Good Morning Sowing One!

Galatians 6:7-8 ~ “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. [8] For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

Don’t Waste Your Time! Have you ever heard that saying before, someone was trying to tell you not to do a thing, because it would be a waste of time.  Paul urged the church in Galatia to not waste their lives on doing what was opposite of what God had called you to do! As you read this devotion today I want you to keep in mind the words you just read in this scripture, you will reap what you sow! This scripture was written by a man who had been in prison, beaten, stoned, robbed, lived without food and shelter, and was finally beheaded. He endured it all because he was determined not to waste the life that he was given by God!

If I could tell you just one thing, it would be don’t waste your life! Yes, it’s okay to do and have nice things, but at what cost does it really matter. Again, there is nothing wrong with having and wanting nice stuff, but when you get it at the cost of your relationship with God, what have you really gotten. The point I’m trying to make is, you have spent a lot of time sowing into things that have no value and now you want to reap good, when you didn’t sow into good. Yesterday you should have been sowing seeds that would allow you to be fruitful for the Kingdom of God in order to reap a greater harvest today.

So many times we think that we can get away with doing wrong, but let me tell you something, you cannot get away with anything, nobody has ever and nobody ever will, because God will not mocked! Galatians 6:7! God will see too it, you will reap what you sow! You might fool some, you can’t fool God anytime! He knows every time and every thing! There is good news for you the believer, you will reap more than you sow, and you reap later than you sow, sowing is a process and you have to wait for the harvest to come up before you can reap it.

Yesterday, in a class that I am taking, my professor said that we the believers and children of God should thank Him, “he said, that God picked up some of the stuff that we sowed before we came to Him, for He knew the good that you were going to do for the kingdom and He didn’t want you to reap those bad things.” For this reason you should be thanking God, He saved you from some stuff that could have and should have destroyed your life! Thank You God for Your Grace and Mercy, Ephesians 2:4-9!

I know that there are all kinds of wicked people in this world who live lifestyles that are ungodly and yet they seem to be getting along just fine, don’t focus on them and don’t be discouraged, because in due time, they will reap what they have sown. (John 15:18-19). All you have to do is remain faithful to God and trust Him. I want you to continue to sow the good seeds that are planted in your heart from the Word of God! So be sure that you are living a life that is not a wasted life, but a worthwhile life, that you will reap the good that you have sown to God, knowing that all good things work together for your good, Romans 8:28!

Let’s Pray:
Thank You Father! Thank You for saving me from myself! Thank You for Your Grace and Mercy, Thank You for keeping me and protecting me all down through the years. Father, Thank You for not giving me all that I deserve when I disobeyed You! Father, Thank You for the opportunity now to sow into Your people and Your kingdom, that others might reap in Your righteousness. Father, help me to sow seeds of love, peace, patience, kindness, truthfulness, and godliness so that I might reap the blessings of living an obedient life of worship, worth and wholeness before You, and not wasted life. In The Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Blessings…
Minister Jean
