Good Morning Sunshine! You Can Find God In Your Silence And Stillness If You Only Be Still!

Psalm 46:10 NIV ~ “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

I want to tell you a story about a young woman who visited the lake and heard whispers! “One crisp autumn morning, the young lady went and sat alone by the edge of a still lake. Life had overwhelmed her, deadlines at work, family issues, friends versus foes, and mounting of other worries about the future encamped around her. She did not go to the lake for answers but to simply escape the chaos she was facing. The world around her became still and quiet, except for the rustle of leaves and the faint ripple of water as a breeze passed through. She closed her eyes, and for the first time in months, she stopped striving, no planning, no problem-solving, just stillness.

In that silence, her heart began to stir. A verse she hadn’t read in years came to mind: “Be still, and know that I am God.” As she reflected on those words, she felt a peace she couldn’t explain. It was as if God’s presence met her in that sacred stillness, filling her with the assurance that she wasn’t alone. The burdens that seemed insurmountable moments earlier now felt lighter. She left the lake that day knowing this: God often speaks in stillness and silence. Sometimes you can be consumed by the noise of life that you miss His voice, but when you pause and sit with Him in silence, He reminds you of His sovereignty and unchanging love for you! All you had to do was be silent and still! Take a Pause Break!”

In this fast pace of life, it’s so easy to miss God’s Voice, or drown it out by the constant noise around you. Yet, this Scripture tells you that God often speaks in stillness and silence! Psalm 46:10 is a call not only to physical stillness but also to an inner posture of trust and surrender. It’s an invitation for you to cease striving and to rest in the knowledge of God’s sovereignty. Stillness and silence create the space that you need to encounter God and to hear His voice clearly. Elijah had to learn that God’s Presence and Voice isn’t always found in loud and dramatic displays, but in a small gentle whisper. 1 Kings 19:11–12, and the same thing is true for you today, God speaks not through chaos but in the quietness of your heart!

Jesus Himself modeled the importance of retreating into stillness. Luke 5:16 tells us, “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” Though surrounded by crowds and demands, Jesus intentionally sought solitude to commune with the Father. In the same way, you need to create space for stillness in your own life, for when you silence the noise, your hearts become receptive to the Voice of God’s Spirit! Hearing God in stillness requires you to intentionally practice this. It means that you need to find a quiet place, eliminating distractions, and focusing on His Presence, (put your phone on silent and focus!) It is about surrendering your agenda and allowing God to take the lead in the conversation. In Isaiah 30:15 Stillness is not passive; it is a place of spiritual renewal. It is a perfect reminder, “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.” Resting in God doesn’t diminish you but rather restores you, enabling you to face life’s challenges with renewed faith and courage. It is in those moments, that you invite God to reveal Himself in ways you might miss amid the noise.

To hear God in stillness and silence, begin by preparing your heart through prayer. Invite God to quiet your thoughts, surrender your worries, and guide you into His Presence. Seek out a space free of distractions, whether it’s a quiet room, a peaceful corner outdoors, or even your car. Silence external noise to create an atmosphere of stillness, where your focus remains solely on Him. Meditate on the Word of God to guide your thoughts and allow passages like Psalm 23 or Philippians 4:6–7 to stir up your spirit! Listening for God’s Voice takes patience, so as you pray and reflect, pause to simply sit in silence, and wait for Him to move! God will respond with the peace that surpasses all understanding, (Isaiah 26:3) a reminder through His Word, or a prompting in your spirit. Be intentional in your walk and experience, noting impressions or Scripture that God brings to your heart. Finally, surrender your expectations. Trust that God speaks in His timing and His way, and that even moments of perceived silence is working to deepen your faith in God!

So, I have a question for you, how often do you pause to listen for God in the midst of life’s demands? Your silence is not a wasted moment but a sacred invitation to hear God’s heart and experience His peace. Take a moment to reflect on your daily routines. Are you carving out time to intentionally connect with God, or do distractions dominate your attention? God desires to meet you in the quiet spaces of your life, where the noise is stripped away, and His Presence becomes undeniable. Let stillness transform your perspective and remind you of the strength, guidance, and assurance God provides in His Whispers, His Silence! Take a Pause Break to remind yourself to take those moments to pause and breathe when your emotions overwhelm you. Allow yourself to rest, to regaining your peace and strength with each and every breath, it’s time for you to exhale!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You! Thank You for quieting me down that I may hear You in my silence and stillness in the midst of life’s noise, teach me to seek stillness. Help me to quiet my heart and sit at Your feet, trusting that You will meet me in silence. Open my ears to hear Your gentle whisper and my heart to receive Your wisdom. Lord, forgive me for the times I’ve been too busy to listen and too distracted to rest. Teach me to surrender my worries to You, knowing that You fight my battles as I remain still. Fill my spirit with Your peace and renew my strength in Your Presence. Let my moments of stillness transform me, draw me closer to Your heart, and guide me in the steps You want me to take. May I rest in the assurance that Your love surrounds me, and Your purpose is being fulfilled in my life. Thank You for always speaking, even when I am slow to listen. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! First Things First, Seek God In Prayer!

Matthew 6:33 ~ “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

First things First! Imagine you’re on a flight, and the safety briefing begins. The flight attendant explains that in the event of an emergency, oxygen masks will drop from above. They emphasize a crucial rule: “Put your own mask on first before assisting anyone else.” At first, this might seem selfish, especially if you’re traveling with children or loved ones. But the logic is simple, if you don’t secure your oxygen, you’ll quickly become unable to help anyone at all. This principle is a powerful metaphor for life, before you can effectively serve or support others, you must first take care of your own well-being. For Christians, this means prioritizing time with God through prayer, ensuring you’re spiritually strong and ready to pour into others.

Matthew 6:33, is the perfect alignment for this, you must first be aligned with God in prayer first, before you can engage someone else! In this scripture, Jesus teaches that your primary focus should always be on God, seeking His kingdom (His Will, Ways and Purpose) and His righteousness (a right relationship with Him). When you make God your first priority through prayer and obedience, He promises to provide everything that you need.

Just as a passenger must secure their oxygen mask before helping others, this verse serves as a reminder that you cannot effectively face life’s challenges or serve others until you have sought God first. Prayer allows you to realign your heart with His Will, and filling you with the peace, wisdom, and provision He promises. By prioritizing time with Him daily, you trust that God will equip you to handle life’s demands and care for those around you. Seeking His kingdom through prayer is the foundation for living a life of overflow, blessing, and purpose.

“In case of emergency, put on your oxygen mask first. Then help those around you.” This is a vital reminder that you can’t help those around you if you are not receiving what you need to breathe and function. Similarly, in your spiritual walk, prayer is your “Oxygen Mask”, it connects you to God’s life-giving power and equips you to serve others. Jesus modeled the importance of prayer throughout His ministry as the Son of God, He frequently withdrew to pray and refresh His spirit. In Luke 5:16, we read, “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” If Jesus needed this time with the Father, how much more do you need it?

When life becomes overwhelming, you may feel tempted to pour all your energy into helping others or solving their problems. Yet, it’s easy to let busyness, fear, or guilt prevent you from prioritizing prayer. But if you neglect your time in prayer, you will be left empty and depleted. Philippians 4:6-7 tells you of the power of prayer, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

When you take the proper time to “put on your oxygen mask” through prayer, God will fill you with what you need to help others. Today, prioritize your prayer time. Don’t rush past it or treat it as an afterthought. Let it become the foundation of your day, ensuring that you’re spiritually “breathing” in the life that God gave you. When you’re connected to Him, you’ll be better able to help and encourage others. Think of your prayer life as refilling your spiritual tank and you can’t run on fumes, you need gas to keep going!

Through prayer, God will pour His wisdom, into your life. And Prayer isn’t about perfect words or a fixed schedule, but it’s about coming to God as you are, no matter the time or place. When you cultivate a consistent prayer life, you’ll find yourself strengthened, renewed, and ready to bless those around you. When your spiritual Oxygen Mask is on, something miraculous happens, God uses your life to overflow into others. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13!

I know that the world is full of people gasping for hope, direction, and love. But you can’t offer them what you haven’t first received. Just as passengers can only assist their neighbor after their oxygen mask is secured, you must first let God fill you before you can pour into others. Don’t feel guilty for taking time to prioritize your spiritual health it’s essential for bearing fruit in every area of your life. You need to practice and know what to do first before you can lead someone else to do it! Practice being in His Presence through Prayer. Here are steps to putting your Oxygen Mask on through Prayer:

  1. Set a Daily Time – Whether in the morning, during lunch, or at night, choose a specific time to connect with God through prayer. Consistency builds strength.
  2. Pray with Honesty – God doesn’t need fancy words. Speak openly about your worries, joys, and struggles, and trust Him to meet you where you are.
  3. Listen in Stillness – Prayer isn’t just about talking—it’s also about listening. Pause to allow the Holy Spirit to whisper direction, comfort, and wisdom into your heart.
  4. Pray Through Scripture – Use verses like Philippians 4:6-7 or Psalm 46:10 (“Be still, and know that I am God”) as a guide for your prayers, letting God’s Word shape your time with Him.
  5. Pray for Others – As you refill your spiritual tank, lift others up to God. Ask Him to meet their needs and use you as a vessel for encouragement and support.

Reflect on how your life might change if you prioritized prayer and make it a priority and a part of your daily life. Consider whether you’ve been trying to help others while feeling spiritually depleted, because you neglected your own time with God. Are you rushing through tasks and responsibilities, or are you pausing to seek His guidance and renewal first? Prayer isn’t just about meeting your needs, it’s the foundation that allows you to be a blessing to those around you. Think about how consistent time in prayer could provide you with everything that you need to navigate through your daily life challenges and how what you do in prayer or what you didn’t do overflow into the lives of others. Let what flows out of you come from the overflow of your time with God in prayer! Seek Him first and watch what happens to you next!

Let’s Pray:

Thank You Father, Thank You for being my source of strength, wisdom, and peace. Your Word says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). You also remind me in Psalm 46:10 to, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Father, in the busyness and demands of life, teach me to pause and come to You first, trusting that You will provide for every need and guide my steps according to Your perfect Will. Father, remind me to come to You first in prayer, just as I would put on an oxygen mask before helping others. Father, help me to make prayer my top priority and my foundation. Like Jesus, who often withdrew to pray (Luke 5:16), may I seek those moments of stillness with You so that I can be refreshed and renewed. Remind me, Father, that apart from You, I can do nothing (John 15:5), but when I remain connected to You, I can bear much fruit. Father, help me to not be anxious for anything, but to wait and trust You, and to bring every prayer and petition to You with thanksgiving in my heart, Philippians 4:6-7. Father You said, in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” So, I’m calling You for no one else can do me like You. Father, may Your peace that transcends all understanding  guard my heart and your mind in You. Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and strengthen my faith so I can trust in Your timing and provision as I prioritize You, help me to live out Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Father May I become a light to those around me. May my time with You overflow into acts of love, encouragement, and service to others. Give me eyes to see the needs of those around me and a heart ready to respond. Thank You, Father, for being my constant source of life, guidance, and strength. Teach me each day to put first things first, seeking You in prayer before anything else. May my life bring You glory in all I do. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Praying Time On This Thanksgiving Day!

Matthew 6:9 ~ “Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.”

It’s Praying Time! This is how you should pray: this manner, therefore, pray: “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On Earth as it is in heaven. Gives us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.”

We may not always agree on everything, but what we do agree with is that Prayer strengthens our bond with God! Today, stop, drop and pray! Pray to your Father, for He knows everything that you stand in need of, He’s just waiting on you to talk with Him about it! Sometimes when we go to God in prayer, it’s because we want Him to do or give us something and when it doesn’t come when you want it, you can feel some type of way! So, what do you do when God doesn’t answer you immediately? You keep praying, you pray without stopping! Remember His Word, Pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18!

The greatest lesson that you can ever have is learning how to pray. Jesus Christ is Your Master instructor, and He wants to teach how to pray so that when life happens you will have a firm foundation to stand on and to build up your faith! When you are faced with difficulties be like Peter and shift your focus to a positive attitude towards God and keep your faith in the God of Abraham who always keeps His promises to you simply because He loves you!

Praying to your Father, is a deliberate act of honoring your Him! It shows that you believe what you stand on, His Word and it shows you Trust your Father with every fiber of your being and that He is in total control! Just know that all things are working together for your good, because you learned how to pray to your Father who is in Heaven!

Let’s Pray:

Father, My Father, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen!” Father, thank You for being my Shepherd, for caring and covering me throughout this day, thank You for protecting and providing for me along my way, thank You for teaching me how to forgive others and love on them as I come to You in prayer! Father, Thank You for filling me with Your Holy Spirit and teaching me how to pray. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! This Is Not The Time To Come Down!

Nehemiah 6:3 NIV ~ “So I sent messengers to them with this reply: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and go down to you?”

First things First! It’s Repentance and Prayer Time! Repentance and Prayer is the mortar that is going to connect your bricks one by one as you rebuild your wall! Brick by brick, you will turn turning away from what has grieved your Father’s heart and it will be done by your fervency for intercessory prayer, to restore the hedge of protection that has been breached!

What Season is this? It is building season, and it’s Time To Rebuild!” God is calling on intercessors to rise in the spirit of the Nehemiah Anointing and to pray and to not cease praying so that the hedge of protection can be rebuilt around your heart, home, ministry, community, state and nation! God is calling on you, who have taken a stand for true stand for God and who refuses to come down from the wall, the one who can discern the enemy’s plan and reject them, and who will complete the assignment that you have been called to complete! God want you to connect with other prayer warriors who are rebuilding and restoring to what the enemy has destroyed. It’s time to Rise Up and Pray! Rise Up and stand in the gap! Rise Up and make up the hedge! God is looking for those who of you who are willing to see His Plan accomplished in the land!

Do you have a heart for the people that are dying in the streets and in their sins? Nehemiah, he had a genuine heart for the people. His interest was born out of love. Is your interest born of concern or curiosity? When really care about someone you want to know all the facts, no matter how hard it may be to face it. There is one sure thing about a “Fact” it doesn’t cease because you ignored it. Do you really want to know the facts? Or do you think it’s going to be a problem for you? Do you really care enough to ask? In this season you cannot close your eyes and ears to the truth of what is happening. When you ignore it, you are making the first step toward tragedy for yourselves as well as for those around you. You need to be like Nehemiah and be ready to face the facts about a situation even when it’s not what you want to see! Think about it this way, you should not just look at your own interest, but also the interests of others!

Has anything that’s been going on in the land caused you to stop and to sit down and weep? Caused you to fast and pray and to stand in the gap for someone else? Nehemiah and his intercessors welted over the condition of the walls, and they mourned for days and then they fasted and prayed before the God of heaven (Neh. 1:4). They went to God in repentance, not for themselves but for the nation. Ask God what He wants you to do. Go to God in prayer, He will give you a plan, process and timeline to complete the task. He will give you directions and what you need to work with. When you seek God on behalf of someone else, His favor shows up for you!

As an intercessor for this project, you will have to face some opposition, but don’t worry God has prepared you for this! There will be unbelievers and believers who will try to distract and or change your course because they don’t understand, they will try to ridicule you because of your stand. Don’t stop, remember they tried Jesus, (Matthew 27:27-31) so you should know that they are going to try you! Keep it moving, keep it pushing! You will have confidence and be confident in the work that you are doing, can’t you hear your Father saying, “Rise Up and Build, for your hands have been strengthened for the good work that you are performing!” Nehemiah was determined to rebuild the walls around Jerusalem. When the Son’s and Daughter’s, (you and me) operate in this spirit, we can rebuild what the enemy has torn down. When Nehemiah rebuilt the wall, there was no gap in it (Neh. 6:1). When you as an intercessor truly stand in the gap for the people and be determined to pray, you will be a part of closing prayer will the gaps in the wall!

As an intercessor you have to be willing to pray day and night, you need a “Nevertheless Mindset”, Nehemiah 4:9, “Nevertheless we prayed to our God, and, because of them, we set up a watch for them day and night.” You have to be consistent and persistent in your prayer life to see the breakthrough and you cannot be afraid to fight in this season! God will grace you to hold your weapon (The Sword of the Spirit, The Word, Ephesians 6:17-20) and your tools at the same time, you can work with one hand and hold your weapon in the other! You will be successful in doing the Lord’s Work! (Nehemiah 4:17-18; 23)! Pray, pray and pray some more, pray until Revival comes and don’t stop praying when it comes. This Revival will turn into a transformed life (Galatians 5:1)! God is calling you into intercession in this season, the warfare is real, but the rewards are even greater from your Father. Stand Up, for the next generation! Who will Rise Up and Rebuild the Walls in Prayer?

Read and study all of Nehemiah, may the Nehemiah Anointing become your daily portion!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You! Today, I’m offering up prayer on your behalf, and I want you to do the same thing for someone else. God has equipped you to be a prayer intercessor and we need to pray for one another as our Father has taught us! And let’s not offer a selfish prayer but, pray that all would come to know Jesus Christ, repent, turn from their wicked ways, surrender to Him, and seek His face daily! Today, I come to You right now on behalf of every one that will see, hear and pray this prayer. First, I repent of all my sins, and I ask You to forgive me, so that the prayer that I’m praying right now will not be hindered but will smell like a sweet incense unto You. Father, I lift up my brothers and sisters to You, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be refresh in there, spirit, soul and body. Father, guide them along the right paths for Your Name’s sake as they stand in the gap and rebuild their walls. I pray that when they walk through the darkest valley, they will fear no evil, for You are with them; Your rod and Your staff will uplift, comfort and bless them, In Jesus Christ Name! Father, I declare peace and joy in the hearts of Your people! I proclaim that You will bless Your children and will keep them; You will make Your face to shine upon them and be gracious to them! I pray against all the plans of the enemy that would try to steal their joy and peace from You! Father, I’m praying everyone that will read this devotional today and all other days, in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit! Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! God’s Got What’s Surrounding You!

2 Kings 6:16-17 NKJV ~ “So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” [17] And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

Sometimes you might feel outmanned and outnumbered, but I want to assure you that you are not! God is surrounding what is surrounding you! Be encouraged!

There was a story of a little girl being bullied at her school and, her big sister told her tomorrow when they come don’t run, so the next day when the bully and her friends came, they circled all around her, and her big sister showed up and stood where the ring leader could see her, she didn’t say a word, she just gave her a look and that said, I dare you to do her anything, is all it took, was that one look and the bully turned around and went away and she never bothered her again!

This is what your Father is doing for you. No one will be able to overpower you, because your Father has your back. God is saying He got you, you just have to stand still and be strong. As Elisha was coming under attack his servant felt overwhelmed about what was surrounding them, but God, Elisha was not worried, nor did he panic. You see when you have things going on, you need to make sure you have the right kind of people in your circle!

There is a song of worship. “This is how I fight my battles. It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by you.” This song is a reminder of what the Power of Praise can do for you! Because Elisha had a direct line to God, and He spoke to him, he could hear what King Aram’s thought and spoke in his bedroom because of God and he would tell the Israelites where and when the assault would come, which led to his defeat. And the king thought he had a traitor amongst him, so he was angry at him and wanted to take him out, his servant was guilty by association as far as he thought, and because the king was so angry with him, he sent army to track Elisha and his servant down, there was going to be no escaping for them, but God, 2 Kings 6:11-12!

Have you felt like Elisha’s and his servant, pressed in on every side by life’s issues? And you just felt like you were fading in the background as you cried out, this is too much for me! It’s tough when you have to start off your day and you can already sense the enemy is trying to surround you, and all of your problems are there too and you cannot solve it nor please the people, it seems like a tough place to be in! Just stop and call on God, for He is already there waiting on you anyway. He said that He would never leave your nor forsake you, and it is time that you believe in what you say, for it is true, you just have to believe that God is there. Yes, I know it can be fearful to admit how you really feel. But trust God, you are telling the One that can help you.

But Elisha had faith, and He told his servant, “‘Don’t be afraid … Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, ‘Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.’ Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha” (2 Kings 6:16-17, NIV). Get connected to a community of believers, who know, and trust God like you do, so that even when it does not look good to the natural eye, you still know that God got you, He has you covered and whatever is surrounding you, that He is surrounding for you because you chose Him!

And that’s how it goes, when you have God, there are more with you than those who are with them. Because Elisha knew that there was power in knowing God, the Lord of Lords, and the King of Kings, his servant’s reality was nothing compared to the unseen reality of God’s heavenly host and His army became the reality that was seen surrounding the enemy’s army. This is what God is doing for you! Elisha didn’t pray for God to send the army; because he knew they were already there! You don’t have to pray for the army of God, He’s already there, you just need to open up your eyes and ask Him to let you see. God’s warring angels on chariots of fire is already in place for you and God will defend you. Elisha didn’t pray for himself; he prayed for his servants’ eyes to be opened that he might be able to see God’s protection all around them and that he didn’t have anything to worry about.

You may never see in the natural God’s angels surrounding what’s surrounding you, but you can trust that God is always there with you now and forever more. God has divine angels destined to help you every day, you just have to open your eyes. For God will always be with you in every situation when you invite Him in. This is what Elisha knew, and he wanted his servant to experience and believe the same thing. Elisha trusted God and prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened. Whose eyes are you praying for today? For God said it from the beginning in Psalm 3:6, “I will not fear though tens of thousands rise up against me on every side.” I’m going to trust you! So, focus your attention on God and not the fear of what you do not see, for when you look again, you will see!

Trust in the power of God, even if you are surrounded by more than 10,000 soldiers, and the odds seem awful, don’t lose hope nor look at your surroundings, fix your eyes on God, for all of your help comes from Him! Ask God to open your eyes to His promises that you may see and that you may see clearly!

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank You! Thank You for always being there, even when I couldn’t see you, I’m grateful! Father as I walk through challenges and struggles in this world, I pray that You will help me to keep my eyes fixed on that which is unseen. Help me to realize that you are with me every step of the way. Father help me to remember all of Your promises that You made to me and that You are a promise keeper. Father help me to remember that this is not my battle! Father, help me to fight with my spiritual weapons, my faith and with Sword of the Spirit, Your Word, and to not cease to pray, praying at all times and for the spreading of the gospel, according to Your Word. Father, Thank You allowing Your angels to surround me and everything that I do today, even when I can’t see clearly with my own eyes, I’m going to I trust your present. Thank You Father, that angels are surrounding whatever is surrounding me. I Thank You, because of you I have no need to fear, for You are my protector. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Shift Change Time! Are You Ready?

Philippians 4:11-13 AMP ~ “Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances. [12] I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need. [13] I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]”

Stop! Breathe! Don’t Panic! God has shifted you into position, you are moving from transition to transformation! God had to shift you from you so that your shift wouldn’t be stopped! God had to shift you so that He could close the wrong doors that you went through, so that you could enter in the right doors, He doesn’t want you to go back through the wrong door again, (and those doors can be a person, place or thing). He doesn’t want you to go back through these same trials again, and I know you may think this detour has derailed you from His plans for you, but let me tell you, the experience was not wasted, for God uses everything for your good, Romans 8:28!

Have you ever felt like you were in the middle of a Shift, and nothing is going like it’s supposed to? I mean you are Praying, spending time in your Word, Fasting, paying your Tithes, Helping Others, Worshiping, Watching and Waiting and doing everything that you are supposed to be doing and still the change has not happened, and nothing is making sense! Don’t Panic, when God starts Shifting you, your whole world will seem like it’s falling apart, and looks like whatever could go wrong is happening, it’s one thing after another, these tests and trials will make you feel like you’re being punished for something that you have no idea about!

Don’t Panic, God is in control, and you are right in the middle of the Shift Change!

God is shifting you into the position that He designed you for and your heart’s desire to align with Him. I know this season may look like a setback right now but it’s a setup for the Promise that you prayed for to your Father! When you have come to the end of yourself and the dust settles down, you will say to, “If God be for me, who can be against me” (Romans 8:31)! It’s in this moment that you will understand why you had to go through what you went through! There is one thing that I have learned that I want to share with you, when you are going through the process, when God is Shifting you, keep people who are not going in the same direction as you on a “Need to Know Basis”! Keep your Shifting Process Private, keep it on the DL, (Divine Low)!

You do remember when the children of Israel needed a victory against Jericho, they had to walk around a wall for seven days in silence, (you have got to learn how to be quiet), they could not say a word, and when they day came, they had to shout for the victory, and the walls fell down! It’s during your silent time that God is refining your shout, Joshua 6:1-5! This time your Victory is going to require your silence! God is saying to you in this Shift Change, you must follow all the instructions exactly like He says, He is putting a period where you had comma and a question mark, there will be no bargaining! Keep your mouth quiet, the victory has already been established for you to win, you got this!

Today, God is shifting you into position for the promise that you prayed for.  Sometimes this shift from God might look chaos, setback and even defeat but trust the process of God, you will see what He was doing in your life when the dust settles, and you will understand it better by and by after you have gone through what you have been through, it was a part of your Shifting and your Anointing!

Let’s Pray:

Father, Thank You! Father, please forgive me for trying to go through things without you, please create in me a clean hear. Father, today I make a conscious decision to Let go and Let God! Thank You for equipping me for this Shift Change, make me ready in every area of my life! Father, I’m ready for this change, I’m tired of going round in circles, I’m ready for the chaos to stop and never return, and I know that I can only do it through You! Father, I Thank You that You are teaching me how to be silent, to change my attitude and that my perception and perspective will align with Your Will for my life that I may live a victorious life! Father, thank You for transforming my mind and cleaning up my vision and hearing concerning my current transition! Father, I trust You, and Your perfect timing to change me during this Shift Change! I will not be moved, nor will I panic, for I can do all things through You Christ Jesus which gives me strength. In the Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen!

Blessings…

Good Morning Sunshine! Who Are You Praying For Today?

Psalm 5:1-3 ERV ~ “LORD, listen to me and understand what I am trying to say. [2] My God and King, listen to my prayer. [3] Every morning, LORD, I lay my gifts before you and look to you for help. And every morning you hear my prayers.”

Today, I want to ask you a very important question, who are you praying for today? Are you praying for the unbelievers? The backsliders? What about those who have never heard about the Gospel? Christian Disciples? Every day you should be praying for somebody! You do know that somebody prayed for you, now it’s your turn to pray for someone else to get to know Jesus Christ!

Your prayers are simply conversations between you and your Father, who loves and adores you. As you enter into the House of Prayer, you will be ushered into a personal conversation with Your Father! God’s House of Prayer is really where you want to be, it’s a place where you will gather together with other believers and come into a prayer of agreement and be on one accord in unity and prayer!

It’s in your commune and time with God that you can hear Him, when you are broken, He fixes you; when you are sick, He heals you; when you are tired,  He comforts you; when you cry, He hears your cry, even the silent ones, and He catches all of your tears; He hears you and He hears every beat of your heart, He does not miss anything that concerns you are anyone that is connected to you.! Your prayers are the heartbeat, and the pulse is His Wind and the Holy Spirit in your life! Every Servant of God has both, His heartbeat and His pulse. There is Power in Prayer! Now all you have to do is believe that the Father’s Will, will be done in you, through you and for you in the Name of Jesus Christ!

Prayer is the most powerful tool that you can have, Prayer changes everything and everyone, everywhere all of the time!

Let’s Pray:
Father, teach me to pray according to Your will and way. Father, today I’m bringing You all of my prayer request and I’m laying them at Your feet in Your house. You are my only help and provision! Father, I pray that the prayers that I’m praying will connect with other believers around the world and that we will see a shift and a change in Your children for Your Glory and their good. I will remain prayerful, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! The Fire On The Altar Must Never Go Out!

Leviticus 6:12-13 AMP ~ “The fire on the altar shall be kept burning; it shall not [be allowed to] go out. The priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and he shall arrange the burnt offering on it and offer the fat portions of the peace offerings up in smoke on it. [13] The fire shall be burning continually on the altar; it shall not [be allowed to] go out.”

God is calling you to put it on the Altar; the place where the fire never goes out! You have work to do! Get up and get at it, you can’t just be sitting around doing nothing, you have more to do than just offer your thoughts, you have got to pray and keep the fire burning! This is your job, to keep the fire on the altar of sacrifice at full blaze! It’s time for you to rekindle the flame that has been diminished.

In order for your fire to burn brightly, everything that’s not like God has to be found, cut, examined and laid on the altar. The ashes and residue have got to be removed and most importantly that fire, God said, “shall not go out.” Just like they had to do to the animals for the sacrifice, we also, must keep that fire burning, that is your ministry to God! We must praise, fast, pray and read His Word in anticipation that the voice of Heaven will break through everything in our minds, and our fire should not be faint it must be a blazing fire!

Don’t allow anything or anyone to stop you from walking with God! Steady yourself so that you can breathe upon the embers to rekindle the fire that God has put on the inside of you. Throw off all the weights of oppression that are causing you to be spiritually drained. Don’t allow the cares of this world to weigh you down and drag you into a place of complacency. Don’t let the fire of your faith die down because it will cause your heart to grow cold quickly and when that happens, it’s hard to get the fire burning again, and it takes a lot of energy and effort to kindle a blaze!

The priests had to add new and fresh wood every morning to fire, and it had to be in a certain order, it couldn’t just be thrown up there any kind of way. Well, the same thing applies to you, you cannot go to God any kind of way. It is time to refocus and renew the passion that you’ve once had for prayer, let the passion that God put in your heart come alive and burn again that His Glory can be released in your life!

Every morning it’s important for you to get up and add fresh fuel to your faith, by being in worship and prayer. You cannot afford to forego this part of your day, because If you wait until later, or only use a little fuel for the altar of your heart, you will burn out before the day is halfway done, and your fire will go out and you know you can’t afford for your fire to go out, to many things and people are depending on you and your prayer life!

Take your eyes off the natural realm, and look to the supernatural realm, which is unseen, it’s there that God will empower you to accomplish what He assigned for you to do. Today, receive the fresh impartation of His fire and allow the embers to reignited to a blaze. As you take the limits off God and what He can do, He will ignite a new passion in your prayer life, and you will experience His Power and Presence like never before! Don’t resist the change that is taking place on the altar, let the fire burn and allow His Word to penetrate your heart as fire is shut up in your bones and you just can’t keep it to yourself!

Let’s Pray:
Lord. Thank You, for the truth of Your Word and for this reminder today to keep my fire burning. Lord, I want the fire of my faith to burn bright and hot for everyone to see! Father, continue being the passion that fuels the fire in my heart. Father as You allow Your fire to consume my life, I pray that Your Word becomes an inferno in my life and that it will be a blaze for Your Glory to advance Your kingdom on this earth as I do what You have assigned me to do. Father, I pray that Your fire always burns in my life and that it never goes out! Father, show me today what to do with the fire that You have given me and how I can share my fuel to get someone else’s fire started. In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Change Your Battlefield In Prayer, So That You Will Win Your Battle In Prayer!

2 CHRONICLES 20:15-17 ~ “He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. [17] You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.”

I’m not sure when I saw this nugget on Facebook, but I know it’s fitting for today’s devotional! Let’s look at this story. “The Eagle does not fight the snake on the ground. He lifts it up into the sky and changes the battlefield, and then puts the snake in the air. The snake has no stamina, no power, no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike the ground where it is powerful, wise and deadly. Take your fight to the spiritual realm by praying and you will see how the Lord takes charge of your battles. Don’t fight the enemy in his comfort zone, change the battlefields like the eagle and let God take over through your fervent prayer. You will be assured of a clean victory!”

As I reflected and thought about what happened, my mind went to me being on the Prayer line yesterday and the WOG was ministering on this, “The Battle Is Not Yours, It’s The Lord’s and He will give you power to destroy your enemy through prayer! Look at how a change of atmosphere, changed the outcome of this battle! You can’t fight your enemy in his comfort zone, you have to rise up higher and move him away from what he knows to who and what you know!

Do you know the difference between the battleground and the battlefield? The Battleground is where the enemy tries to attack you, in every area of your life. That’s his comfort zone! Now, the Battlefield, this is where you get to execute and use your weapons that God had supplied you with to defeat and destroy the enemy! Thanks be unto God; you don’t have to fight him on his territory! You get to go higher!

Today, you might be going through a battle, don’t worry, it’s designed to make you stronger, to make you wiser, to make you better! As a matter of fact, this isn’t for you anyway, it’s for God, He’s showing up in the midst of your battle to fight the fixed fight for you! For every battleground there is a Battlefield ready to take the enemy higher and then drop it down to never return again!

God has given you 4 vital keys to help you to be the best soldier that you can be!

1. You got the Word of God, Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

2. You got Your Amour, Ephesians 6:10-18, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. [11] Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. [12] For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. [13] Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. [14] Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, [15] and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. [16] In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. [17] Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God! “

3. You got the gift of Prayer, Ephesians 6:18, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. You got the Power of God The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost!

4. You got the Peace of God, Isaiah 26:3, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

So, those 4 things help you do these 2 things: they teach you how to stand and stay alert on the battlefield!

First ~ You know that this is not you walking, in your own strength, but it is the strength provided by God. It means that you are using the weapons of spiritual warfare including speaking truth, living righteously, sharing the gospel, being faithful, knowing God’s word, and praying every day!

Secondly ~ You know that even though the opposition is tough, you have the assurance that you are standing in Christ Jesus, and you know that you know that you will receive a reward for fighting the good fight of faith and this isn’t just for the next lifetime, but it’s in this one, the one that you are living right now! You know that you know that The Lord is going to reward you with His Presence, peace, and purpose for the battlefield!

You will learn more about God in the thick of battle than you will in your times of quietness! Your victory over the sinful nature, the world, and the devil is primarily won on your knees in prayer! (Your knees have the strongest bones in your body.) You will learn that first in your atmosphere change! With that being said, there will be no running away, for you are a warrior created for and by Jesus Christ! And He has equipped you, trained you, and counseled you on how to overcome your enemy!

You were chosen for this battle, because of who God is, He made you strong for the battle, and you will win! Again, running away isn’t an option for you. Jesus, your King of kings is standing with you in the battle. “Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.” Psalm 144:1! “Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. [14] The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:13-14!

I know that sometimes it gets tough in the battle, and you may even get a little fatigue and you may want to step off the field to escape it all. But remember that you are a soldier of Jesus Christ, and soldiers don’t quit, God is going to give you staying Power for the battlefield! Yes, warriors do get wounded serving in battle, but you must continue to go and serve! Your Commander in Chief will clean you up, He will heal you, repair your wounds and restore you, and sometimes you won’t even be able to tell where the scar was in the beginning!

So, you can’t let what happened stop you from achieving the greater purpose at hand! Another thing is that warriors don’t stay on the sideline, they are made for the battlefield, and the deeper they go into battle, the closer they are to God! Do you feel Him, are you close to Him? As a warrior you should always prepared because you don’t know who, when or where the enemy is, so remain prayerful, alert and disciplined, so that you can be on guard as you stand, watch, wait, work and worship in season and out a season! As a Warrior you must be prepared at all times!

One thing that I do know is that your Commander and Chief knows your location, position and posture at all times, and you must never lose sight of this! Stay connected to the Commander and Chief, by whatever means necessary! Keep your Sword with you at all times, it is your Manual for life, everything you need can be found in this guide, you just have to stop and read it, and follow every Word in it and don’t forget to ask Him for, discernment, wisdom and understanding so that you will know how to apply the Word! Being a Soldier in the Army of the Lord, qualifies you to be a bold Warrior for the Lord!

I’m sure I have shared this experience with you before, but I believe that you need it again. I received this nugget in November 2016, I received this note, when I was living in Texas. I had sent a print job to the copier and when I picked up my papers this word was on a plain piece of paper in the middle of my job, if was as if I had started printing and my job got interrupted and this printed and then my job finished! I’m sharing it with y’all!

“God gives His toughest battles to His strongest soldiers; He knew that you could walk in this tough experience and then be able to walk out of those same experiences and be able to minister to those who are experiencing the same battles right now!”

Are you a Warrior today? Warrior, take a deep breath, get your second wind and keep pushing, and don’t let anything stop you from achieving the goal at hand. Make your election sure and be determined to go, even if you have to go along. Trust God, God plus you are the majority, which secures your victory!

Let’s Pray:
Pray Ephesians 6:11-18 & Psalm 23! Father thank you for the strength and power that You have given me to destroy everything on the battleground that would cause me to lay down and die. Father, I have put my mind on Your Word, and I will not die, I will live and live well for I am on the Battlefield for You and I will serve You until I die! Father, I will run and not get weary, for I am standing on Your Word in Isaiah 40:31 NIV, “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” Father, Thank You for restoring me, for healing all of my wounds that I may continue on in my service unto You! Father, teach me how to battle in prayer that the enemy will be defeated. Teach me how to stand, how to respond and what to let go! Father, I trust Your plan for my life, You know every battleground that I’m going to face, and I thank You for the battlefield that You gave me to defeat the enemy. Father, today I’m changing the atmosphere where I can pray and defeat the enemy, for I know that as long as I’m with You, I will be victorious, and they will know that I’m Your child. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! Will You Be Ready When Jesus Comes Back?

Matthew 24:36,42,44 NIV ~ “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. [42] “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. [44] So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”

I read this very profound story yesterday on Facebook! As I read this story, I thought about how often we read our Bible. Yes, we know it’s full of everything good that we need, all the instructions and information that we need to live in this life and what we need to do to prepare for our eternal life can be found among the scriptures in here! I mean most of us have a Bible in every room of our house and in every vehicle and on our desk at work. But with all the Bible’s you have, when is the last time that you picked one up and read it, study what God was saying to you!

Here is the story that I read yesterday:

It starts off with a question!

HAVE YOU READ YOUR LETTER?

“A man before leaving for work, left a letter on the dining table for his wife. Chores around the house kept the woman from seeing the letter until about 12 noon. When she finally chanced on the letter, she was so excited to see that her husband had taken time to write her a letter. She kissed the paper when she saw “my beautiful wife” at the top, hugged it when she saw “I love you with all my heart” at the bottom, and sniffed it when she realized it smelled of her husband’s perfume.”

Out of excitement, and without even bothering to read the content of the letter, she made up her mind to cook him his favorite meal for dinner that night. She quickly rushed to the kitchen and got to work. After cooking and setting the table, she went to the washroom and took a shower, put on her most attractive night gown and dressed the bed.

“Just as she was about to finish laying the bed her husband walked into the house. When she heard him come in, she went out to welcome him. To her surprise, her husband was very furious when he saw her. She became very confused and asked why he wouldn’t even let her welcome him with a hug but instead have that angry look on his face.”

The husband asked, “Did you read the letter I left you on the table?”

The woman responded, “Oh yes, I saw it. That’s why I went through all the trouble to prepare your favorite meal for you. Thank you so much honey, it was sweet of you.” She leaned in to give him a kiss, but he pushed her away to her surprise.

The husband went on, “If you did, then why haven’t you done any of the things I instructed you to do?” The man went inside and came out again quickly with an already packed suitcase. He headed straight for the door and said to his wife, “See you in 7 days.”

The woman stood there confused but before she could utter a word, the door had slammed behind him. She went back to the dining table to take a second look at the letter.

It read……

“My beautiful wife, My company has asked 4 colleges and myself to go on a seven-day trip to Dubai for a training program. They said that we can bring along our wives and I thought this will be the best opportunity for us to have the honeymoon we never did after we got married. I have already packed a suitcase for myself, so please pack yours. Our flight leaves at exactly 7 pm so I will be home at 6 o’clock for us to go to the airport. No need to cook dinner since there will be food on the plane. Just be prepare to go as soon as I get back. Please be ready before I get back, so we don’t miss the flight. I Love you with all my heart.”

I bet you thought this woman was unwise when you realized her mistake as you read this piece.

Well unfortunately this is the state of many Christians in the Body of Christ today. We have accepted Jesus as our Lord and are excited about being children of God and the fact that He will come back again for us one day. Revelation 1:8! But we have not taken into account what He expects us to do before His return.

This is because our Bibles are closed. We have read a few scriptures in the Word and are excited about promises but have completely ignored most of His instructions. You do not know the Man if you do not know His Word!

How then do we profess to be married to a groom whose Word we have relegated to the background in the pursuit of signs and wonders. Unfortunately, what many don’t know is that the Word is the power for signs and wonders, so if we go for the Word these things we are chasing will chase us. Let us pay attention to His letter, which is the Word of God. It will draw us close to His desire for us and enable us to walk in victory over this world and its challenges.” James 4:8!

I pray that this story blesses you and encourages you to read and study the Word of God more! You can never read it too much, because as you grow in Word you get a greater understanding and revelation of what He is saying in these last days! 2 Timothy 2:15, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

So, when was the last time that you read your Bible? Or do you just look at the cover and reminisced about what you once read before, or do you just think about what you want it to be. And be honest with yourself if you have not read the contents of the letter (your Bible) it’s high time that you do, and today is that day, you have a fresh new start because you are here!

Today, don’t just look at your Bible, and don’t just pick it up and look at it, you need to open it up; start at Genesis and work your way to Revelation! As you read and study you will see the character, love, power and sovereignty of your Father! You will fall in love with Him like never before! For the Bible is the greatest story ever written! When you pick up your Bible today, study Matthew 24:1-51!

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank You, thank You, thank You for the great Love that You have shown me by giving me Jesus Christ, Your Son to be my savior! Father, You are known for Your Grace and Mercy, Your Love and Kindness, Your Truth and Your Holy Presence. Father, it is my heart’s desire, to keep You in the center of my life. Father, I pray that the eyes of my understanding would be enlightened and that I would come to know You in deeper ways. I ask that You fill me with Your Holy Spirit and that I may be a bolder and stronger servant and disciple for You. I pray that my love for You will surpass everything else in my life, and that my love will be a fire that never goes out. Father, help me in these last days to stay woke and vigilant, to always be ready, and to be counted worthy, for always watching for the glorious return of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, I cry out to my Abba-Father, Thank You for hearing my prayer, for I’m not just hearing Your Word, I’m taking heed to Your Word. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Blessings…
