Good Morning Sunshine! Let God Lead You To The Rock Today! Now Say Thank You Jesus!

Psalm 61:1-4 AMP ~ “Hear my cry, O God; Listen to my prayer. [2] From the end of the earth I call to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and weak; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I [a rock that is too high to reach without Your help]. [3] For You have been a shelter and a refuge for me, A strong tower against the enemy. [4] Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.”

Have you been discouraged or tired lately? Believe me, I’m not trying to stress you out, but I want you to be real and acknowledge where you are, it’s only when you are truthful with you, can you get the help that you really need! So many times, you can feel faint and yet you keep moving instead of stopping and standing still and calling out to God for help! It is a brand-new day, and I know that there are a lot of people that are vying for your attention right now, but today I want you to just be you, because you need a moment to meet with the Lord on the Rock!

Today, amidst what you are walking through, I want you to cry out to God and know that He hears your faint cry that is a smidge above a whisper for help and He waiting to lead you to the Rock that is higher than you, He wants to meet you right where you are! God is your secure, safe foundation that you can stand on as your refuge and your strong tower, it will protect you against every enemy that is trying to defeat, discourage, or deplete you!

Be encouraged, right here and right now, God used every circumstance to bring you into alignment and to trust Him with every fiber of your being! Picture yourself in David’s shoes, he was tired, as a matter of fact, he sick and tired of being tired and he had to do something else, because what he was doing wasn’t working! So, are you exhausted? Are you tired yet? Do you feel like you are in the wilderness? Or under pressure, and you are alone in this place of heat with no shelter in sight? Right here in this moment, can you hear your voice being raised above your whisper now as you call God to take you up, to hold you up and to stand on the Rock, your strong tower, your refuge! David cried out and he asked the Lord to “lead me to the Rock that is higher than I.”

Have you cried out and asked God to lead you to the Rock that is higher than you? In other words, this is what you can say to God, Father, lead me to You, because all this is too much for me and I need to be sheltered from this burning heat, it’s too much for me too handle by myself! As you read in your Bible, you can see David in the wilderness and he was exhausted by the heat of the sun, and he couldn’t take the pressure any longer. This is what your life is like when you don’t cry out to God, you get exhausted under the heat of the pressure. You need God to lead you to Him! For He is the only One that can do something about the scorching heat that you are walking through right now! You may not be able to change all the things in your life that seem and feel bigger than you, but I want you to remember that it is still small in comparison to the Rock that is higher than you! There is nothing bigger nor better than the Lord your God!

Let’s do what David did, after all he was a man after God’s own heart! David is giving you a life lesson that you would do well to remember for the rest of your life! He asked for help, and he gave you the reason why he expected the Lord to help him, “For God has been his refuge, a strong tower against the enemy! “David reminded himself of what God had done for him! Now, I want you to stop reading this devotional and let your mind go back to what the Lord has done for you! At this pivotal point you should be grateful, thankful and praising God for all of His breakthroughs and blessings! Remind yourself of all the prayers God answered, how He took care of you and provided for you, all of His promises He kept, how He brought you through troubled waters, what He’s done in His Word and Works, how He gave you strength to seek Him in the wilderness and in the crushing, how He is strengthening you today, and how He saved you from you and your sins!

Learn to run to God, to His Word right in the middle of what’s trying to stress you out! Stop trying to run away, run to God, He can fix the unfixable, God wants you to run to Him and to His Word which can secure, settle and shelter you. You see when you run to God’s Word, you will find your “refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” Psalm 46:1, NIV. When you run to Him, you will find out that He is all you need, and this isn’t an escape but a surrendering of your will to His Will! Say it out loud, “God is my Refuge.” Your strength doesn’t come from you, it comes from the Lord!

God is your Rock, the Rock of your defense, Psalm 94:22 NKJ, “But the LORD has been my defense, And my God the rock of my refuge!” So, when you run to His Word, you discover that His law is your delight and it protects you and keeps you from giving in, out, and up, Psalm 119:92! God is who He says He is, He is the Rock that is stronger and higher than anything you will face! He is your Refuge and Shelter! See yourself being sheltered in the truth of His Word and in the sanctuary of His Presence, just sit back and watch everything that has looked big, shrink down to the size of a pebble that you can throw in the lake to never see again!

God is your Refuge and your strong tower, Proverbs 18:10! When you seek His Word, it will give you the guidance that you need. God’s Presence gives you the peace you need to keep pushing forward! Today, if you feel like running, put your best pair of sneakers on and run to Jesus! Run into the arms of your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He is Your Strength! He is your Rock! He is your Refuge! And He is waiting for you to shelter, secure, settle and save you so that you can be in the safe place!

Let’s Pray:
Father, Thank You! Thank You for keeping me safe! Thank You for being my strong tower and place of refuge! Father, sometimes I get overwhelmed with all of the things that I have to do, and then I’m reminded to cast all of my cares, concerns and challenges on You and You take care of them, Thank You for taking care of me. Father please give me Your Strength and Peace when I’m in this place. Father, lead me to You, my rock. Guide me to Your Word for it gives me strength and refuge. Help me not to run to things that don’t matter, help me to keep first things first, You and Your Word! Father, draw nigh to me and draw me to run to You first. Father, help me to learn to give everything to You first and that I’m not overwhelmed, but I’m overjoyed because I have been overcome by the Word of the Lamb! Father, I’m placing everything at Your feet and under Your Will, for I know that You are my Rock, Refuge, Strong Tower and You will keep me safe from all harm and danger! In Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Blessings…
Love, Minister Jean
