1 Corinthians 3:16 (KJV) ~ “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?”
In this passage, Paul the Apostle writes to the church at Corinth, a city known for its visible temples and outward displays of worship. Yet Paul redirects their understanding and reveals a deeper truth: God is no longer confined to buildings made by human hands; He now dwells within His people. This was a shift from external structure to internal habitation. The emphasis of this scripture is not just identity; it is responsibility and reality. You are not simply connected to God, you carry Him. The process you have gone through was not just for development; it was for dwelling. God builds with intention because He intends to fill what He builds.
There was a construction site that people passed every day. At first, all they saw was dirt being moved, ground being broken, and materials scattered. It didn’t look impressive, just work in progress. Weeks passed, and walls began to rise. Months passed, and the structure took shape. But one day, something changed. The doors opened. Lights turned on. People walked inside. What was once a construction site became a place of habitation. And in that moment, it was clear, it was never just about the building…it was about who would dwell inside. And that is what God has been doing in your life.
Day 1 taught you that before the bricks went up, you were being formed. God took the dust, the broken places, the scattered pieces, and began shaping you. What felt like confusion was construction. What felt like breaking was actually building. You were not being destroyed, you were being developed.
Day 2 showed you that after formation comes positioning. God did not just shape you, He placed you. Even when it felt uncomfortable, even when it did not make sense, He was aligning your life with His purpose. You were not misplaced; you were intentionally set.
Day 3 revealed that once you are positioned, you must be strengthened. Pressure came, challenges rose, and weight increased. But it was not to break you, it was to build endurance within you. You were learning how to stand.
Day 4 reminded you that God does not leave what He builds exposed, He covers it. In the hidden seasons, in the quiet places, and in the moments that felt restricted, God was protecting you. What felt like limitation was actually preservation.
And now, Day 5 brings everything together. You are becoming. This is the stage where the process shifts from what God has been doing around you to what He is now doing within you. You are no longer just being shaped. you are now carrying. You are no longer just being prepared, you are now becoming the evidence of the process. You are not just part of the structure; you are the structure. God did not take you through formation just so you could understand pain. He did not position you just so you could find a place. He did not strengthen you just so you could endure. He did not cover you just so you could be hidden.
He did all of it so He could dwell in you. Becoming is where identity shifts from survival to purpose. You are no longer asking, “What am I going through?” You are now asking, “What am I carrying?” Because what you carry now matters. “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 (KJV). Everything you endured now has meaning. The pressure shaped you. The placement aligned you. The strengthening prepared you. The covering preserved you. And now, God is filling you.
There was a vessel maker who spent hours shaping jars. Each one was carefully formed, smoothed, and fired. A young apprentice watched and asked, “Why do you spend so much time on something that just holds things?” The maker replied, “Because what it holds determines its value.” Later, the apprentice saw those same vessels being filled, some with water, some with oil, some with precious contents. And suddenly, he understood. It was never just about the shaping. It was about the filling. And this is where you are now. God did not shape you just for appearance, He shaped you for capacity.
Becoming means you now live with awareness. You begin to recognize that your life is not ordinary. Your presence carries weight. Your words carry influence. Your decisions carry impact. Because what is within you is not just you, it is God working through you. This awareness changes how you move. You no longer live casually. You begin to walk with intention. You begin to speak with purpose. You begin to guard your heart, your mind, and your spirit because you recognize that you are carrying something sacred. “Present your bodies a living sacrifice…” Romans 12:1 (KJV)
Becoming also means responsibility. When God dwells within you, your life becomes a reflection of Him. This is where discipline meets devotion. You begin to align your life with what you carry. There will be moments when the weight of what you carry feels heavy. But that weight is not meant to burden you, it is meant to remind you of the glory within you. “For our light affliction… worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” 2 Corinthians 4:17 (KJV). Becoming also brings clarity. Things that once confused you begin to make sense. You start to see how God was working in every stage. What once felt like delay now looks like design. What once felt like pressure now looks like preparation.
You begin to see your life through a different lens. You are no longer trying to escape the process; you are grateful for it. Because without it, you would not be who you are now. Becoming also requires continued surrender. Just because you have reached this stage does not mean the process is over. Growth continues. Development continues. God continues to build within you as you walk with Him. You are not a finished product; you are a living structure. And God is still working.
There is also a level of confidence that comes with becoming. Not arrogance, but assurance. You know that you did not get here by accident. You know that God has been with you every step of the way. That confidence allows you to stand, to move, and to walk in purpose without fear. Becoming also prepares you for visibility. There will be moments when God reveals what He has built in you. But now, you are ready. Because you have been formed, positioned, strengthened, and covered, you can now be seen without being shaken. God does not expose what He has not prepared.
And you have been prepared. So today, Good Morning Sunshine, embrace this truth, You are not just going through something. You are becoming something. Brick by brick, God has built something within you that can stand, carry, and reflect His glory.
Let’s Pray:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for every stage of this journey. Thank You for forming me, positioning me, strengthening me, and covering me. Thank You that nothing I have gone through was wasted, and every moment was part of Your divine plan. Lord, I surrender fully to what You are doing in me. I release resistance, fear, and doubt, and I embrace the process. I thank You that I am not just going through, I am becoming. Father, let my life be a dwelling place for Your presence. According to Your Word, I am Your temple, and I invite You to live fully within me. Fill every part of my life with Your Spirit, Your peace, and Your glory. Lord, purify anything in me that does not align with You. Remove every thought, habit, and desire that would hinder what You are building. Make me a vessel that is clean, prepared, and ready for Your use. Father, help me to carry what You have placed within me with humility and honor. Let me never take lightly what I carry. Teach me to steward Your presence well. Lord, when I feel the weight of what I carry, remind me that it is glory and not burden. Strengthen me to walk in it with confidence and faith. Father, align my life completely with Your will. Let my words reflect You, let my actions honor You, and let my decisions be led by You. Lord, thank You for preparing me for what is ahead. Thank You that I was not exposed prematurely but revealed at the right time. Let me walk in readiness for every door You open. Father, give me wisdom to navigate this season of becoming. Help me to walk with discernment, humility, and clarity in every step I take. Lord, keep me grounded in You. Do not let success, visibility, or growth pull me away from Your presence. Let me remain rooted in the same place that built me. Father, I declare that I am Yours. I am Your vessel, Your temple, Your dwelling place. Build through me, move through me, and be glorified in me. Lord, continue to grow me even in this stage. Do not let me become stagnant or comfortable. Stretch me, refine me, and deepen me as I walk with You. Father, I thank You that what You have built in me will stand. It will not crumble, it will not fail, and it will not be shaken, because You are the One who built it. Lord, teach me how to honor what You have placed within me. Let me not take lightly the calling, the growth, and the transformation You have worked in my life. Help me to walk in reverence, knowing that I carry Your presence. Father, guard me against pride, self-reliance, and distraction. As You elevate me and as I grow, keep my heart humble and my spirit dependent on You. Let me never forget that everything I am and everything I carry comes from You. Lord, help me to remain consistent in this place of becoming. Let me not grow weary after reaching new levels, but let me continue to seek You, trust You, and walk with You daily. Keep my hunger for You alive and active. Father, use my life as a reflection of Your glory. Let others see Your work through me. Let my testimony, my growth, and my journey point back to You so that You receive all the honor. Lord, when new responsibilities come with this level of growth, give me wisdom to handle them well. Help me to balance what You have placed in my hands without becoming overwhelmed. Let Your grace meet me in every assignment. Father, strengthen me for what is ahead. If this is just the beginning of what You are doing in me, prepare me for greater levels, deeper faith, and stronger endurance. Let me continue to grow without fear. Lord, let my life remain surrendered. Even as I become, I still yield. Even as I grow, I still submit. Even as I carry more, I still depend on You. Keep me in a posture of surrender. Father, I thank You that I am not the same person I used to be. I thank You for the growth, the change, and the transformation. And I trust that You will continue to build in me until everything You have spoken over my life comes to pass. Father, enlarge my capacity to carry more of Your presence without losing my posture of humility. Stretch my faith so I can believe You at greater levels, and expand my understanding so I can walk in deeper revelation. Lord, establish my steps in righteousness. Let every move I make be ordered by You so that I do not step outside of Your will. Keep me aligned with Your purpose at every level of my life. Father, give me endurance for the journey ahead. Let me not grow tired in doing what is right, but strengthen me to continue, knowing that You are working through every step I take. Lord, let my life produce fruit that remains. Not temporary results, but lasting impact that reflects Your hand upon me. Let everything I carry overflow into the lives of others. Father, I seal this season of becoming with trust. I trust what You have done, what You are doing, and what You will continue to do in my life. And I declare that I will walk fully in who You have called me to be. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.
Nugget ~ You are not just part of the building, You are what God built, and now you carry what He placed inside of you!
