Good Morning Friendly One!

Proverbs 18:24 NKJV ~ “A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

Who are your closest friends? Good friends are hard to come by in a world of superficial and shallow relationships. Be mindful of false companions they may have learned how to act friendly when they are truly not your friends, at all. A true friend is from God. There is an old proverb expression that says, “a friend in need is a friend, indeed.” It means that one person is willing to meet the need of another person’s needs is a sign of true friendship.

Family is chosen for you, but your friends you choose! I thank God for the friends that He has given me. He has blessed me with women that I know that I know are my friend and they can say the same thing about me, I’m their friend as well! I want to encourage you to be the kind of friend that you want to have and watch how God will blossom and grow your relationship!

So many people make excuses for their lack of friends, but the problem is not getting a friend, the challenge is keeping them. You have to show yourself friendly in behavior and conduct. I know someone who can teach you how to be a true friend, the Lord Jesus Christ, He is the eternal Friend who will never leave or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5-6)! When you are friendly, others will desire you to be their friend, and you be esteemed (Proverbs 11:16)!

Ask the God to lead you to your friends, the ones He has designed just for you! As you do, trust that God will give you that “stick-through-thick-and-thin-friend.” Associates are easy to find, but they can be unreliable. But a friend will stick close to you! I’m so grateful to God for my friends, He blessed me with a wonderful gift and I thank God for them and I pray that they thank Him for me too! Today, uphold your friends in prayer, call them and tell them how much you love and appreciate their kindness! Your friends given to you by God is an investment of your effort and time, but they are friends with whom you will share your life with forever.

Let’s Pray:
Father Thank You! Thank You for choosing me to be Your friend! Father, Thank You for the friends that You gave me, (call your friends by name as you pray for them). Father, lead me to someone this week who needs to get an opportunity to meet You and to receive a friendship made by You! Father, I Thank You for all of my Christian friends that You have given me, may You continue to help them in their walk with You today and every day for the rest of their lives. And Father I Thank You for being my very best friend ever!

Father, bless everyone that will read this devotional and pray this prayer today. May their friend made by You find them today and may they be ready to be the friend that You designed them to be! Let love be the driving force of their relationship and may all of our relationships bring Glory to You! In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Blessings…
Minister Jean
