Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) ~ “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
God’s Mercies are new every morning and each day has enough Mercy in it for that day! There is something deeply comforting about waking up each morning and knowing that God’s Mercy is brand new. Yesterday’s mistakes, shortcomings, and failures do not disqualify you from His love for you today.
His mercy isn’t something you earn; it is a gift freely given to you because of His unwavering love for you. When you stumble, God’s mercy lifts up! When you feel unworthy, His Grace is there to covers you! The beauty of His Mercy is that it meets you exactly where you are, but it never leaves you unchanged! You are changed because of and by the Mercy of God!
Consider the life of King David, a man after God’s own heart who also made grave mistakes, adultery, deception, even murder. Yet, in Psalm 51, David cries out, “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.” God’s response to David wasn’t condemnation but forgiveness and restoration. This same mercy is available to you today. No sin is too great, no heart too broken, that God’s mercy cannot heal and restore!
Today, think about your life, has God shown you mercy to you? Do you remember His promises? How often have you sinned, disobeyed God, forgot about His Word and went your own way? And yet, in spite of this, God still showed His Mercy towards you, He didn’t give you what you deserved, He had Mercy on you! Now, it’s your turn to have mercy, yes, they failed, and fell short, but you have too, the Word of God says, “all have come short”, (Romans 3:23) but God still kept you, He sustained, protected, and blessed you!
Living in the Mercy of God calls you not just to receive His grace but to extend it to others. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 5:7, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” As recipients of such divine compassion, we are invited to reflect that mercy in our relationships. Whether it’s forgiving a friend, showing patience with a family member, or extending grace to a stranger, you are to mirroring God’s heart when act mercifully. In doing so, you not only draw closer to God, but you also become a vessel of His Grace and Mercy in a world that desperately needs it!
Remember that God loves you in spite of you, and you can depend on Him at all times! Put and keep your trust in the only One that can give you Grace and Mercy! Today, and every day you need to Praise Him and Thank Him for His Mercy, after all His Mercy endures forever and ever. Trust Him, surrender your life to Him and commit your ways to lifetime of serving Him, it’s for your good and His Glory! Please don’t take God and His Grace and Mercy for granted! Have you shown mercy to anybody?
Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Father, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for Your endless Mercy towards me. Thank You for loving me in my imperfections, for seeing beyond my mistakes, and for offering me the Grace that I could never earn. Your Word says Your mercies are new every morning, and I hold onto that promise today. No matter what I faced yesterday, whether it was failure, regret, or pain, I trust that today, You have given me a fresh start. Father, I confess my sins and shortcomings to You, for You are the only One that can forgive me and cleanse me. Help me to walk in the freedom that Your Mercy provides. Remind me that I am not defined by my past but by Your love and Grace. Father teach me to see myself through Your eyes, as redeemed, restored, and beloved. Father, I am asking You to please cultivate a merciful heart within me, to extend grace to those who have hurt me, to forgive as I have been forgiven, and to show compassion to those who are struggling. Father, let me be a reflection of Your Mercy in every interaction that I partake in today. May my life testify to the goodness of a God who never gives up on His children. Thank You for Your unfailing love, Lord. I surrender my heart to You today and every day. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!
Blessings…
Love, Minister Jean
