Good Morning Sunshine! Have You Learned How To Turn Yet?

2 Peter 3:9 AMPC ~ “The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.”

It’s time to repent! Do you really know what repentance means? According to Webster’s Dictionary, it is the action or process of repenting especially for misdeeds or moral shortcomings.

However, according to the Bible, “It is the act of leaving what God hates and returning to what He has commanded.” Luke 13:3, “I tell you, no; but unless you repent (change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost eternally.” True repentance takes place in your heart and not in your head! It’s not a feeling but an act of reverence and obedience unto God!

True Repentance has nothing to do with your feelings, it’s not just saying I’m sorry and moving on, it’s about you having a change of heart and behavior! It’s about conviction and you being fully aware of your actions or lack thereof! When true repentance does not take place, you need to seek God and ask Him to show you what you need to do to get your life back in alignment with Him and what He wants for your life. Having remorse with no change in your heart is not called repentance, it’s you just trying to buy some time before you do your next thing or the next incident occurs, whichever one comes first!

One more thing to know, True Repentance is not without consequences! This means, you have been forgiven by God, when you repented, but sometimes you may have to face the consequences of your actions, (God will see you through this). In True Repentance you will have a change of heart, but if your heart remains unchanged, then you are not fully operating in repentance, you have just learned how to manipulate the situation by mitigating it with a temporary corrected behavior. However, your heart is still corrupt and inwardly you are still unrepentant! This is a dangerous place to be in, please repent for real, because you do not want to leave this earth in this state. And since you don’t know when He is coming back, you need to make repenting a top priority!

True Repentance is not you just saying a bunch of words, it’s an inward revival that is accompanied by the peace of God, that shows up on your outside! Your inward change becomes a revival of righteousness with a desire for Holy living with Jesus Christ! You now can appreciate what you have been taught by God, you have learned how to truly repent and be one with your Father. Learning this has transformed you from the old to the new, Romans 12:2, and you are guided by the desires of your Father, recognize and receive His good counsel, that you may live in freedom, and never go back to the old! You are free, free, free, Galatians 5:1!

True Repentance is a serious act of the heart, it’s totally surrendering to God and a faith walk, Hebrews 11:1! It’s the catalyst that brings forth the work of ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Will of God in your life! This process cultivates the gifts of God and the fruit of the Spirit in you!

Repentance is a critical part of your life, it’s the driving force that renews your mind and puts your mind, mouth and motives on Jesus Christ! It is here that you are able to flow freely in the things of God, every moment becomes a movement bringing you closer and closer to God because you have been inspired and instructed by your Father! True Repentance is about accountability to God first, yourself and others, and it shows in your heart, and in your actions! You become the change catalyst that you want to see!

Let’s Pray:

Father, Thank You! Thank You for the gift of Repentance! Father, I come to You right now as humbly as I can, I repent right now for every sin that I have committed, sins of omission and commission. Please forgive me and teach me how to forgive others and myself. Father, create in me a pure and clean heart that I may be in right fellowship with You and others! If you said this prayer from your heart, your Father in Heaven heard your confession and He is faithful and just and He will forgive you and purify your sins. In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Good Morning Sunshine! It’s Time To Rend Your Heart!

Joel 2:12-13 NKJV ~ Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” [13] So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.”

This is your place to repent and return to God, and to not just outwardly express sorrow but an inward expression of love. God is merciful and you need to know it!

I’m in a prayer community, and Prophetess Kenita shared this profound message with us. “You may think that you are ready for the next and then you realize that you have found yourself still in the same place and not knowing why you can’t move forward. It could be that you have not repented, thus contaminating your heart, (your inner you, is your enemy) that is preventing the hand of God from moving on your behalf. It’s time to Rend your heart and Repent so that you don’t die in the place of complaining and not knowing because you think you have your business straight!”

You don’t have time to guest about this, you need to be sure, so that when Jesus comes back, you are ready! Whatever you don’t fix and change before you die, you surely can’t fix it or change it when you die! Every day that God gives you breath, He is giving you an opportunity to live before you die! Choose wisely, and not just in word, but you need to choose indeed Joshua 24:15!) this is a perfect time to rend, repent and confess your faith before the one and only true and living Savior, Jesus Christ!

Today, don’t tear your clothes as outward sign of repentance, this is an inside job that starts with your heart to show God that you are sorry, and repentance is unto Him, for He is the only One that can do anything about it! Repentance is how you return to God, for you serve a merciful, compassionate, God who is slow to anger, who wants and can forgive you!

Stop doing things for a show, the people that you are performing for can’t do anything to help you. You see your outward sorrow isn’t enough, you must be clean from inside out! Again, it’s an inside job! It’s time to make a true, heartfelt confession and repentance to restore the communion that you once enjoyed with God before you sinned.

This scripture is really, good news. It is not only showing you but telling you that God is gracious and merciful. The God of the universe who you sinned against has given you a way to repent and to see and to know His Grace and Mercy works in your life and in your favor! He is slow to anger, and He is abounding, He’s full of overflowing and steadfast love for you. Because God relents, He doesn’t pour out the judgment and the wrath that you deserved when you were sinning.

It is time for you to turn away from your sins and return to God. It’s time to repent and return to Him with all of your heart, with fasting, with weeping with mourning, and being humble before God, in light of your sin, it is the rending of your heart, you are coming clean before God and laying bare before God and asking Him to renew you and change you and restore you! You are choosing to be humble instead of being humbled by God!

God delights in renewing, changing, restoring, redeeming, saving, and transforming you. God delights in you when you turn away from sinning to surrendering to Him. God loves it when you turn to Him and experience His forgiveness at that moment you turned from you to Him and you put all of your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, He relented the wrath that you deserved, and He reconciled you back to Him!

God is so concerned about your heart, and you genuinely loving Him and desiring to be in a relationship with Him that will last for eternity. God does not want you to lose your heart to things of the world and become false, and only giving lip service to God instead of giving Him you. God wants you to love Him and serve Him with all of your heart and you are not just by going through the motions. It is time for “U to surRENDder YOUR HEART (read the caps)- Joel 2:13” (Prophetess Kenita)!

Let’s Pray:

Thank You Father, thank You for forgiving me. Father, today I’m rending my heart to you and I’m repenting and turning away from sin. Father, I pray that you would help me to continually turn and return to You, and that You will forgive and save me from sin because of what You did for me in the Cross. Father, I trust in You as Lord of my life. Father, I pray that I will continue to experience Your Grace Your Mercy and Your steadfast love. Father I praise You for Your word that tells and shows me how you gracious and merciful and slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love You are. Father I offer my praise up to You today and I’m thankful for Your forgiveness and for not bringing Your wrath upon me that I may walk in intimacy with you. In Jesus Christ Mighty Name. Amen!

Blessings…
