Good Morning Sunshine! Walk Like It’s Settled, Because It Is, Now Act Accordingly!

Hebrews 10:14 (NKJV) ~  “For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.”

This scripture reveals a powerful and layered truth about what Jesus accomplished on the cross. When it says, “by one offering,” it points to the single, final sacrifice of Jesus, unlike the repeated sacrifices in the Old Testament that could never fully remove sin. His one act was sufficient for all time. The phrase “has perfected forever” does not mean that you are flawless in behavior, but that your position before God has been made complete, whole, and accepted through Christ. In other words, you are no longer striving to be approved, you have already been accepted. Yet the verse continues, “those who are being sanctified,” which means that while your position is perfected instantly, your life is still being transformed daily. So, you are both complete in Him and continuously growing in Him. This is the tension of grace, you are already made right, and yet God is still working on you. That means your walk is not about earning perfection; it is about living from the perfection that Jesus has already secured for you.

There is a posture that comes with knowing something is settled, and it is not a posture of striving, striving, and more striving, but it is a posture of rest, confidence, and assurance in what God says. When Jesus declared, “It is finished,” He wasn’t leaving room for additions or adjustments. He was closing the account of sin, sealing your redemption, and finalizing your access to God. That means your life is not built on uncertainty, but it is built on the completed work of the Cross.

Yet many believers live as if the work is still in progress. You are revisiting what God has already resolved, questioning what God has already confirmed, and hesitating in places where God has already declared victory. But when something is truly settled, you stop negotiating with it. You don’t keep going back to re-evaluate it. You stand on it, you trust it, and you move forward because of it.

Walking like it’s settled means your faith is no longer fragile, it becomes firm, rooted, and anchored. Hebrews 6:19 calls hope “an anchor of the soul.” That means when everything around you feels unstable, your soul has something solid to hold onto. You are not drifting with every wave of emotion or circumstance; you are anchored in what Jesus has already done.

When I stepped across that grass and saw those ant piles, I didn’t panic, and I didn’t retreat. I adjusted my steps. I became intentional in my movement. That is what God is calling you to do, not to be paralyzed by what you see, but to become purposeful in how you walk. The obstacles didn’t have the power to stop me unless I gave them that power by refusing to move. Some of you have been giving power to things that are beneath you. Fear has been speaking louder than faith. Doubt has been louder than truth. But Romans 8:37 says you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you. That means you are not trying to win; you are walking from victory.

Walking like it’s settled also shifts your internal dialogue. You stop saying, “What if it doesn’t happen?” and you start declaring, “It is already done.” You stop speaking from fear and start speaking from faith. Your words become an extension of your belief. Mark 11:23 reminds us that what we believe and speak has power, so your confession must align with what God has already finished.

There is also a deep peace that flows from this understanding. Not surface-level peace, but a settled peace that quiets your mind and steadies your heart. John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you… Let not your heart be troubled.” This peace is not dependent on what’s happening around you, it is rooted in what has already been done for you. (Read this sentence again!)

You are not walking into uncertainty; you are walking into manifestation. What God has already completed in the spirit, you are now stepping into in the natural. That means your steps are not guesses, they are alignments. Every step forward is a demonstration that you trust what God has already secured. Sometimes the hesitation comes because you are trying to understand everything before you move. But God is not asking for your full understanding; He is asking for your full obedience. Isaiah 55:8–9 reminds us that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours. That means you don’t have to fully comprehend it to walk in it.

Walking like it’s settled requires you to release control. You are not managing outcomes; you are trusting God’s Sovereignty. You are not forcing doors open; you are walking through the ones He has already opened. And when you understand that pressure lifts off your shoulders. Even your pace changes when you know it’s settled.

You are no longer rushing out of anxiety or delaying out of fear. You are moving in rhythm with God. You are steady, intentional, and aligned. Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Stillness does not mean inactivity; it means inner peace while you continue to move forward.

And here is the truth, you don’t need to fight for what has already been finished. You simply need to walk in it. The battle has already been won. The price has already been paid. The receipt is already in your hands. Now your responsibility is to live like it. So today, walk like it’s settled. Let your thoughts align, let your words align, and let your steps align. Because when heaven has already declared it finished, earth must eventually reflect it.

Let’s Pray:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for the finished work of the cross. I thank You that through one sacrifice, You have made me complete in You, even as You continue to transform me daily. I stand in awe of the power of what You have done, knowing that nothing in my life is outside the reach of Your redemption. Lord, I acknowledge that I have not always lived like it was settled. I have questioned, doubted, and hesitated in places where You have already spoken truth. Today, I repent for every moment I doubted what You declared, and I release every thought that has kept me bound in uncertainty. Jesus, thank You for being the final sacrifice. Thank You that there is nothing left for me to earn, prove, or strive for. I rest in Your finished work, and I receive the fullness of what You have done, allowing Your truth to become my reality. Holy Spirit, renew my mind. Help me to think from a place of victory, not defeat. Help me to see myself the way You see me, complete, accepted, and covered, and continually being shaped into Your image. Teach me how to walk in this truth daily. When fear tries to rise, remind me that it is already settled. When doubt tries to speak, silence it with Your Word in my spirit, and anchor me in Your promises. I declare that I will walk in confidence. I will not shrink back. I will not hesitate. I will move forward knowing that You have already gone before me and made a way where there seemed to be none. Father, give me peace that surpasses all understanding. Let it guard my heart and mind so that I am not shaken by what I see or feel. Let Your peace become the atmosphere I live in, no matter what surrounds me. Strengthen my faith so that my steps reflect my trust in You. Let my life be a testimony that I believe what You have already done, and that I am fully persuaded that Your promises are true. I declare that I am not striving, I am resting. I am not earning, I am receiving. I am not chasing; I am walking in what has already been established for me before the foundation of the world. Lord, align my thoughts, my words, and my actions with Your truth. Let everything about me reflect the reality that it is already finished, and that I am living from a place of divine completion. Father, uproot every lingering mindset that tries to pull me back into doubt, fear, or striving. Break every cycle of overthinking, overanalyzing, and hesitation that keeps me from moving forward in faith. Give me spiritual sensitivity to recognize when I am stepping out of alignment with Your truth and gently correct my course. Let Your voice be louder than every other voice that competes for my attention. Lord, establish my identity in You so deeply that I am no longer moved by opinions, past failures, or present challenges. Let my confidence be rooted in who You say I am, not in what I experience. I declare that my steps are ordered, my path is covered, and my future is secure in You. I will not walk in confusion, but in clarity. I will not walk in fear, but in faith. I will not walk in doubt, but in divine assurance. Thank You that I am not alone in this walk. Thank You that Your Spirit lives within me, guiding me, strengthening me, and empowering me to live out what has already been settled in heaven. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

Nugget ~ You are not working toward completion; you are walking from it!

Blessings…

Love, Dr. Jean…
