Good Morning Sunshine! The Battle Is The Lord’s, Not Yours!

On February 7, 2015, God gave me this word and today I believe that someone who is reading this now, needs to hear this!

2 Chronicles 20:3-4, 15 NIV~ “Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah. [4] The people of Judah came together to seek help from the LORD; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to seek him. He said: “Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.”

Have you ever tried to fight a battle that wasn’t yours to fight? To stay strong in these last days, you are going to have to know what is and what isn’t your battle. You need to ask questions like, what am I supposed to do, and what is God supposed to do? God is the only one who can really change impossible situations.

“This is what the Lord says: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” You do not have to fight this battle. Position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord. He is with you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Tomorrow, go out to face them, for the Lord is with you. “Then Jehoshaphat bowed with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord to worship Him. Then the Levites from the sons of Hohathites and the Korahites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel shouting in a loud voice.” (2 Chronicles 20:17-19).

“As they were about to go out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, ‘Hear me, Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be established; believe in His prophets, and you will succeed.’ Then he consulted with the people and appointed some to sing for the Lord and some to praise the splendor of His holiness. When they went out in front of the armed forces, they kept singing: ‘Give thanks to the Lord, for His faithful love endures forever.’ The moment they began their shouts and praises, the Lord set an ambush against the Ammonites, Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir and those who came to fight against (you) Judah, and they were defeated.” (2 Chronicles 20:20-22).

Our God specializes in hopeless cases, overwhelming odds, and impossibilities. He is absolutely amazing. And if the odds are too close that a man may be given the glory, He lessens them so that it is an absolute undeniable victory for Him. For some of you, you have seen God move in such a way. Your back was against the wall, no hope for victory, the chips were down and then somehow, some way, the Lord came shining through and rescued me. For those of you who haven’t experienced that, you will at some point if you will just seek Him. Jehoshaphat had to seek the Lord and acknowledge His dependence on the Him. He simply said, “I don’t know what to do but I do have enough sense to look to You Lord for Help!”

These are the things from today’s reading that I believe you can utilize in your own life when faced with overpowering issues:
1. Admit that you can’t.
2. Acknowledge that He can.
3. Go ahead and set in your
spirit that the manifestation of victory will begin when you let Gods take care of your enemies.
4. Start praising, singing and shouting to God like you know
He’s already caused you to prevail, because He has. Come on, get this joy deep down in your spirit! Pray Psalm 21:1-13!

I want to encourage you for the rest of this year to pray and to believe with all that is within you to make room for the One with the greatest Power of all, Jesus Christ. Put high expectancy on His ability to move and change things. See Him as the One with the Power to bring change, to bring deliverance, to bring healing, to provide financial blessing, and to bring comfort and confidence to your heart so you can trust Him to fight your battle!

Let’s Pray:
Lord God, thank You for sending me Your Word. Lord, I pray to have an exorbitant amount of faith. I pray to have a song in the night. I pray to always have the sense to seek You and know that You are faithful and well able to conquer whatever problems I may be facing. Thank You for being my provider, and for meeting my every need according to your riches in Christ Jesus. Father when I am weak and at a loss for words and don’t know what to pray for, I Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that understands my groans that are too deep for words. And Thank You Father for taking my heavy burden and grief away, Thank You for Your Grace and Mercy. Father, Thank You for Your peace and comfort, in You I find my shelter, for You are Most High God and I’m taking my position, and I will stand still, and see the Salvation of the Lord and I will be victorious because of You. Today, I seek the fullness of Your promises and I feel Your peace covering over me right now as I am praying to You. Father I truly believe that You are with me and that You will never ever leave me, I honor and love You God. In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Blessings…
Minister Jean
