Good Morning Sunshine! It Was At The Cross!

Luke 9:23 NKJV ~ “Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”

At the Cross, At the Cross! where I first saw the light, And the burden of my heart rolled away, it was there by faith I received my sight, and now I am happy all the day! We sing this Chorus, but my God we need to see ourselves first. Have you ever read the lyrics to the song At The Cross? 1 When my heart was so hard, That I ne’er would regard, The salvation held up to my sight, To the cross then I came In my darkness and shame, And ‘twas there that I first saw the light, Chorus: At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light, And the burden of my heart rolled away; It was there, by faith, I received my sight, And now I am happy all the day. 2 In my blindness I thought, That no power could have wrought, Such a marvel of wonder and might; But ‘twas done, for I felt, At the cross as I knelt, That my darkness was turned into light. 3 Then the gloom had all passed, And, rejoicing at last, I was sure that my soul was made right; For my Lord, I could see, In his love died for me, On the cross, where I first saw the light. (Written by Herbert Booth, 1885).

This is where it all begins, “And ‘twas there that I first saw the light,” it’s with the end in mind that you can see your beginning. Jesus died on the Cross for me and you, it was “At The Cross”, where He gave all that He had so that you and I could be here today, so the next time you think about the cross, remember what happened for you on The Cross!

Now can you pray while you are on your cross of affliction, or can you only praise Him when things are good? You are to daily pick up your cross, you are to daily pray, praise and worship your Father! It’s in doing this that your Father is Glorified! If you choose not to pick up your cross then you are denying your crown, you cannot have one without the other!

I Corinthians 2:9–10, NKJV ~ “But as it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit.”

Eyes have not seen, nor have your ears heard it, but His Spirit will reveal it. And the only way that you can understand this is for you to be born again! Have you been washed in the Blood of Jesus? I use to hear these two parallel stories when I was growing up, “How can a black cow eat green grass and produce white milk and then how could my black soul become white as snow”, and I didn’t understand it, but my grandmother would say you will “by and by!” It’s now “by and by time” and I understand, do you understand? It was the Blood of Jesus Christ! You must be, you’ve got to be washed in the Blood, and the only way that you will understand His ways and His Will is by the His Spirit and being washed in the Blood!

Everything is about the Cross and the Blood of Jesus! If Jesus hadn’t went to Cross, there would be no Blood! And because of this, It’s Finished! I said everything just to say it’s finished! Say farewell to that sin, to that sickness, to that trial, to that issue, whatever it is, it’s Finished, say farewell because you won’t see that again, you have been washed clean through the pure redeeming Blood of the Lamb!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You, Thank You for Your Redeeming Blood! Thank You for washing me and making me white as snow, it’s nothing but Your Power and Love for me! It cleansed me, it purified me, it covered me and it changed me! Father, I am forever grateful for what You sacrificed that I may have life and have it more abundantly! Father, I stretch my hands to Thee for there is no one else that could save me! I’m saved and full of Your Word! Father, send someone cross my path today that I may tell about Your Cross and what you did for me! In the Name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen!

Blessings…
Minister Jean
