Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Pruning Season! God Is Getting Ready To Cut Away Everything That Is Hindering Your Growth!

John 15:1-2,5-6 NIV ~ “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. [2] He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. [5] “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. [6] If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.”

I read a story about a gardener who was chopping up a rose bush and the owner was furious. There were branches flying everywhere until all the leaves and branches were in a pile, that use to be on my lovely rose bush! He said that his first thought was that he had hired the worst gardener in world! Then he asked his neighbor, do you see what this gardener has done to my beautiful rose bush, he has destroyed everything! He was so upset at what he saw, all of the beautiful branches and flowers laid wilted on the ground, leaving a bare, naked and exposed tree!

He went on to say, I know I have never taken up Gardening 101, but this gardener has butchered all of my bushes and killing my flowers! But I was soon enlightened that he was doing everything according to the Master (God) God had gifted the gardener as a vinedresser and he knew exactly what needed to be done in order to preserve life! He knew that in the pruning process of the cutting away the old, that the bush would actually produce more life and increase in blooming and flourishing! Did you hear that, life actually increases with pruning! Your life is being increased as God prunes you!

So, with this being said, it’s Pruning Time! Just like that well skilled gardener had to cut off all of the unnecessary parts of that rose bush to allow for growth and blooming! Be it known unto you, everything that is stunting or killing your growth must be cut off (At the roots, so that it does not grow back)! I know that nobody likes being pruned. But it’s Necessary! I’m sure that you believe that you are just fine, you feel like you are good with the things that you are doing for God, and you finally feel like you know exactly what you are doing, right anyway? You have it all together and figured out!

Can I tell you something, it’s in these times when you feel that you have arrived and have it all together that God decides that you need pruning! That’s right, it’s time to prune you so that you can bear more fruit in this season! God has to clean you up and cut some things away from your life that is stunting your growth (negative habits, complacency, unhealthy relationships, laziness, procrastination and, distractions just to name a few). God has more for you, and He wants more out of you. It is time for a deeper level of spiritual maturity, it’s time to grow up, you have been at this stage long enough, there is nothing else left that you can do at this level. (You are restless in this space because you have outgrown it, stop trying to fit in where you don’t belong!) So, in order for you to move, grow and produce more fruit, you have to be pruned, it’s a necessity! God has started the pruning process, and He didn’t require your permission, after all He is the Master Vinedresser! And He knows exactly when it’s time to prune you! You want to go to a new level; then you need some new anointing to carry you when you get there, and this can only come from God!

You see when you think you are blooming in your life and everything is great, this is exactly when and where then God decides to bring you into something else.  You have gotten too comfortable in a place that was only supposed to be temporary! I know this process is painful and you want it to end, but ultimately it will lead to greater flourishing in you, and you will come to appreciate this process! Thank God for the Pruning! I know that you liked things just the way they were, you were comfortable, but let me tell you, your comfort is not God’s primary concern! He is wants more, He’s interested in your total growth (spiritually and physically). God knows in order for you to bear more fruit, you have to be pruned to produce a greater harvest for His Glory. You must conform to the image of Jesus Christ, and learn to trust your Father in Heaven, who is the Master Gardener, He has perfected landscaping, He knows what areas of your life that needs pruning, cutting, trimming and uprooting, trust Him, He knows exactly what you need in order to grow, and to produce a greater harvest!

God is planning for your life, and His pruning, is better than you could have ever imagined or hoped for, so instead of fighting against God in this process, let Him prune you, “Let Go and Let God” have His way! Just like natural pruning keeps plants healthy and aids in new growth and longevity so does God pruning in your life, it will make you healthier and increases your endurance for the long haul.  Today, I encourage you to release your will and surrender yourself to God’s pruning work. Whatever you are holding on to, “Release It and Let It Go.” Trust in the Lord, who created you and desires to see more fruit blooming from your branches. Know this, God see’s what on the inside of you, and He knows just how much you can produce! Oh, what an experience and encounter you will have, blooming beautifully and flourishing for God’s Glory!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Thank You for everything! Father, today I will not fight against what You want to do in me and my life. I submit and surrender to Your Pruning Process! Father, remove from me anything that hinders my growth and prevents me from bearing good fruit. Though it may feel painful, I trust in Your loving care and wisdom to shape me into a vessel that can fully produce the good works You called, ordained and prepared for me to do. Father I am making a conscious decision to commit myself to Your process. Give me the Grace to willingly let go of all the things that do not bear fruit in my life, even when it is hard and difficult. Father, help me to surrender fully to Your Will, for I cannot do it without You, for I am confident in the fact that You know what’s best for me. Father, I trust You with every fiber of my being and I commit to seeking Your guidance in every area of my life and allowing You to shape and direct me so that I may be fruitful in every good work. I desire to live a life of holiness and righteousness so that I am fully aligned with Your purposes, bearing fruit that lasts. Father, help me to trust in Your wisdom and love, believing that every cut You make is for my good and Your Glory.

Good Morning Sunshine! You Are A Bearer Of Fruit!

John 15:1-2 AMP ~ “I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. [2] Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].”

Who likes being pruned? I’m sure none of you, I mean you are good with the things that you are doing for God, you finally feel like you know exactly what you are doing, right? Can I just tell you something, it’s in these times that God decides that you need pruning, that’s right, it’s time to prune you some more so that you can bear some more fruit in this season. It’s when you think you are blooming in your life and everything is great, then God decides to bring you into something else, your time where you were at has expired, it’s time for something new!

I know that you like things just the way they are, you’re comfortable, but let me tell you, your comfort is not God’s primary concern for you. He wants more out of you and from you, He’s interested in your growth in every area of your life, (it’s naturally and spiritually). God knows in order for you to bear more fruit, you have to be pruned and pruned some more, to produce a greater harvest for His Glory. You must be transformed in your mind that you will conform to the image of Jesus Christ!

This pruning process was created for you to learn how to trust your Father in Heaven, who is the Vinedresser, the Master Gardener, who has perfected landscaping! He knows what areas of you life that needs cutting, He knows what tools to use, somethings might just need some trimming and then there is some stuff that needs to come up and out of you altogether, which is the uprooting. Trust Him, He knows exactly what you need in order to produce more grow, He knows how to produce a harvest and He will protect His harvest at all costs!

God’s plans for you and your life were done before you were even created born, He knows exactly who you are and what He created you for. His pruning is better than you could have imagined, it’s better than anything that you could ever do for yourself, so instead of fighting against God in this process, lean into it and let Him prune you thoroughly and completely, “Let Go and Let God” have His way!

In the words of my friend Evangelist Rose, this is not a Burger King way, you can’t have it your way in this process, you would mess it up, just let the Master do what He’s great at! Just like natural pruning keeps plants healthy and aids in new growth, so does God’s way of pruning, it going to make you healthier and increases your endurance and resilience for the long haul!

Today, I want to encourage you to release your will and surrender yourself to God’s pruning work. Whatever you are holding on to, “Release It! Let It Go! And Let It Flow! Trust in the Lord, who created you and desires to see more fruit blooming from your branches, fruit that will bear more fruit! Oh, what an experience you will have, blooming beautifully for God’s Glory!

Father, Thank You! Father, You are completely trustworthy and faithful. Father, You know what you are doing in guiding and directing my life, help me to except and believe that Your pruning is for my greater good and for Your Glory! Father, help me to hold nothing back when it comes to obeying Your will and give me the grace to submit to Your pruning, Your way! Father, I pray that I’m obedient and not distracted by what You move out of my life to make room for what You have for my life. Father, give me the endurance to complete the pruning process that my life will produce fruit that blesses others and honors You. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! You Are Being Pruned!

John 15:2 ~ “Every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”

A good and seasoned farmer knows how to prune his fruit trees for two important reasons: first, to strengthen the healthy branches and to remove all the branches that are unproductive and not bearing fruit;  secondly, to allow air and sun to get to the parts of the tree that is inaccessible, the parts that’s most vulnerable, the parts that most people don’t see, when proper pruning is not done this part becomes unmanageable! I know that sometimes you make think pruning is all about dead things, but this is not always the case.

In this season, you will experience some pruning! Yes, you are being pruned right now! The pain that you currently encountering pain, is pruning and it is going to hurt a little, don’t worry, you will be okay! Again, it’s pruning, stop fighting and seek God in prayer, ask Him to still you, while He molds and shapes you into a fruit-producing, instrument for His Glory! Thank God for Your pruning, for it is getting rid of the stuff that has hindered and stunted your growth.

God prunes to make things better, He is the Vinedresser and He, initiated this pruning process in you to refine you and to make you better. I know pruning can seem painful, maybe it can even feel like you are being punished, but I want you to know, that you are not being punished but it’s for a purpose, and your Father knows exactly what He’s doing!

Now that your pruning is completed you can reach your full potential, seek to be nourished from the main Source, so that you can recover fully and be aligned with your ordained purpose and further magnify Jesus Christ with your gifts.

Remember that during your pruning season God will never leave you are fail you, He desires for you to be consistent and faithful and use that as your source of direct access to the soil, vitamins and minerals that come from the Master Vine, to deliver the nutrients that you need to grow!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You! Father, You are completely trustworthy and faithful. Father, You know what you are doing in guiding and directing my life, help me to except and believe that Your pruning is for my greater good and for Your Glory! Father, help me to hold nothing back when it comes to obeying Your will and give me the grace to submit to Your pruning, Your way!
