle!

Let’s Pray:
Lord God, thank You for sending me Your Word. Lord, I pray to have an exorbitant amount of faith. I pray to have a song in the night. I pray to always have the sense to seek You and know that You are faithful and well able to conquer whatever problems I may be facing. Thank You for being my provider, and for meeting my every need according to your riches in Christ Jesus. Father when I am weak and at a loss for words and don’t know what to pray for, I Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that understands my groans that are too deep for words. And Thank You Father for taking my heavy burden and grief away, Thank You for Your Grace and Mercy. Father, Thank You for Your peace and comfort, in You I find my shelter, for You are Most High God and I’m taking my position, and I will stand still, and see the Salvation of the Lord and I will be victorious because of You. Today, I seek the fullness of Your promises and I feel Your peace covering over me right now as I am praying to You. Father I truly believe that You are with me and that You will never ever leave me, I honor and love You God. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Stirring Time!

2 Timothy 1:6-7 NKJV ~ “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. [7] For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

Paul wrote to his mentee Timothy while he was in prison waiting to be executed. He had a few things that he needed Timothy to know before his death.  Paul knew Timothy and he knew what he was going to face as a servant of God, he wanted to lay a good solid foundation down for him. It is good to have someone that you can count on to encourage you in the Lord.

Let’s look at what stir up means in Greek? According to Strong’s Concordance 2042 it means to arouse, the kindling of a fire. Part of Speech: Verb, erethizó Phonetic Spelling: (er-eth-id’ zo).

What does “to stir up” really mean? I can remember cooking with my grandmother, and she would put everything in the pot together and then she would pull out a big spoon and start to stir, she would say, you have to stir it up so that everything can mix together and taste good. Think about this, you are making some fresh lemonade and when pour the sugar into it, it goes straight to the bottom and if you were to taste it, it would probably be sour, but all you have to do is give it a good stirring, mixing it all together, it will sweeten the whole pitcher and now the purpose has been fulfill and now you can drink the lemonade! It’s so good and sweet!

The gift of God is likened to a fire. If it is not constantly maintained and fed, it will die out. You have to keep your gifts stirred up so that they are not hidden or that they don’t disappear! You have to fan the flames of your faith by continuing to keep in step with the Holy Spirit and by following the Holy Spirits direction in every area of your life. Galatians 5:25. As you position yourself as a servant of God, you will need strong people with you, those that have lived the life that you are now walking. Follow those that you know that you know are following Jesus Christ, that you may be sharpened by them. The Word does say, iron sharpens iron. “Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine, and learn from those who follow our example” (Philippians 3:17). Who has served as a pattern for your life? Who helps you to keep the flames going! It’s like when you are barbecuing, one coal cannot stay lit for a long time by itself, just like you, you can’t do it alone! You need your gifts stirred up!

How do you stir up your gifts?

You stir up your gift by using the gift that God gave you. No more desiring other people’s gifts, you’re is enough!

You stir up the gift through godly discipline, which produces the fruit of the spirit. It envelops God’s nature in your life. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23,

You stir up your gift by We keep the gift ablaze by not letting our spiritual selves grow cold or, worse, lukewarm, as the church in Laodicean, had become Revelation 3:15-16.

You stir up the gift by not quenching or neglecting the Spirit of God, but allowing Him to thrive you like a living, blazing fire 1 Thessalonians 5:19.

You cannot neglect the gift of God in you, that means you have to walk in it daily. You must be, you’ve got to be grounded and settled in the faith and you must be persistent in your prayer life, hold on tight, and don’t let it go. You must also watch. Stay awake. Be focused and specific, not vague. You must also be consistent and instant in prayer! You have received a gift from God, to use, to serve others with all of your strength and energy give to you through God. The work you do, and the work that you are going to do is not your reward, but for God’s Glory! You should serve with all your heart!

Let’s Pray:

Father, You are great and highly to be praised. Your greatness is unsearchable. You are my strength and shield. My heart trusts in You, I give You thanks for every good and perfect gift that is from above and from You, my Father. For the gifts and the calling You gave me are irrevocable. You gave me a special gift through Jesus Christ’s generosity. “When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people.” You gave some to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers so that God’s people will be equipped to do Your work and build up the body of Christ so that we will be mature in the Lord. Therefore, when I remember You, I shall stir up the gift that You put in me. I ask You to bless me with the spiritual gifts so that I may use them to help others. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Zealous One!

Good Morning Zealous One!

1 Kings 19:10 NIV ~ “He replied, “I have been very zealous for the LORD God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.”

As a Christian being zealous should be one of your characteristics. Jesus reminded us that, “for whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” Matthew 16:24-26.  As sons and daughters of the Most-High God, you should be totally aware that God has given you what you need to live a righteous life and be in right standing with Him. The Word of God teaches you how-to walk-in spirit and in truth, God gave you the greatest teacher to learn from and follow, He gave you Jesus Christ! Everything that you need is in Him and He is in you as travel on this journey called life!

When you are zealous for God, you understand the cost of following Jesus, (picking up your cross daily, Luke 9:23-25), you have to be fully committed to following Him anyway. Are you truly committed to God’s way of doing things, not your own, are you eager to embrace all that Christ wants to do in your life, even when that means you have to surrender or sacrifice what you want. What are you willing to sacrifice for your relationship with your Father?  I Peter 3:13-17 ~ “Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.”

You are to believe God’s Word and trust Him especially in these troublesome times so that you may live godly lives in Jesus Christ. As a child of God, the peace of God is already permanently dwelling in your heart, an all you have to do is live your life as God’s Word says, because it was designed for you before you were formed (Jeremiah 1:5) and He breathed on you and the Word came alive in you! Just remember that when you are tempted to think that you are the only one remaining faithful to a task, remember that you are not alone. God is always with you, and he is faithful to provide coworkers to join you in following him. Don’t give in to self-pity; it will only dilute the good you are doing. Be assured that even if you don’t know who they are, others are faithfully obeying God and fulfilling their duties. Today, be mindful that there is nothing or no one that can harm you and nothing can separate you from God and from the eternal promises that are yours in Jesus Christ your Savior!

Let’s Pray:

Father, Thank You for loving me, thank You for choosing me. Father I choose to follow You with my whole heart today and every day, picking up my cross daily to serve You and only You. Father thank You for leading me to other disciples that desire to follow You like myself, may we do a great work for You. Father help me as I will not lean to our own understanding, but I will trust and acknowledge You in all my ways. Father Thank You for showing and reminding me that nothing can harm or destroy me because I’m Your child. Father, I pray that I may continue to be zealous and live as You have showed and told me to do. My heart’s desire is to earnestly seek after that which is good, and to praise and worship you, in Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Yes, Jesus Loves You!

1 John 3:18 (NLT) ~ “Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.”

It’s easy to know the right thing to say and to do, but it’s another thing all together to actually follow through with it, there becomes a disconnect between us not doing and doing the right thing.

Our verse today says that we shouldn’t just say that we love others for the sake of saying it, I mean it does sound good when we hear someone say they love us, and when we say it to others, but it needs to be followed up with action like Jesus Christ did; not just words, we need actions to go after the words. Do you know that you are a child of the Most-High God, He is the Sovereign God of our universe, and He absolutely and positively loves you!

As His child has anyone said to you today that they love you? If not, get this one thing in your spirit and hold on to it forever, God loves you unconditionally and there nothing like it or can ever be compared to the love of God! Rejoice in this today, again I say rejoice in the love of God! 1 John 4:7-8, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

Your life should reflect the love of God towards others, don’t just say the right things at the right time and in the right places for others, but live out God’s love in a big way every day because God is love! Whatever you do in word or deed, do it in the Name of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Child of God, you can rest in the fact and knowledge that your Lord and Savior loves you in spite of you, He displayed His love for you and me, while we were yet sinners, God loves you!

Let’s Pray:
Father, I believe in You, and I know that You love me. You proved Your love over 2,000 years ago by dying on an old rugged cross, and I thank You God. I thank You for not staying there, but in 3 days You got up just for me, now that’s Love! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, and Thank You Lord for loving and saving me. Father I love You and the boundless love that You show me every day. You don’t just say You love me in words, but You showed me Your unconditional love by suffering and dying for me and my sins.  Father, teach me to love others the way You desire, fill me with Your love that I may daily serve You and others as a reflection of Your love on the inside of me, do it God like only You can, in Jesus Christ Name I pray.  Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Have You Told God About It?

Philippians 4:6-7,19 NIV ~ “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [7] And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. [19] And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

I want you to look at these two scenarios in your life. First, has there ever been a time that you were unsure about some things in your life? Well, you don’t have to wait another day to figure it out on your own. Position your heart in the right place of humility, and then ask God to help you and once you’ve have done this, asked and trust that God is directing you.

Second, if you know you’ve taken a wrong path, you can seek God for direction instead of looking to the world for answers. As you take steps to follow and obey God’s voice, He will lovingly show you the way. You see both of these scenarios require you to do the same thing to have a great expected in, you have to go to God and ask Him! So, have you done that yet?

There are so many times that you have second-guessed a decision because you were uncomfortable and tried to figure it out all by yourself. And now you have learned that you have to follow God’s way so that you don’t make another wrong move. You want to be wondering where you supposed to be doing or doing that, you will be able to do exactly what He said, because you asked Him and He responded!

You have been told time and time again in the Word of God to tell Him what you need. And day after you have tried to get around it, there is no way around God! You and me, need to follow this command faithfully by presenting your request to God daily and to not be anxious for anything, trusting and believing that He will take care of everything! And while you wait, don’t lose heart, stop praying for one thing and then assuming that God is not going to answer you, stop being contradictory of what you are praying for! You are to always pray, Luke 18:1, “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. You have to keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.  Matthew 7:7.

Today, I want you to delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4. As you delight yourself in the Lord, you won’t over think it or become overcomplicated. It will be what God intended for your prayer life. It’s in this place that you get to the root of a thing, you are communicating with your Father, and you do know that the root of communication is commune, and this simply means to talk with intensity and intimacy; and to interchange thoughts and feelings with someone else on a consistent basis. One day I realized that I used to be missing that in my prayer life, consistency, when I started to be consistent my way of praying changed! When I began to be consistent in prayer, prayer became the most important part of my life, and I knew who I was telling all about it!

Your prayers don’t have to sound right or be polished or well put together to be effective. God is just inviting you to have a little talk with Him, about anything that is on your heart. The more you include Him in on the small things, the easier it is to include Him in on the big things. You can talk with Him just like you have a conversation with your friend, God just wants to hear from you. Just bring your whole honest heart to Him. He already delights in you, and He’s willing to listen. Start with what comes to your heart and mind first. There’s no better time to pray than right now. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  And my God will meet all of your needs according to the riches of His Glory in Christ Jesus!

Let’s Pray:

Thank You Father. Thank You! Father, You know my every need and when I draw close to You in prayer, I trust and believe that You hear me and my hearts desires. Father. Help me to not be anxious for anything and to trust and believe in You. Father, I am bringing everything to You in prayer, my relationships, my finances, my emotions, my physical and spiritual needs. Father, help to me remember that I can cry out to You in every situation, big and small and You will delight in me coming to You. For I long for the moments when I can commune with You and You commune with me. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
