Good Morning Sunshine! Here is our New Devotional Series Title: The Receipt & The Steps, Walking In What’s Already Paid For!

As I was sitting in Transformation Church in Tulsa Oklahoma on Sunday morning in worship, I heard Pastor Mike Todd and his mom Pastor Brenda Todd say something that arrested my spirit, “When you have the receipt, you know that something is paid for.” My, my, my, that thing settled deep within me and now I am going to share it with you. While they continued speaking, my mind had already taken flight into the revelation of what Jesus did for you and me over 2,000 years ago. It has already been paid for, whatever you need, it’s already been covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

And then as I was walking to my car after having lunch  with some of the women of God, I found myself walking across a patch of grass. Scattered across the ground were several ant piles, little landmines that required careful steps. As I lifted my foot and navigated my way through, I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, “This is how you walk over the landmines, by picking up your foot, one step at a time.” And in that moment, the revelation came together.

You already have the receipt; the Blood of Jesus paid it all. But life will still present landmines;  offense, fear, doubt, trauma, and trials that try to take you out. The victory is not in avoiding the field, it’s in knowing how to walk through it. You walk by faith. You step with intention. You move with the confidence that nothing beneath you has the authority to destroy you because everything over you has already been settled. It’s paid for. And now, you walk it out!

Good Morning Sunshine! You Have The Receipt, Now Take The Step Like You Know Who Paid For It, For You!

Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV) ~ “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

Colossians 2:14 (NKJV) ~ “Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us… He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”

There is a difference between knowing something is paid for and living like it’s paid for. Many people shout over the promise but hesitate in the process. You have the receipt, but you’re still standing still, afraid to move. Yet faith doesn’t just believe, it steps. Faith doesn’t just receive, it walks, even when the ground looks uncertain beneath you.

Jesus paid the price in full, with His Blood. That means your healing, your peace, your deliverance, your restoration, it’s not something you are waiting on God to do. It’s something God has already done. 1 Peter 2:24 reminds us that “by His stripes you were healed,” not “you will be.” The provision is already complete; your responsibility is to walk into what has already been secured.

As I walked across that grass and saw those ant piles, I realized something, the landmines didn’t disappear. They were still there. But they didn’t have to stop me. I just had to be mindful of how I walked. Psalm 119:105 says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” That means God doesn’t always illuminate the entire field, He illuminates your next step. Some of you have been standing still because you see too many “what ifs.” What if I fail? What if I fall? What if it doesn’t work? But the truth is, what if it’s already worked? What if the step, you’re afraid to take has already been covered by the Blood of Jesus? 2 Corinthians 1:20 declares that all the promises of God are “Yes and Amen,” not “maybe and pending.”

The receipt gives you confidence, it is your proof, your evidence that you have it. When you know something is paid for, you don’t hesitate to claim it. You don’t second-guess ownership. You don’t ask permission to receive what already belongs to you. The cross settled it. Heaven confirmed it. Now your steps must reflect it. Romans 8:1 reminds you that there is no condemnation, so why are you walking like you are still guilty?

Every step you take is an act of agreement with God. When you move forward despite fear, you are saying, “I trust what has already been done.” When you choose obedience over comfort, you are declaring, “The receipt is enough proof for me.” Faith is not just internal; it is demonstrated through movement. The landmines in your life are not there to destroy you; they are there to reveal how you walk. Will you walk in fear, or will you walk in faith? Will you tiptoe in anxiety, or will you stride in authority? Luke 10:19 says you have been given authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, that means what is beneath you does not outrank what is within you.

God is not asking you to remove every obstacle. He is asking you to move anyway. One step at a time. One decision at a time. One act of obedience at a time. Proverbs 3:5–6 instructs you to trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths, not reveal them all at once, but direct them step by step. And here’s the assurance, the same Blood that paid your debt also covers your steps. That means even if you misstep, grace is already there. Even if you hesitate, mercy is already present. Psalm 37:23–24 says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and even if he falls, he will not be utterly cast down.

You are not walking through life unprotected; you are walking through life already covered. The Blood didn’t just redeem your past; it secured your future. That means there is no step you will take that God has not already accounted for. His sovereignty goes before you, and His Grace follows behind you.

Sometimes the fear of stepping comes from focusing too much on the ground instead of the God who governs your path. You are analyzing every ant pile, every potential threat, every possible outcome, but God is saying, “Lift your eyes.” Hebrews 12:2 tells us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. When your focus shifts, your fear loses its grip. You were never meant to stand still in a field of fear. You were created to move in a life of faith. The receipt in your hand is not just proof of payment; it is permission to proceed. It is heaven’s authorization for you to move forward without hesitation.

There is also a rhythm to walking with God that requires trust in motion. You don’t sprint through a minefield, you step carefully, intentionally, and with awareness. In the same way, your spiritual walk is not rushed, but it is steady. Galatians 5:25 says, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” That means your steps are not random; they are guided.

The enemy’s goal is not always to destroy you instantly, sometimes it is simply to stop you from moving. If he can freeze you in fear, he can delay your destiny. But today, you break that cycle. You are not stuck. You are not trapped. You are moving forward, one step at a time, with heaven backing every step you take. And even deeper than that, every step you take becomes a testimony. When you walk over what tried to take you out, you are declaring to the enemy that his plan failed. You are showing others that survival is possible, that victory is real, and that God is faithful. Your walk becomes a witness.

So today, lift your foot. Don’t stay stuck in what could go wrong. Don’t let fear paralyze your movement. You have the receipt. Now take the step. Because what tried to take you out has already been paid for, and you have the authority to walk over it.

Let’s Pray:

Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for the finished work of the cross. I thank You that every debt, every sin, every burden was already paid in full through the blood of Jesus. Lord, forgive me for the times I have lived as though I was still in debt. Forgive me for carrying guilt, shame, and fear when You have already declared me free. Today, I release everything You already nailed to the cross. Jesus, I honor Your sacrifice. I thank You that You did not leave anything undone. You completed the work, and because of that, I can walk in confidence, knowing that my life is covered by Your blood. Holy Spirit, teach me how to walk in what has already been provided. Help me to move forward even when fear tries to hold me back. Give me the courage to take steps that align with Your truth. Lord, order my steps daily. Illuminate my path, one step at a time. When I feel uncertain, remind me that I don’t need to see the whole journey, I just need to trust You in the next step. I declare that I will not be paralyzed by fear. I will not be stuck in hesitation. I will move forward in faith, knowing that what is beneath me has no authority over me.  Father, give me discernment as I walk. Help me to recognize the traps of the enemy and step over them with wisdom and confidence. Let my steps be intentional and aligned with Your will. Thank You that even when I stumble, Your grace catches me. Thank You that I am never alone in my walk. You are with me, guiding me, strengthening me, and covering me. I receive the truth today, I have the receipt, and I will walk in what has already been paid for. My steps are ordered, my path is covered, and my future is secure in You. Lord, strengthen my inner man so that I do not grow weary in walking. Let perseverance rise within me. Let faith be my posture and obedience be my response, even when it is difficult. I declare that every step I take will be aligned with purpose. I will not wander aimlessly, and I will not retreat in fear. I move forward with divine direction and spiritual confidence. Thank You that I am not just surviving, I am walking in victory. I am walking in freedom. I am walking in what You have already established for me. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Nugget ~ When you know it’s paid for, you stop hesitating, and you start walking like victory is already under your feet!

Blessings…

Love, Dr. Jean…
