Good Morning Sunshine! Praise Your Way Through!

Psalm 100:4 NIV ~ “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”

There are No Restrictions in God when you praise your way through! Your Praise needs to be intentional! You praise God, He does not praise you! Praise is your acknowledgement of His Power, Authority, Wisdom and Sovereignty! Praise is you telling others about how good God has been and is to you! Praise does not require a response from the one who is being praised. Praise is something that you can do by yourself, or with others. But Worship is something altogether different, it’s between you God!

Praise precedes worship! Worship is relational, for it is not only your communion with God, but it is also His time of communion with you! The Hebrew word for “Worship” is “Shaha.”  It means to “bow low” or to “prostrate” oneself.  Worship involves our bowing low before the Lord, not only physically, but in your hearts as well. The Greek word for “Worship” is “Proskyneo.” This word means “to kiss the hand of one who is revered.” Will you bow down today and offer a kiss to God?

It’s a very precious moment when your soul quiets down and God begins speaking and you begin to listen to what He is saying! The more time you spend worshiping Him in your spirits the more intimate your relationship, and friendship with Him becomes! Think about what it means to be the kind of person with whom God wants to spend time. What does it do to your heart when you realize that God wants to spend time with you in worship? A sense of holiness and awe should excite you and those who worship in the spirit and it should draw you closer to Him!

Worshiping in the spirit is relational. Jesus makes it clear that God is seeking out true worshipers. Paul wrote, “I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.” 1 Corinthians 14:15. Worship is a two-way flow, God wants to be with you, and you want to be with God! Listening for God to speak is one of the most dynamic dimensions of worship that you will encounter! It is life changing. This weekend, spend some quality time with God in Worship and see what happens to you and in you. Psalm 86:12 KJV ~ “I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.”

Praise your way through! Whatever it is that you may be going through, praise your way through, praise your way through the process. I’m learning that there is a process that I go through when I am in pain, and that same pain makes me praise God differently, it is in the process of praise that He reveals Himself to you in a new and amazing way, that can only come from Praise and Worship and being in His Presence!

As you praise your way through today enjoy every moment of worship, this keeps you connected to God’s heart, He absolutely loves it when His children praise and worship Him. As you praise Him today, know that His love is covering you and everything that you are concerned about and everything that you are connected to.

As you praise your way through today uninhibitedly, fix and focus your entire being on Him and see His love and grace growing deeper and deeper in you and making you trust Him all the more!!! “Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong. Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.” Ecclesiastes 5:1-2. Praise your way through!

Thank You Father! Today I’m going to praise You for Your marvelous wonders. I thank You for this brand new day of prayer and praises. I will bless Your name at all times, and my lips will speak of Your works. I will praise You, Father, for I know for this is where my help and strength comes from. “I call upon of God, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.” “Be exalted, O Lord, in Your strength! I will sing and praise Your power.” “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff” they comfort me in the Name of Jesus Christ!

Good Morning Sunshine! Does Your Hallelujah Belong To God?

Psalm 145:1-6 ERV ~ “I will tell of your greatness, my God and King. I will praise your name forever and ever. [2] I will praise you every day. I will praise your name forever and ever. [3] The LORD is great and deserves all our praise! No one can fully understand his greatness! [4] Each generation will praise you and tell the next generation about the great things you do. [5] Your majesty and glory are wonderful. I will tell about your miracles. [6] People will tell about the amazing things you do, and I will tell everyone how great you are.”

Last night as I was on the prayer line, the woman of God said her Hallelujah belongs to God! Does your Hallelujah belong to God? Who are you sharing your story with of what the Lord has done for you? “Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.” Psalm 147:5. God knows, sees and hears everything and everywhere at all times! God’s greatness is unsearchable! Obedience is a command to make known God’s mighty deeds to all, and it is also a great privilege! 

David pledged to bless God every single day and to praise His Holy Name because of His unsearchable greatness! Do you really believe that God’s greatness will endure forever and that every generation will see and praise God for who He is! The greatness of God is all about His sovereignty and His compassion, kindness, forgiveness, provision, protection, grace, and mercy towards those who look to Him! Can’t nobody do this for you but God! 

I will praise God because He deserves it! God deserves your love, your adoration, your devotion, your praise, your worship, your obedience, and your everything! And just to help you out, the praise that you are offering to God needs to be share with generation that is coming behind you! Tell someone about God and Jesus, (His Story) then you need to tell someone about Jesus and what He has done for you, (your story). You need to pay your praise forward!

God not only deserves your praises to Him; but He deserves your praises of Him to all that is around you, from one generation to the next, as you tell the stories about your family that you continue to pass down, you need to make sure that you are telling greatest story ever of God’s goodness and greatness for you and your family! 

Today, make a commitment to God, that you will praise the Lord and proclaim His greatness towards you forever! For, The Lord is Great and Greatly to be Praised! God deserves all of your praise! There is a song by JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, “You Deserve It” it simply says, “My hallelujah belongs to You. All of the glory belongs to You. And, You deserve it!” Please listen to it and let your praise for God rise to the top! 

Let’s Pray:

Thank You Father! My Hallelujah belongs to You! Father, You all of my praise and worship, You deserve it!  You deserve my adoration and obedience! Father, help me to worship You with all our heart, and to declare Your praises from one generation to the next! Father, help me to grow closer to You and to have a more intimate relationship with You. Father, I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Father, bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Father, I know that it is not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) and this shall happen. For it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. Father, I pray that everything that You are doing for me, that You will do the same for all those I love, care about. Father, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord for coming to my rescue as I praise You. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Are You A True Worshiper?

John 4:23-24 ~ “But the hour is coming and is now here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

So many times, we are just going through the motions, not here nor there. But today I want you to put your emotions to the side and truly worship God! There is no audience, there is only One and His Name is Jesus! He’s waiting on you! Your authentic self, no pretense, no pretending. God is seeking those who will worship Him in Spirit and Truth! Let’s see what a true worshiper really is, and everything is that it’s not!

Are you a true worshiper or an emotional worshiper? If you are a believer, then you should be a true worshiper. For you don’t worship first in your body but you worship in the spirit. True worship is not based on how you feel about God, it’s based on what you know about God! The act of worship is not an outward expression, but it is an inward attitude that acknowledges that God is worthy to be praised and He deserves all the Honor and Glory due His Name as He the supreme authority over your life.

A true worshiper shows adoration for an audience of One! You are not concerned about being seen or heard by others. A true worshiper is on concerned with pleasing God and letting Him know that you know how Excellent He is. A true worshiper exalts God alone, for His pleasure only, because He alone is worthy to be praised! Jesus stated that true worshipers are those who worship in truth, in honesty and in sincerity of heart. (What is the posture of your heart?)

Do you know and believe that the Lord is Excellent? For the Word says, “O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.” Psalm 8:1! How excellent is your Name! Worship the Lord in all His Splendor today! He has blessed you with another beautiful, blessed day. When He touched you this morning and you arose to a brand-new day, did you say, “Thank You?” Do you see the dawning of a new day, the sun, “The Son” is shining brightly? God created everything around you as a gift for you! The beauty of this day is just for you, the sun and the rain, the grass and the trees, the birds and the bees, the fields and flowers and the people around you, is His gift of love to be enjoyed by you!

True worshipers are believers “born of the Spirit.” So, ask yourself this question, have you been born again? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Do you love Him? John 3:3-8, you must be, you’ve got to be born of the Spirit, for this is the only way that you can worship Him in the Spirit! If you know Him, you will follow Him and you will know His voice over every other noise that you hear today? John 10:1-5! As a true worshiper you live to worship God, not in the flesh in but the Spirit, because God’s Spirit lives on the inside of you and you belong to Jesus Christ!

To worship God in spirit and in truth, is to declare that God is worthy of your reverence. When your worship to God is based on the truth of who He is, it reveals the truth of who you are at your core of your heart, and it inclines you to be surrendered to Him and in total submission to Him and His Ways! When you are a true worshiper of God your attitudes, actions, and words declare that He is worthy of your praise. “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” Revelations 5:12!

As you worship God today, His Anointing and Favor and Wisdom and Peace and Power and Love is reign down from heaven above just for you! Now, what are you going to do to show God that you appreciate this day, these precious moments in time? You should offer Him your worship and praise, no matter what comes your way today, it’s still a beautiful day, because He allow you to be here, somebody didn’t get this gift today! For the time is now when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. So be grateful for another day to bask and to worship your Father in all His Excellency today! For He inhabits the praises of His children, and that is you!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! My Heavenly Father, I worship You and adore You with my whole heart, mind soul and strength. I love You, Almighty God, there is none like You. I give You praise for You are my righteousness. Father, fill me today with Your Holy Spirit! Father, I bless Your Name for cleansing my soul with Your Blood, my soul cries Glory Hallelujah and Thank You Jesus for being the Lamb! Father, guard my mind and put Your sweet savor on my lips, that I will speak what You tell me. Let Your healing virtue flow through my body and organs today and let them function the way You designed it! Thank You for shielding and sustaining me with Your joyful peace, in the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Not Too Late!

Isaiah 61:1-3 ~”The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; [2] To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, [3] To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”

Today, if you are here and reading this devotion, that means God has awaken you to a new day and has given you breath; so, that means it’s not too late for Him to give you beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, and praise instead of despair!  It is not too late to change your story. It is not too late for Him to turn your mourning into dancing, pull off your sackcloth, and put on your clothe of gladness (Psalm 30:11)! God has given you a promise, He has given you the garment of praise for your spirit of heaviness! It works like this, Praise Him! Praising Him is like looking into a magnifying glass, the longer you focus on what you are looking at the bigger it gets! Through praise and worship, you are reminded that your God is bigger than any situation that you face! Praise is the key to problem-solving because it gets your focus on God, the problem solver. When you worship God, you can forget all about your cares and you can get a glimpse of what Heaven will be like, Oh, Magnify the Lord and Exalt His Name!

Remember, what He did for you before, now know what He can do for you today, it’s not too late to have hope, it’s not lost, it’s not too late for God to intervene in your situation! It is not too late for you to enjoy divine favor like Mephibosheth, David told him, “Do not fear, for I will show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and I will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually” (2 Samuel 9:7)! Nobody knew how long Mephibosheth had lived in Lo-Debar before David brought him back to Jerusalem and showered on him favor. Some people thought that he was going to die there, (some people thought that you were going to die in Lo-Debar, (the place of nothingness) you may have even thought this will never end, but don’t give up on God. Hang in there, He will see you through!) You will eat from the King’s Table! It’s never too late for God to change your story. Whatever the situation you are in right now, don’t worry, it is not too late for you to experience the change, praise for heaviness and dancing instead of mourning is your portion!

Today, instead of taking a coffee or tea break, take a Praise Break! Praise God for His grace, guidance and goodness and then recall how good He’s been to you! So go ahead and change your garments, take off the spirit of heaviness and put on your Garments of Praise and Worship Him and see just what He does!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Father, I believe in Your promises and put all of my trust in You. I am blessed because I believe and there will be a fulfillment of the things which You have promised me Jesus Christ Name. Father, today, I claim victory over every doubt and distraction that tries to come my way today, and I will praise You! I’m pulling off my sackcloth and I’m putting on Your gladness, as my strength and my place of peace. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!!!
