Good Morning Sunshine! Don’t Trip Over What You’ve Already Been Given Authority To Walk Over!

Luke 10:19 (NKJV) ~ “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

When Jesus spoke these words, He was transferring authority, not suggesting possibility. “Serpents and scorpions” represent hidden dangers, spiritual attacks, and unexpected traps, the very things that try to rise up and take you out when you least expect it. Yet Jesus makes it clear: you have authority over all the power of the enemy, not some, not partial, but all. That means nothing the enemy sends has more power than what God has already placed within you. The phrase “nothing shall by any means hurt you” does not deny the presence of challenges, but it denies their ability to destroy your destiny. You may feel pressure, but you will not be crushed; you may encounter resistance, but you will not be overtaken. This authority is not something you earn, it is something you receive and walk in. Your responsibility is not to fight for it, but to function from it.

You were never created to walk through life intimidated by what is already beneath you. There is a confidence that comes when you truly understand the authority that has been given to you through Jesus Christ. It shifts how you think, how you respond, and most importantly, how you walk. What once caused you to hesitate should now be something you step over with clarity and conviction.

Authority changes your posture before it ever changes your circumstance. You may still see the same challenges, face the same situations, and encounter the same pressures, but something within you refuses to bow to it. You are no longer reacting from fear, you are responding from truth. And that truth anchors you in a reality that is greater than what you see. Many times, the enemy does not need to defeat you, he just needs to convince you that you cannot win. If he can distort your perception, he can delay your movement and disrupt your momentum. But when your mind is renewed by God’s Word, you begin to see clearly that what stands before you is not greater than what is within you.

There are things in your life that look like threats but are actually beneath your authority. They only appear powerful because you have not yet stepped into the understanding of who you are. But once revelation meets movement, intimidation loses its grip and confidence begins to rise. You must also recognize that authority is not passive, it requires action and participation. You cannot stand still and expect to experience dominion over what has been assigned to you. Authority is revealed in motion, and every step you take in faith becomes a declaration of agreement with heaven.

Sometimes fear will try to freeze you in place, making you feel like moving is dangerous or risky. But staying still in fear often gives more power to the obstacle than stepping forward in faith ever would. Movement disrupts fear, and faith activates what has already been given to you. The truth is what tried to take you out has already been placed under your feet. You are not walking toward victory, you are walking from it, and that changes everything. Your steps are not efforts to win; they are expressions of what has already been won.

Even when you don’t feel strong, your authority does not change or diminish. Your emotions may fluctuate, but your identity remains rooted and secure. You are still chosen, still called, still empowered, and still equipped for everything that comes your way. God has already equipped your feet for the terrain you are walking on. Psalm 18:33 reminds you that your footing is secure, even in unfamiliar or difficult places. You are not fragile, you are strengthened by His presence and supported by His power.

There is also a level of trust required to walk in authority. You have to trust that God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave it to you. He did not overlook your limitations, He covered them, and He did not miscalculate your assignment, He prepared you for it. When you step, you begin to see differently and think differently. What once looked overwhelming begins to lose its dominance over your mind. Movement reveals truth, while fear distorts it and keeps you stuck in illusion.

You are not meant to tiptoe around the enemy’s tactics; you are meant to walk over them with confidence. Every step you take is a declaration that you believe in the authority you have been given. It is not arrogance; it is alignment. There is also a responsibility that comes with authority; you must steward it well. That means you do not misuse it, neglect it, or ignore it.

You walk in it daily, consistently applying it in your thoughts, your words, and your actions. Authority also requires awareness of what you are agreeing with. If you agree with fear, you weaken your movement. But when you agree with God’s Word, you strengthen your stance. Your agreement determines your experience.

So today, refuse to give power to what is beneath you. Refuse to magnify what God has already minimized and stripped of authority. Lift your foot and step boldly, knowing that nothing under you has the power to destroy you. And as you continue to walk, remember this, it has already been paid for, and you have the receipt. Because of what the Father did just for you, you have already stepped over everything that tried to take you out. Your walk is not uncertain, it is secured, covered, and empowered by Him.

Let’s Pray:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for the authority You have given me through Christ. I thank You that I am not powerless but empowered to walk in victory over everything that tries to rise against me. I receive this authority not as an idea, but as a truth that I will live out daily. Lord, forgive me for the times I allowed fear to dictate my steps and hesitation to delay my movement. Forgive me for shrinking back when You had already equipped me to move forward with confidence. Today, I release every lie that has made me feel weak, unqualified, or incapable. Jesus, thank You that You have given me authority over all the power of the enemy. I receive that truth deeply, and I choose to walk in it without hesitation. I will not live intimidated by what You have already defeated and placed beneath my feet. Holy Spirit, renew my mind so that I see clearly what is beneath me. Help me not to elevate obstacles above my authority, but to walk in truth and confidence every single day. Align my thinking with heaven so that I move with clarity and boldness. I declare that I will walk boldly and confidently in every area of my life. I will not hesitate or second-guess what You have already spoken over me. I will move forward knowing that I am covered, protected, and empowered by You. Strengthen my faith so that I trust You even when I don’t fully understand what I am facing. Let my steps reflect my belief in Your Word and my confidence in Your power. Teach me to move in faith, not feelings. Father, teach me how to use my authority daily with wisdom and discernment. Show me how to speak with power, act with confidence, and respond with clarity in every situation. Let my life reflect the authority I carry. I declare that everything assigned to defeat me is already beneath me. I will not be overtaken, overwhelmed, or defeated, because I walk in the authority You have given me. I stand firm in that truth. Thank You that I am not walking alone in this journey. Thank You that Your presence is with me, guiding me, strengthening me, and covering me every step of the way. I take comfort in knowing You are always near. Lord, build my confidence in You so deeply that I no longer question my authority. Let my identity in You become unshakable and rooted in truth. Establish me in a place where doubt cannot move me. Lord, I receive Your boldness today, and I receive clarity in my walk. I declare that fear will no longer control my movement or silence my faith. I will step forward in confidence, knowing that You are with me. Father, remind me daily that it has already been paid for and that I have the receipt. Let that truth silence every voice of doubt and hesitation. I will walk in what You have given me, knowing I have already stepped over everything that tried to take me out. In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.

Nugget ~ You don’t step into authority, you step from it, because everything that tried to stop you is already under your feet!

Blessings…

Love, Dr. Jean…
