Good Morning Zealous One!

Good Morning Zealous One!

1 Kings 19:10 NIV ~ “He replied, “I have been very zealous for the LORD God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.”

As a Christian being zealous should be one of your characteristics. Jesus reminded us that, “for whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?” Matthew 16:24-26.  As sons and daughters of the Most-High God, you should be totally aware that God has given you what you need to live a righteous life and be in right standing with Him. The Word of God teaches you how-to walk-in spirit and in truth, God gave you the greatest teacher to learn from and follow, He gave you Jesus Christ! Everything that you need is in Him and He is in you as travel on this journey called life!

When you are zealous for God, you understand the cost of following Jesus, (picking up your cross daily, Luke 9:23-25), you have to be fully committed to following Him anyway. Are you truly committed to God’s way of doing things, not your own, are you eager to embrace all that Christ wants to do in your life, even when that means you have to surrender or sacrifice what you want. What are you willing to sacrifice for your relationship with your Father?  I Peter 3:13-17 ~ “Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God’s will, than for doing evil.”

You are to believe God’s Word and trust Him especially in these troublesome times so that you may live godly lives in Jesus Christ. As a child of God, the peace of God is already permanently dwelling in your heart, an all you have to do is live your life as God’s Word says, because it was designed for you before you were formed (Jeremiah 1:5) and He breathed on you and the Word came alive in you! Just remember that when you are tempted to think that you are the only one remaining faithful to a task, remember that you are not alone. God is always with you, and he is faithful to provide coworkers to join you in following him. Don’t give in to self-pity; it will only dilute the good you are doing. Be assured that even if you don’t know who they are, others are faithfully obeying God and fulfilling their duties. Today, be mindful that there is nothing or no one that can harm you and nothing can separate you from God and from the eternal promises that are yours in Jesus Christ your Savior!

Let’s Pray:

Father, Thank You for loving me, thank You for choosing me. Father I choose to follow You with my whole heart today and every day, picking up my cross daily to serve You and only You. Father thank You for leading me to other disciples that desire to follow You like myself, may we do a great work for You. Father help me as I will not lean to our own understanding, but I will trust and acknowledge You in all my ways. Father Thank You for showing and reminding me that nothing can harm or destroy me because I’m Your child. Father, I pray that I may continue to be zealous and live as You have showed and told me to do. My heart’s desire is to earnestly seek after that which is good, and to praise and worship you, in Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

Blessings…

Minister Jean
