Good Morning Sunshine! It Is Time To Pause, Rest, And Reflect!

Dear Transformed at the Well Family,

After much prayer and reflection, I will be taking a pause break from writing and sending daily devotionals for the month of July. My last devotional before the break will be on Friday, July 3, and I will be away from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 31, returning on Monday, August 3.

As I step away for this brief season of rest, I encourage you to revisit one of your favorite devotionals from the past several years. Read it again with fresh eyes and a fresh heart. If it blessed you once, it may bless you even more the second time around. I also encourage you to share that devotional with someone else. One of the greatest joys of this ministry has been knowing that God’s Word continues to travel beyond the original reader and reaches hearts, homes, families, churches, workplaces, and communities around the world.

During this pause, I want to leave you with a simple four-week challenge centered on one of the greatest themes in all of Scripture: Love.

Week One: Receive God’s Love July 6th – 10th

Scripture: Romans 5:8 ~ Spend this week reflecting on how deeply God loves you. Not because of what you do, but because of who He is. Allow His love to heal wounds, quiet insecurities, and strengthen your identity in Christ.

Week Two: Love Yourself Through God’s Eyes July 13th – 17th

Scripture: Psalm 139:14 ~ Spend this week thanking God for the person He created you to be. Embrace His grace, forgive yourself where needed, and celebrate the unique purpose He has placed upon your life.

Week Three: Love Others Intentionally July 20th – 24th

Scripture: John 13:34-35 ~ Look for opportunities to encourage, serve, forgive, and bless others. Let someone experience the love of Christ through your words, actions, and attitude.

Week Four: Walk in Love Daily July 27th – 31st

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 ~ Ask yourself each day: “What would love do?” Allow love to guide your decisions, conversations, relationships, and responses.

As you journey through these four weeks, remember two important truths:  Rest is holy. God rested on the seventh day, not because He was tired, but because He was establishing a principle. Rest is not laziness. Rest is stewardship. Rest is trust. Rest is obedience. No is biblical. Sometimes saying “no” to one thing allows you to say “yes” to what God is calling you to in a particular season. Boundaries are not barriers; they are blessings that help protect your purpose, your peace, and your health.

I am deeply grateful for each of you who takes the time to read, share, pray over, and apply these devotionals. What began as a simple act of obedience has become a beautiful community of believers growing together in God’s Word. My prayer has always been that these devotionals would draw others to Christ and draw you even closer to His Word.

Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you each morning. Thank you for your prayers, your encouragement, your testimonies, and your faithfulness. I cannot wait to reconnect with you in August. Until then, spend time with the Lord, spend time in His Word, revisit your favorite devotionals, and please continue sharing what God is doing in your life. I would love to hear from you during this time, so feel free to send me messages and testimonies. May God’s peace rest upon you, His joy strengthen you, and His love surround you. See you in a month, and I cannot wait to hear what the Lord has done for you.

Staying Connected

As we prepare for this brief pause, I want to make sure we stay connected when the devotionals resume in August.

If you would like to continue receiving the daily devotionals via text message, please respond with the word “TEXT” by July 30th. If you would prefer to receive the devotionals via email, please select the Subscribe button and send me a message that says “SUBSCRIBED.”

This will help me ensure everyone receives the devotionals through their preferred method when we return on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Please continue spending time with the Lord, reading His Word, revisiting your favorite devotionals, and sharing them with others. I would also love to hear from you during this break. Send me your testimonies, prayer reports, praise reports, and stories of what God is doing in your life. Nothing blesses my heart more than hearing how God’s Word is impacting His people.

The greatest reward of this ministry has never been numbers. It has been watching people grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and stronger in their understanding of His Word.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you for your prayers.

Thank you for your faithfulness.

May God’s peace rest upon you, His joy strengthen you, His grace sustain you, and His love surround you throughout this month. See you in August, and I cannot wait to hear what the Lord has done for you.

Love and Blessings,

Dr. Jean Stepter-Gray
