Good Morning Sunshine! You Have Pass To The Other Side, To Get Your Promise!

Mark 4:35-39 AMP ~ “On that [same] day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side [of the Sea of Galilee].” [36] So leaving the crowd, they took Him with them, just as He was, in the boat. And other boats were with Him. [37] And a fierce windstorm began to blow, and waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was already being swamped. [38] But Jesus was in the stern, asleep [with His head] on the [sailor’s leather] cushion. And they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are about to die?” [39] And He got up and [sternly] rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still (muzzled)!” And the wind died down [as if it had grown weary] and there was [at once] a great calm [a perfect peacefulness].”

Every one that will read this devotion has a different opinion on what a storm is in your life. I read an article and the called it “Storm Theology.” It means, what you believe about God when storms come into your life. What and how do you handle storms when they come into your life? Do you see God as a good God or a bad God? What do you pray for when you are going through the storm? Do you see God as caring or uncaring based on how He answers you?

There are four things that storms do when they come into your life. First, they can happen suddenly; secondly, they will bring to the surface what’s really on the inside of you; thirdly, they will teach you about you and do you live by fear or by faith. Storms will reveal to you if your heart is full of the trust that you proclaim that you have in God. Or if you need to do better! And fourthly, they will teach you about God and His Power. Only Jesus can rebuke the wind and said to the waves, to be silent and still and they obey immediately, and calmness comes over the waters! Who wouldn’t want to serve a God like this?

The way you react to God during your storm will tell you the truth about who you really are, whether you want to know or not! The truth will surface in the storm! How bad do you want the promise? Are you willing to follow Jesus at all costs? Sometimes Jesus Christ will call you to come to the other side while the wind is blowing, and the windstorms are rising and the waves are beating the boat (and you)! Don’t worry God is in the process of getting you across to the other side, just go ahead and follow Him, He won’t let you down or drown, He got you!

You do know that the enemy does not want you to get through this thing that you are going through, he likes to see you in the storm and the wind blowing and beating on you, and he will do everything he can to keep you in this place, and I mean he will do any and everything to keep you from reaching the other side! Now he doesn’t mind you showing up to church, singing in the choir or serving on the deacon/deaconess board or being an usher, he just doesn’t want you to reach your God ordained destiny, period!

Be encouraged today, because what’s waiting for you on the other side is worth every single thing that you are toiling and going through in this present moment! Getting to the other side is going to change the trajectory of your life! The best days of your life on the other side of obedience and then you will be able to stand and say, if it had not been for the Lord who was on my side where would I be! But Thanks be unto God, you are going to cross over, and these two words should forever be on your mind, in your heart and on your lips: Obey God!

For this is how you will cross over, this is how you will survive, this is how you will live, by Obeying God! Every day, of every hour, of every minute and every second, Obedience is better than Sacrifice and you win every time you choose to Obey and Follow God! Storms will stretch you to your full capacity and they will increase your faith in God.  I want you to keep this is in mind as you think about storms, either headed into a storm, in the middle of a storm, and coming out of one. God wants you to learn from your storms. God is teaching you something about Himself, for it’s in the crossing over to the other side, that a paradigm shift will take place and show you who Jesus really is and how He will take care of you in your storms, so ride the waves and listen to God!

Let’s Pray:

Father, Thank You for another day! Father it’s me again calling on You and trusting You to lead the way! Father, teach and train me to follow You in all things, especially in those instructions that don’t make sense to my natural mind, give me the strength to deny myself and what I think or feel and follow You to the other side, for I know that You have greater for me over there. Father, help me today, to not lean on my understanding but to trust and acknowledge You in everything. Father, please take my hand and lead me to where you want me to be, I’m Your willing vessel and I trust You and I Thank You for crossing me over to the other side! In Christ Jesus Name. Amen!

Blessings…

Love, Minister Jean

Good Morning Sunshine! Be Constant! Be Consistent! Be Confident!

Romans 12:12 AMP ~ “constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength]”

Every day say this to yourself, it will keep you in a place of hope! Hope in God! Let the hope that you have in God, help you to be in constant and consistent in your prayer life!
Let the hope that you have in God causes you to live your life with great joy on the inside of you regardless of trials and circumstances that take place around you!

God’s promise is your sure foundation and the reason why you should have hope! Let your hope in God be stronger than anything that you are not sure about! Let the hope you have in Him be stronger than all of your fears. Let the hope you have in God propel you to rejoice! God wants to hear from your heart today.  He wants to spend time with you, consistent time, not a drive bye or a quick minute, He wants time!

Today, if you are going through a rough season, give yourself some grace, for God has given you some. The Word says, “be patient in tribulation!” I know this is a difficult and different season that you are walking in, but be patient with yourself in this tribulation, it’s making you better. I know this is easier said than done, but you can do it with God’s help, trust it. Trust the Process of God! He’s in control, He can handle it, and remember His timing is not yours, His timing is perfect, and He does not make errors or mistakes, His plan is perfect! You can rest in God’s sovereignty and power! Just take it to God in prayer!

Be constant in your prayer life! So many times, we go hours into our day without stopping to pray to God, especially if things are going well, but let something happen, you can’t move quick enough to get on your knees in prayer. That is not constant prayer, that’s just going to Him because you have an urgent need or want!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying don’t go to Him in prayer when you have a need, you are supposed to go to Him at all  times, but be consistent and constant in your prayer life which means you are with Him 24/7, and this is every season of your life, because the truth of the matter is when you are not constant in your prayers, you are missing out on the connection with your Father, and this is where your confidence lives!

You have been given the best gift ever, the ability to communicate with the God of this universe, there is nothing between you and Him but you! Surrender your will for His Will and take full advantage of this wonderful privilege that you have been given. No other thing that God created has this gift, but you do! Become constant and consistent, connected and confident in your prayer life and watch how you blossom!

Let’s Pray:
Father, today I’m pressing into You like never before, increase Your joy and hope in me. Lord give me more patience in my tribulations.  Father, draw me into a deeper prayer life with You, and deepen my desires to talk with You all throughout my day! In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine, Welcome To A New Monday!

2 Corinthians 4:13-14 ~ “It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, [14] because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself.”

Numbers 6:25-26 ~  “The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: [26] The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”

It’s a brand-new day, the Monday after Resurrection Sunday, it’s a Monday that you have never seen before, sure you have seen other Monday’s before, but not this one, April 1, 2024, and you will never see this same day again! Now what are you going to do on this brand-new day? You do know that thing that bothered you yesterday, is gone, it didn’t follow you into today, for His Mercy and Peace is New every day, and for proof of your new day, He is going to shine His countenance upon you because He got up and now you can get up! Because He Rose, you can rise up into this new and beautiful day!

It’s a new morning, Easter is now past, I’m sure that you experienced a great Easter Sunday. So, what does the Resurrection of Jesus Christ mean to your day-to-day life? So many people will move on from Easter and see Monday as another ordinary day, unaware of the significance of all that you heard the previous day. Do you want to know why I say this, it’s because of what you do. You will pick up on Monday, where you left off on Thursday, you continue to fight sin in your own strength, and you think the meaning of life lies somewhere outside God’s provision in Christ and battle a nagging fear of death. The resurrection fades into the noise of your life making no discernible impact. Let’s not make the same mistake again this Monday.

Praise God, for today for Jesus Power, Sovereignty and Authority over death has taken place, Thank You! Thank Him for saving your soul. He gave you the greatest gift ever given (II Corinthians 9:15), the gift of salvation and an everlasting relationship with your Almighty God. Today, your new grace and new mercy will help you accomplish what you need to accomplish, and today will be your best day ever! For God says don’t worry about tomorrow for it will take care of itself, (Matthew 6:34), just concentrate on today and have faith in Him! He got you!

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ gives you hope! It’s what oxygen is for your lungs, and hope is the meaning of for your life. As the human organism is dependent on oxygen, so is your life dependent on its supply for hope! Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten you again into a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. There is Hope! Your hope is not in your own ability, or in your goodness, or in your physical strength, but your hope is instilled into you by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ!

Because of what Jesus did on yesterday, you should have hope for a better today and tomorrow. I want you to know this one thing, Jesus’ face is shining upon you, and He will be gracious to you, He will lift up His countenance upon you and give thee peace.”

Let’s Pray:
Father, thank You! Father, this morning I will put all my trust and confidence in You. Father my hope is in You, you are my Resurrected Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! May I never despair, as I remember Your triumph and love and gift of hope! Father, I pray that You will accomplish Your purpose in me today. Father, thank You for Your Grace and Mercy today. Thank You for never giving up on me and being consistent and constant. Father, please continue the good work that You have begun in me for Your Glory, for I know that Your Word and love will last long after this day because it’s never ending or changing, Your love is forever! In the Name of Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! God Is Your Strength!

Isaiah 12:2 ~ “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.”

Have you ever been tired and had to lean against something or someone till you got your strength back to keep moving? Well God knows this, and He is aware of everything that has tried to overwhelm you, He knows when you are weary and weak, He knows when you are in trouble and need relief, and He knows when you need someone to lean on!

Let Go! Let God! Let it Flow! Just fall into your Father’s Everlasting Arms, He got you! Did you let go? If you did, He caught you, you are safe and secure in His Arms! You do know that His Word says that the whole world is in His Hands, (Psalm 24:1-2) so that should encourage you to know that He can catch and hold you and everything that concerns you! God got you!

Let the Word of the Lord soak into your mind, heart and spirit that you are His. God created you, formed you, redeemed you, saved you, covers you, delivers you, keeps you, sustains you, protects you, heals you, provides for you, calls you by name and kindles His spirit within you. God has you on every side, you are His and don’t forget it!

Do you feel any better? God is there to help you, He’s waiting on you to take His hand, He spoke so clearly when He said, “Wait on Him”, He’s coming to renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31) and make you whole, after leaning on God you will be able to stand, walk, run, and not be tired or weary, God is your Leaning Post, To God Be The Glory!

Lord, when I think about our Father’s Hands and Arms and how He so tenderly catches us with those strong arms, I get excited! We can just lean on our Father and you don’t have to be in a hurry, you can tarry in that place! Deuteronomy 33:27a NIV ~ “The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.”

My grandmother use to sing, I’m leaning on Jesus, and she would tell me one day, by and by that I’m going to understand it. Now in the by and by I got it! “I’m Leaning on the Everlasting Arms,” was written by Anthony Johnson Showalter in 1887.

Here are the lyrics, let’s make this our worship song and prayer today.

Can’t you hear it, “What a fellowship, what a joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, Leaning on the everlasting arms. You are Safe and secure from all alarms; Leaning, leaning, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, Leaning on the everlasting arms; Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day, Leaning on the everlasting arms. What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms? I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms!”

Today, you can just Lean on Your Father and when you do, you will be secure on your right, left, front, back, top and bottom, you are fully secure and can’t no enemy get you out of His Hands! You are secured leaning on your Heavenly Father!

Let’s Pray:

Father, Thank You. Today, I’m leaning on and in Your Everlasting Arms! Father You are my strength and in You lives everything that I need. Father, I am putting all of my trust in You. I just can’t stop thanking you! Father, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You and Thank You! If I had 10,000 tongues it wouldn’t be enough to Thank You for all that You have done, is doing and will do for me. Father, I’m grateful and I want the world to know that I’m going to serve You till the day I die! Father, I know that as I stay in Your Word, I will always be secure in Your Arms! In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Embrace The Shift!

If you can see it, you can believe it! The Shift has caused you to Change, and the Change has caused you to be Transformed in the process! This is a you and God and moment!

Matthew 6:6 MSG ~ “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will Shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.”

There are three words that I want to focus on today:

  1. The definition of the word Shift means: to change a place, position, or direction for another place, to Change.
  2. The definition of the word Change means: to give a different position, course, or direction, to make a shift from one position to another, to Transform.
  3. The word Transform means: to make a shift from one place, to a make radically different Change.

These three words are connected, they are interchangeable, you cannot do one without the other being present. However, what will manifested from them is different, for each one of you. The Shift is designed to move you and the Change is designed to Transform you, which gives you your Transformation! For there is no way that you can have a true encounter with God and remain your same old self and still be doing the same old thing, (2 Corinthians 5:17)!

It’s time for the Shift! It’s time for the Change! It’s time for the Transformation! You know it yourself; something has got to change! Something has got to give! It can’t keep on going like this! You can’t keep going like this! These two words, Shift and Change were put on my mind 2 years ago and today God brought them back again! Shift Change! Today my sisters and brothers, I heard this clearly last night your Transformation is taking place during the “Shift Change!”

Think about all of the different seasons that you have been through; didn’t you learn more when you were down than when you were up! Seek God and ask Him what you are to learn in the season that you are in? What areas of your life do you still need to change, to shift and to develop in before God can transform you and release you into the next dimension in your life?  God is needing your perspective to change, not your will but Thy Will be done, needs to be your mindset. It’s during this time and transfer that God wants you to count it all joy! (James 1:2) I know you may feel a little uncomfortable with what you are experiencing, it may even be painful, but it is all working together for your good (Romans 8:28)! Growing pains are never pleasant, but you will emerge from this season victorious! Trust the process and keep the faith!

These shifts and changes are equipping you for the destiny that God has laid out for you, and you cannot circumvent the process; stop trying to go around your wilderness (Psalm 119:71) in fact you should be embracing the shift!  “God is Transforming you in the Shift” and It’s time for you to let go and follow where God wants you to go, it’s Shift Change Time! Think about those that work in plants/hospitals, they have different shifts and the end of their shift, they clock out and someone else clocks in! It’s time for you to clock out of some places and people and clock into your new shift! Don’t worry, if you have missed it before, God is bringing it back to you. So, it doesn’t matter how long it has taken you, you can be assured that God has ordained your next move, you just need faith to push through, your shift is connected to the change that your faith makes today!

Don’t fear the Shift Change! Surrender to the Change! Trust the Process of God! Have Faith! Go deeper into the place of worship, where the human in you collides with the Holy Spirit in you to bring about God’s desired transformation in you! God never changes, He has never changed His mind or plan (Jeremiah 1:5) for you, He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, (Hebrews 13:8)! It’s you that needs the Shift Change for the transformation to take place! This is your year of release! You are getting ready to go to the next level, embrace the Change, go with the flow of the Shift and the Transformation is inevitable! Trust and Believe God! Your focus has Shifted from you to God! Embrace It!

Let’s Pray:

Father, Thank You! Thank You for shifting me, changing me and transforming me into the person that You desire. Father help me to embrace change with an open heart and give me the flexibility to adapt and the resilience to thrive in my new circumstances. Thank you for the opportunities that change has brought into my life. “God, make me strong and courageous in this new undertaking. Let me not be afraid or discouraged, knowing that as You were with Joshua so you will be with me wherever I go.” Joshua 1:9! Father, give me the desire to embrace the change and to walk in the transformation that You ordained before I was formed, Jeremiah 1:5! Father, thank You for everything, I’m totally sold out to You and Your Way and Will.  “Father God, please grant that whatever I do, whether in word or deed, I may do it wholeheartedly, in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to You through Him.” Colossians 3:23! In the Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Going To Happen In The Transfer!

Job 8:7 NIV ~ “Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.”

Right now, it may seem like your life is insignificant, but you just maintain your faithfulness and when you come out on the other end, you will receive your blessings!

The enemy wants you to look at your situation and only see where you are right now, he wants you to get burdened down by things that you have not done yet, or things that you need to work on but are currently lacking the resources to do it. He wants to keep reminding you of what wrong in your life! He wants you to be depressed and distracted, focusing on all things negative instead of the blessings that God has already given you, the blessings that He continues to give you, and the blessings yet to come!

Remember, in His Word, God has promised never to leave you nor forsake you, (Deuteronomy 31:8)! He has sent the Holy Spirit as The Comforter, for you (John 14:26)! And He has given His Angels charge over you (Psalm 91:11-12) to minister to your needs in the supernatural realm! God is removing you from your comfort zones, places that are stunting your growth! God is Relieving you from this place of complacency because if you don’t transfer now, you are never going to be who He created you to be (Jeremiah 1:5)!

It’s going to happen in the Transfer! In this transfer you are going to have to relinquish some things and people! You have got to let go! I know it’s hard, but everyone is not equipped to go where God is taking you. You see when people are not able to draw on the level you have to give, their destiny is hindered and yours can be halted for a minute. It is time for you to let go of anything or anybody that is keeping you from living up to your God given potential and seeing your destiny manifest (2 Corinthians 5:17)! It’s time to release the old and embrace the new!

God has hand-picked you for such a time as this (Matthew 22:14, “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”) You have been Graced for where God is taking you! As you read last week’s devotional you are closer than you realize to your breakthrough, you just have to keep pushing, keep plowing, and keep praising and keep praying! The transfer God has for you is going to require you to walk boldly, Joshua 1:9! Put your faith in action and position yourself for the outpour of blessings that are coming your way! For you come from a long line of royalty, act like you know who you are, 1 Peter 2:9!

You have read and maybe experienced some of the things that Job went through, and I know that you saw the end result, Job was blessed with much more than he originally had (and he was already prosperous before God allowed the devil to test him)! Job questioned God, but never doubted or cursed him. Can you say the same thing? In the end, Job continued to thank and praise God, he never waiver in his faith and belief in who God was! I believe that this is how we ought to be. We may not understand why we are going through something, but we should understand that no matter what it is, the Scripture tells us that He will never give us more than we can bear. 1 Corinthians 10:13! I also believe that the greater your tests, the greater the testimony and the greater your rewards will be at the end!

Remember, God is making a transfer on your behalf today and your latter days are going to be greater! God is opening a window of blessings in your life and it’s happening in the transfer, you just need to be prepared Job 8:7!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father for the Transfer, the test and the Testimony and the Blessing and Rewards! Father I will remain faithful in this process, for I know that all things will work out for me because You love me! In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! You Are Stronger Than You Know! So, Don’t Stop Just Keep It Moving!

Job 17:9 NIV ~ “The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger.”

Keep it moving! Remain clean, remain faithful and remain strong, for the suffering that you are enduring right now is temporary, for it is producing in you strength and character! I want you to know that you are not just suffering to be suffering as one would do without hope, you have hope in your risen Savior! 1 Peter 1:3-6! I love this quote by Billy Graham, “For the believer there is hope beyond the grave, because Jesus Christ has opened the door to heaven for us by His death and resurrection.”

As a believer and child of God, you have chosen to follow God’s will, even if it means that you might suffer for a little while! As the righteous one, you will hold to His way, for this is to show you that your suffering is producing your strength. You do remember the Apostle Paul, he suffered with a thorn in his flesh, because it was part of God’s journey for his life. He asked God three times to remove that thorn, but God made it clear to him that it was part of His purpose and plan! 2 Cor. 12:7–9! He didn’t move it, but God Graced him to live through it! He’s doing the same thing for you too!

You have to Embrace the Process and see what you are going through, through God’s eyes and perspective. You have to trust the process of God, and you do that by keeping your hands and heart clean before Him. “Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23-25! You have to cling to what you know! And you know the Word of God! When it seems like you are going through the hardest test, it’s exactly when your faith in God is needed the most.  It’s during this time that you will be reminded of your hope that you are clinging to in Jesus Christ! In this tough season all you can do is hold fast to what you know, and you know Jesus Christ!

If you have missed anything, just repent and ask God for help you and remember that you serve a faithful and loving God, whose Grace is always sufficient for what you are needing! I want you to be like Paul and accept it and continue serving, even when it’s hard, still serve! God will give you the strength to keep it moving when you trust Him! And be mindful that you are only responsible for your actions, you are not responsible for what anyone else does. Because when you go and stand before Him, it will just be you and Him and you won’t be able to blame anyone else for what you did or didn’t do, you just need to do what God called you to do!

The sooner you realize that God is in control and not you, the better off you will be in life, and just know that what you are going through is temporary, it’s almost over, hang on for a little while longer, He got you! You just stay clean and keep your heart right, (this means keeping your eyes, mouth and mind off it) for your strength lives in focusing on Him! Embrace the good that God has brought through your adversity, for you are strong and getting stronger! So, keep doing the right thing so that you won’t have any regrets, keep moving forward and remember God’s Word above all else, “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong! (2 Cor. 12:10)!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You! Father create in me a clean heart and give me Your Strength and Power to continue moving forward. Father, help me to keep my hands and heart clean and to walk in love in all my ways. Father, I’m standing on Your Word, and I will not waver, I will hold fast to my confession that You are Lord and Savior over my life. Father, I Thank You for Your unchanging Hands, and for always holding me by my hand as I stay the course to the end, for You are faithful and my hope is in You. Father, help me to lean and depend on You and not my own way or understanding but to trust all Your Words and Ways for my life. Father help me to embrace each season that I walk through and know that Your Grace is sufficient! Therefore Father, I will do as Your Word says, I will take pleasure in my infirmities, in my needs, in my persecutions, in my distresses, for Your sake, for when I am weak, then I am strong because You said so, and I believe it and that settles it! In Jesus Christ Marvelous Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! You Are Being Enlightened!

How do you find your calling? You just simply pray to God every day to open your eyes of understanding!

Ephesians 1:18-19 KJV ~ “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, [19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.”

Have you ever wondered what’s the next step in your life?

Re-read today’s verses, it’s telling you that God is calling you and that should inspire you and give you hope for your future, to know that your Father is calling you and has secured your inheritance. Because God has called you, you don’t have to wonder about your life, just know that His great power is at work in you!

There are three things I want you to do today:

First, I want you to have hope in what God has called you to do!

Secondly, I want you to know and understand the place that you are in right now is God’s plan and that you are not your own, you belong to Him!

Thirdly, I want you to recognize His Power that is at work in your life and that His Power is transforming you into what He called you to be and His Power is going to enable you to complete whatever assignment He gives you!

Your Father is enlightening you and all you need to do is pray and put all your hope in Him, this is your sure inheritance!

Let’s Pray:
Father, I pray that the eyes of my understanding and heart be opened and enlightened.  I thank You for the exceedingly great things that You are going to do for me today. I thank You for Your amazing Power that is at work in me and I have put all of my hope in You! Nothing else matters except for You and what You want! Everything is for Your Glory. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Are You Living Or, Are You Alive?

Job 14:14 NKJV ~ “If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes.”

Suffering interrupted Job’s life and pain was interwoven into him and I can only imagine him asking this question, if only I could die and live again? The waves of suffering and mourning was washing over him, but he was determined to hang on to his faith, despite the questions and doubts, he still believed in God!

Most times you the believer experiences suffering, we can go through an extensive list of questions to ask and to be asked. It’s hard to explain that much pain at one time. I mean it’s one thing to have one life altering thing, but it’s another thing when everything is going on at the same time! Pain on top of pain! But I want you to be encouraged and keep your hope in the one that can make a difference, be still under your Father’s everlasting arms. He will not let you go; He will not let you go! If Job, who lived before Jesus Christ was resurrected and have this kind of hope, how much more should you have hope? You can be sure of this one thing; your destiny is set and when you believe in the Risen Savior Jesus Christ!

Job saw death as the end of life as he knew it, yet he held out for hope, that there is life after death. A lot of young people and some old ones too, believe that you only live once and sometimes they will lead reckless lives like nothing else matters. But I’m here to tell you, that you will live again, it’s your choice, heaven or hell! Job went on to say, in 19:26-27, “And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, [27] Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!” Job had confidence and belief that he would see God!

Are you really a believer? Do you believe that now you live on this side of Jesus Christ death and resurrection, but one day you will die, but if you believe you will live again with Jesus! In the Word Jesus taught us He is the Resurrection and the Life and if you believe in Him, you will live again with Him, even after you physically die, (John 11:25)! After you die, you will see God with your own eyes. The good news is this, if you know Him when you die, you will spend eternity in His Presence! This is the reward that you get, and the blessing of being with Him in Glory is far beyond anything else that you can imagine! Today, is the day and time to choose who you will serve, (man or God, Matthew 6:24) and where you want to spend eternity, (heaven or hell, Matthew 25:46). Nobody can make this decision for you, but you and you must do it while the blood is still running warm in your veins and your heart is still beating! You don’t have as much time as you think! Choose this day and choose wisely, (Joshua 24:15), you can be here this morning and be gone the next minute. My question to you is where do you want to spend eternity?

Let’s Pray:
Father Thank You! Father I pray for Your blessings upon us as we spread the Gospel, as I tell somebody about You today. Father, I need You, we need You, the body of Christ need You, the children need You, our families need You, this world needs You, we all need to know that we will live again and that we need to decide and the obey what Your Word tells us. Father, help us to become disciplined disciples for You. Father, today I give over my control, whatever hardship, storm or suffering that I may be going through I relinquish it unto You because I have hope in You! Father, I know that You gave Your life that I might I experience life to the fullest. I know that You see me and my heart and You know my intentions. Father, I stretch my hand to Thee for there is no other help, I will lift up my eyes to the hills, for in You I know that all of my help and strength comes from You! Father, I Thank You for keeping me and helping me to stand firm on You and Your Word without wavering or fear! Father, I Thank You for comforting me and giving me peace! Thank You for raising Your darling Son Jesus Christ up, to show me that there is life after death and that when I believe that I too can truly live before death and after. I’m living now to live again and I’m looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith, that I may have eternal life, that I may live again in eternity with You! In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ! Amen!

Good Morning Well One!

Philippians 4:6-7 AMP ~ “Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. [7] And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].”

As I re-read the devotional from yesterday, I thought about how often we worry about stuff, even after we said that we have put it in the Hands of God, it’s still in the back of our minds! God has told us to not worry, He Got you all day long! Matthew 6:31-34, “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (NIV)

You have a choice, you can worry, or you can wait, and wait well by resting in the Arms of Jesus! When you are resting in the knowledge of what the Lord has done, you are resting well and letting God handle the rest! I mean what is it to worry anyway, it’s a place where you have allowed your mind to dwell on what you are going through or what you think that you might go through! Yea, I know that your concerns may be real, you feel like day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute that this or that is going on and everything is in pieces? But I want you to know that you have a choice whether or not to dwell on the pieces or give them up to God!

Did you really read and get an understanding of the first line of this scripture, “don’t be anxious for anything, but take everything to God in prayer.” It’s in your time of prayer that you thank Him, and you give Him all your request and then you wait in Him and His peace will allow you to wait and wait well! The question is do you want to be in Peace or pieces? Today, release your pieces to the One who can give you Peace! When you release your pieces into the Hands of the Master, He gives you Peace!  (Judges 6:24)

In doing this, it keeps you from being anxious and it gives you something else to do, it keeps your head and heart busy, and it keeps your hands still and steady in prayer, Psalm 37:7a, “Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act.” The bottom line is this, you can pray! Learning how to wait in God takes discipline, you have to be disciplined to be still and to stand firm, (put your armor on, Ephesians 6:13) and the discipline of taking your concern to your Father, means that you will learn how to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)! As often and as necessary it is, it will change the work of worry into the work of rest!

I know it may seem hard to rest while you wait, but it can be done with the help of the good Lord! When you feel that anxiousness trying to rise up in you, turn to prayer, call on the Name of Jesus, it will remind you of what’s most important in that moment! The time that you wasted worrying did you no good at all! But the time you spent in prayer did much for you, spiritually, physically and emotionally! It’s all in the choice that you make, your choice to worry or to wait well and to have peace of mind. I hope and pray that today when you are faced with the option, that you choose to wait well, to wait in and on God!

It’s during your difficult times that your life can seem like it’s a bunch of puzzle pieces that you are trying to put together and you can’t seem to figure out what piece goes where! Just know that God, knows every single thing and He knows exactly where every piece goes, you don’t have to force any piece in a place that it doesn’t fit! God has insight for every word in every chapter of the story He’s writing about your life.

Start right where you are today; ask the Lord to help you release each piece that has been on your mind and to add to your story that has already been written by Him. He knows where each one of you are at and what you are dealing with. He wants you to receive His Perfect Peace! He is the eternal God who sees the end from the beginning and does nothing without purpose. Just know however God moves is still better than anything that you could do, trust Him with the outcome, He knows better than you!

You want to get well and stay well, put your faith, trust and hope in Jesus Christ, for He is the only One that can give you sweet rest while you wait, and He will give you His peace as a covering, Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” God knows you, “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.” Isaiah 46:10!

Let’s Pray:
Father Thank You, Thank You for another day! Father, help me to have patience and to not be anxious for anything. Help me to have discipline to wait in You and on You. Father, help me to learn how to wait well. Father help me know what to do and when to do it. Father I choose to rest in You and not work and worry about what I have no control over. Father I am giving everything over to you, for You can handle it better than me. Father I’m giving you my pieces today in exchange for Your peace! Father I will wait on You, and I have put all of my hopes and trust in You! Father, please put a guard over my lips today that I may not whine while I wait, but that I will wait and wait well for my expected outcome in You. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
